Of all the trading companies in the game, the Gold Hoarders are the ones I've worked with the most. Much of my wealth was acquired through their missions
Same, mostly because I like their aesthetics and lore. The quests are also very straightforward. The gold is much appreciated too though!

interesting little feature i discovered yesterday: in the Pirate Chat wheel, when you hold a gold hoarder chest, there is an option to say "We're in the money!" BUT: the number of exclamation points in that sentence correspond to the value of the chest: 1 for castaway, 2 for seafarer, 3 for marauder, and 4 for captain.

This was awsome. I'm glad a series like this is being made, the companies are very interesting and important but finding out their lore is hard since most of it is out of game. Surely there will be no bias when we get to the reapers right?
This is a no bias series and will focus on pure facts that can be referenced by in game lore, books, comics and developer interviews. If speculation appears in the video, it will be clearly noted with red text when it begins and ends (if not specified by my commentary).

I really like these style of lore videos, general lore of the factions etc etc. You could even do islands if you needed to, golden sands, shipwreck bay, etc.
The only thing I think you need to do is differentiate these general lore videos from your normal news and updates and things videos. I enjoy all of your content, but making it easier to see which videos are new and upcoming things in the sea of thieves, and which ones are general lore or info videos, would be nice. Something like a nice header title (ex: Cornicles of the SoT: The Gold Hoarders) might work well. Or something within your thumbnails that stays the same for this whole series (ex: a colored boarder, or a triangle in the corner with a logo). A good example is how the Game Theorist thumbnails are done.
It's just my opinion, but having a new series shown off alittle differently from your usually stuff looks very professional, and might help people find the videos of yours that they like! instead of having to scroll through all of your vids.

I really hope Season 9 gives us some way to "join" the trading companies, because while I am interested in getting the Ghost Blessing, I am far more of a Hoarder than I am an Athena or a Reaper!

Is Humphrey now the leader of the Gold Hoarders? I feel like there was an out of game reference to him being so (something to do with the Sovereigns, could be mistaken tho) Just wondering as it would truly add another element to his character, perhaps a successor to Rathbone.
Not as far as we know and it seems like he's not so senior, but there are other named Gold Hoarders that are not in game
