Off topic, but is your rear Toyota logo/emblem plasti-dipped? If so, how's it held up over time?

Hey Zach I ordered some shirts a while ago just seeing if you have an eta.

The selvage edge (the uncut, woven, outside, long edge of the bolt or roll of fabric) is typically fray proof, but it is also typically ugly which is part of why the better tent makers brag about the fact that they hide or eliminate those edges. likewise on nylon you can reduce or eliminate the chances of fraying by getting a hot knife from amazon and using it to cut your material instead of using scissors, but while this creates a largely fray proof edge by melting the nylon it too can be ugly but less bulky. You can also use heat or adhesive to literally weld the fabric together, but with heat you have to be very careful not to burn through unless you are trying to create an eyelet. speaking of eyelets, a chisel or punch that has been heated with a torch will make clean holes and melt the cut fibers reducing likelihood of fraying. Now all this only applies to nylon or similar synthetics, but for a project like this not many are going to want to use canvas as ripstop nylon is in most cases the better choice.

I have this nagging feeling you will come to regret skipping the no-see-um screen.

What a cool project Zach! It was really cool to get to meet you at MOORE. It was my first time and I super enjoyed getting to see your rig. I’m still enjoying the coffee and I hope we get to meet again someday (and hopefully I’ll have my own 4Runner) Thanks! -Chris⛰️🚙
