Love seeing Ryan throwing from his HS days as a long time coach at Sam Barlow HS it was awesome seeing him and his younger brother Matt come through the program and both become well rounded human beings. Amazing family!!
Good stuff here, been watching Ryan for years, remember watching his pops throw with Bill Green, John Frazier, even a young Blutreich back in the day on the west coast. Ryan is not only a class act but a phenomenal athlete!!! Now 23.58. Got to make sure I got seats for Budapest!
I am always amazed how throwers absolutely KNOW they just uncorked one the instant it leaves their hand. Watch him pump his fists on that 23.37 while the shot is still on the way up. Incredible.
When I threw in h.s., I knew when I "uncorked one" because I didn't feel the weight of the shot when it left my hand ! There is as much technique to throwing as there is brute strength.
I think the greatest contributions to the throws Ryan has made is the fact that he has gone his whole career throwing PEDs clean. He brought this fan favorite event back from the PEDs abyss. He also completed his undergraduate and graduate degree with class and distinction. This is something we will never know about, but to me it says so much about what a well rounded role model Ryan is in and out of the ring.
After the last 20 years, I've grown to just wait and see what new PED people are using, that we won't find out about for a few years. It's sad, but pretty much all professional sports have brought this on themselves. Especially Baseball and Track & Field.
its not logical to think that the best In the world at any strength related event is not on some form of PED. If he was natty, there would be someone of similar height, work ethic and technique on something that would throw farther. PEDs just help way to much for the best in the world to not be on them.
@@forestsurvivalexperts2833 All these World Class athletes are being tested on a routine basis. Even if they are on some sort of PEDs it will come out eventually as the testing becomes more sophisticated. With the legacy of the Crouser name in Track and Field I do not think Ryan would purposely do anything that would reflect poorly on his family, the State of Oregon or his alma mater the University of Texas.
@@torq1116 Such a completely ignorant comment. No sport is tested more rigorously on average than track and field, and no national team is tested as much as the US track team. If baseball was tested like track and field, there would be zero baseball (or football, some of basketball). Familiarize yourself with the concept of survivor bias. Did you ever stop to think that testing positives are the result of EFFECTIVE testing?
That's because throwers have to exit the back half and their coaches taught them to minimize fouls by exiting AND entering that way. High school coaching isn't the most sophisticated thing in the world. Many coaches are monkey-see, monkey-do. In most states (if not all), these days, the athlete can enter the ring from any angle/area.
Ryan is the most underrated athlete. Only experts know about the insane performance. The last records 30 years ago were all achieved with doping. If he achieved this performance without doping, that's absolutely phenomenal.
It is a marvelous thing to behold when a man/woman becomes the "BEST" at anything. But it becomes a life inspiring epiphany to witness them seizing the opportunity to push themselves still onward into as yet unknown territory by competing against their ultimate adversary,,,, themselves,,,,,, a divine revelation into the true meaning/purpose of life.

The GOAT!!! Incredible champion.

It's like Curry turning before a three goes down.👌👌👌

He's the best now for sure. The number of throws over 22m, now 23m. Wow.
His the Greatest !
Wow!!!Dude!!! 🤯
I threw the shot and discus back in high school and college and have never seen anyone enter through the front of the circle like he did at 00:20.

I'd love to see one of these elite throwers to try out some disc golf.

23.99 m wish You!
If anyone is going to break 24 meters, it's going to be him.

I don't think 24 meters is humanly possible
لماذا لا يتنافس هذا الرجل في رمي المطرقة او رمي القرص؟ او حتى رمي الرمح!
I couldn't throw one of those across my living room.... I have a small living room.
I couldn’t roll a shot 65 feet…downhill
Jesus loves you and is with you forever, no matter what 💗🤞🏿
