Not only is he the last surviving prosecutor of the Nuremberg trials he was the LEAD prosecutor- I've read his book years ago so happy to know he's still ALIVE - WHAT A PHENOM HE IS!

My Grandfather nearly gave everything in the hedgerows of Normandy, he would also not be pleased with the oath breakers and grifters that seek to destroy our democracy and install an authoritarian government. How quickly people forget, and how ignorant are those who ask for something but do not truly understand what it is they are asking for.
This man is great. He was one of my law school professors as a visiting professor here in NYC 27 years ago! He has barely aged and is just as sharp today. Its remarkable. I remember all of us listening to his stories wide eyed. One of the best experiences I had in school at any level.

I spoke with Mr. Ferencz for 45 minutes in late 2019 to discuss his experiences. What an honor, one of the greatest I have had in all my travels across 40 countries.
That sure is a honour, may he rest in peace now, in Gods loving hands. He is reunited with his dear loved onces. Rest in perpetual peace Ferencz.

I had the honor of meeting this incredible man when he accepted an award at FAU a couple months ago. He is still fighting at 102 years young. He is a national treasure.
When he said that it pains him to see that we have learned so little, it is the first time in a while I've felt deep-pitted shame. Like here sits before us someone who first hand witnessed these atrocities and we as a world have failed to stop them from happening again. My Father passed away a decade ago, but would still be a decade younger than this hero. To see this nightmare of authoritarian extremists and an American President (Trump) who supports Nazis would have devastated him. He didn't have that determination to never give up that we see demonstrated here. Evil will never triumph as long as good people fight on.
My mother was born in 1924. Died at the relatively young age of 70 from cancer. My dad was born in 1914, a few months before WWI, was in the US army in WWII, died at 84. It's not so bad that they lived long enough to see the fall of the Soviet Union, but not long enough to see the horrors that followed.

I feel such a lump of sadness and at the same time honor to find out the Mr. Ferencz is still alive and has all his faculties. I was in school studying the Holocaust when I first saw the films of the trial, and how he comported himself with such dignity. I am glad to find him still living, and saddened that he's had to see that kind of HORROR and CRUELTY all over again. Deeply moved by his simple tenacity. "Never give up." We can't let him down. As he said, " It's up to the people." Us. Each one of us has to make sure this is prosecuted. Also put International laws in place to deal with aggression. I am fortunate. I grew up in a world that had recently prosecuted the criminals from the concentration camps. Like others my age, I am stunned it is happening again.
When he said those words he stirred something in me, my breath quickened and tears were running down my face. We, all of us on this earth, will restore peace. We must.
