Game looks really cool but without a single player or individual server component like 7 days it's a deal-breaker for me. Call me antisocial or whatever but I like having absolute control over who I play with, only including my circle of friends etc. I have a long history of MMOs under my belt, but something about survival games makes me prefer single player.
As people suck I full understand where you are coming from.
@@afacelessname1378yep, that's part of it and the other part is I don't want to get involved in any kind of mass PVP or raiding or anything like that because I have physical issues that affect my reaction time Etc and I don't want to be the person on the team constantly bringing everybody else down. So even in regular MMOs I tend to just solo as much as I possibly can except when whatever Guild I'm in needs another body, beyond that for me it's just a chat room with benefits.
People make me prefer single player.
Exactly, leave the random players for online shooters... survival games only suit singleplayer and co-op with friends, IMO.
Yeah, I feel the same way about MMOs. They always seem to end up just being pay to win with micro transactions that leave solo players in the dust of the poor district.

I get a secret world vibe from this game. I just downloaded it and will give it a go. I also don’t mind a little intro or cutscenes as long as it doesn’t happen often.

Glock you gotta give Rust a try!! They now have PVE servers with challenging NPCs at some of the higher tier monuments. Plus it’s the epitome of “drop me off in my underwear and tell me to gather stone and wood” haha. Love you man!!

Lots of unusual stuff in really nice cases. First weapons case opened looked like it would have had a really cool gun in it, but it was just a machete. Who would put a machete in a hardcore crate like that?
Yeah... as soon as I saw the seasonal resets I was out. It's too bad, as that was never in the early documentation. I'll just go play rust if I want multiplayer with no retention

Soulmask is amazing once you figure out your not meant to use your starter character, the mask is the main part which takes over the souls of others.

I'm interested in a survival game with actual story, because every other game is just survival, having a story gives me a REASON to play through the at-times tedious survival gameplay elements.
I hope they make you collect some corn to proceed in the story.

I like the story driven type of survivals it gives you a reason to keep playing if it just throws you into a survival world with no direction it's very easy to quit the lore gives me drive, ya know

The game has a lot of highly derivative stuff in it, off the top of my head there's also death stranding, Control, SCP, siren head etc all lumped onto "generic survival game"
Disappointing tbh, I was reading about the game earlier, text only, and the discussion made it seem like a seriously hardcore gritty post apocalyptic biopunk war survival game where playtime is spent running and hiding from infighting AI -run military factions, scavenging from ruins etc like a far future This War of Mine (actually disregard all this, that game is "The Forever Winter")

damn dude, just download it... it's free. and don't be a basketcase about installing 'chinese spyware' on your computer or something weird. just play it and decide for yourself. tbh, it's good, but it's alot easier than it was in the earlier beta tests.

It has some bugs for sure. Trying to play with the family and for some reason can’t see my daughter. She can join the group, but we can’t see her don’t know what’s wrong.
U can go-to the safe zone and use the teleport tower to switch to different worlds on that server that's how u guy will be able to see each other the game has like 20 layers on each server cuz the amount of people playing
