Watching you suffer again during my break at work inspired me to email Ginsters (don’t know if anyones tried before) to alert them to your channel and ask if they could sponsor you in some way. Who knows, worth a try 👍
Hey Josh, another great adventure; though not one of the most enjoyable for you personally. Even more impressive that you took the time to film this. Nothing worse, when your wet, tired, and not in the best of moods; to place a camera, ride up hill in a head wind, past the camera a way; then have to come all the way back to retrieve it..then back up the same hill.😱 So fair play to you for that! Love the "Ham-wiches" by the way, excellent semi-carnivore snack; just like the Romans would have eaten 😉.
Thanks for the vid and well done for surviving the elements! Do me a favour, next time you’re going out, let me know, and I’ll get on with that decorating!😉😉
Really enjoyed that. Scenery looked amazing despite the weather. Somehow the rain just adds something. Music reminded me of an artist with Welsh connections - Bibio.
Found your videos not too long ago dude, and i've been on and off a off road, scene seeker and adventure rider type of guy for years. You're inspiring a plan to do a bikepacking adventure for the first time, on my 30th next year. Super unfit as of now but, thats never stopped me. Dude, love the content, keep this alive fella. Big love, merry christmas!
Another corker! Brilliant video and a great ride even without the wind and rain: awesome! Hope the cold clears up sharpish and no ill effects…at least you could enjoy the hamwich 😉 Thank you 👍👍👍🤩
Fantastic scenery and a great adventure you embarked upon in spite of the elements. You are a real trooper for going on no matter what nature threw at you. I am sure as you look back on your adventures you will remember less and less of the adverse conditions but always remember the joy of being out there on your own.
Excellent yet again. Cycled and walked the route you did on your last day a couple of times. Sarn Helen can be quite worn and muddy in parts and one hell of a challenge. We’ll done you👍
Great inspiring vid as always Josh. Don’t know how you cope without a small stove though. I’ve got to have at least a hot drink in the morning or evening for that little bit of comfort, as well as a sleeping mat. You’re one hard core mutha 😊
Great editing and 'filmography' but I would comment that for a Channel called 'keep smiling adventures' there seems to be an awful lot of moaning. Head wind, rain? Croeso I gymru m8 😁, maybe start in Swansea next time, get the prevailing wind direction on your side at least.
One thing you can be sure of in Wales is wind, rain and mountains. Glad you had (at least) a bit of decent weather. Cracking vid yet again and, as an aside, I've just noticed you use/say 'miles' instead of 'K' s'. Hat's off to you for keeping it real and using an understandable measurement 👍
aha yeah i tried using Km for a while but all the signs are in miles so i was just converting everything back to miles anyway so it was pointless in the uk
Great as always, I love the way you present your content, and even when you are faced with so many challenges you manage to stay positive 👍 can I just ask which tyres you used for this trip?
Thanks so much for your video. Helps give me a picture of what to expect... I wanted to ask - I'm hesitating between Sarn Helen or Lôn Las Cymru, bevause the largest travel tyres I can put on my bike are 35mm (I ride a Ridgeback Voyage, very comfortable for touring but quite rigid). Do you think 35mm is doable without damaging the bike if I'm careful and push along when needed? Thanks again 💚
Id say this route would be to rough for 35mm tyres, it's really a MTB route. You would be walking quite a lot if you took this on with 35mm tyres. You would also want disc breaks on this route for sure. Your bike will be great for Lôn Las Cymru though. Happy Adventures :D
@@KeepSmilingAdventures What about the GB divide route with my setup? A no no as well? (Pads, no discs, and I could push to 40mm tyres if I remove the mud guards. Thank you...
you get my vote for the best bike packing channel..hope your recover quick Josh from your bad accident and do more of these great videos.

Aha i think i couple people have in the past they do follow the channel and they have sent me a couple big boxes of pasties before 🙌
You don't look like a tough guy…..but you clearly are👍

Well done Josh, you’re a real trooper!🚲
you went through one of my fav places in the whole of the UK at Elan Valley. Hope you've also had a chance to see it at its best.

Another awesome video hope you feel better
Fantastic edit Josh. Congrats on doing this one. 👍
Unlucky with the weather dude. I bet the views would have been spectacular if you got a bit of sun
Having completed the route, would you have chosen the gravel bike?
Great adventure.

Yeah i have never been one for hot drinks, i just don't get why everyone likes it so much. i swear people just like boiling kettles to be honest 😂
Ace vid!😎🏁
I think theres 3 letters missing from ya hat. Surely it should read BonkERS 😂
Quality vids 👍

Another great video !!
25.14 was that you food delivery lol
27.55 glen neath is about 10 mins from where i live.
Windy, rainy, killer sheep on the road, you Brits are a tough lot.
Nice one .
Do you not plan your rides around a weather forecast?
ah funny enough i was just thinking why ain't they got an off road ride from south to north so be nice to watch
Welcome back to Wales boyo
a very welsh welcome i'd say 😂
Respect..

they are the maxis chronicle 29x3 kinda impossible to find now as they have been discontinued
How long did it Take to complete
Great video yet again Josh. You always fill me with anxiety though 😂 leaving your bike next to you whilst you camp - do you not secure it in anyway?
It's attached to the tent guyline but I'm always pretty much out of site. And don't let anyone see me set up

Can I ask what app for directions yours using
how do you keep your bike secure when wild camping? I always have this irrational fear someones going to come by and steal my bike
Mountain bike or gravel bike, what would be the best option?
MTB
and at 12.11 am in the night or morning of 6/9/2022, ive have just made myself a couple of hamwiches ,
Wouldn’t it be more sensible to start this route from the south? Prevalings coming from south-west normally, and all that …
What did you think on a scale of 0-10
Do you own a bike with a gearbox and Bert???
Hamwich vs Cheesewich.
🤔🤔 the ultimate showdown
Yet another excellent vid Josh. Keep them coming 👍
