Definitely struggling a bit with the same issues on my team. I've probably spoken more on Skype, TeamSpeak and Discord so the different way of communicating seems natural to me. Others who aren't so accustomed to that will just keep on talking and lose their focus when someone rightfully interrupts them. You kinda have to learn to talk a bit over each other.
As a Brazilian, can totally confirm how useful being able to ask for the check in a busy and loud restaurant is.
