    I think one of the great things about the symphonic (Sonata-Allegro) form is that it is one of the best musical forms that highlights musical tension and relaxation - catharsis; not only in the entire symphony but also in each movement. I think Brahms was a true master at this.

      I would say Dvorak 9th symphony is a great example

      Although the last movement is in sonata form, not in Rondo

    I think Beethoven 2 is also a scherzo instead of a minuet? And Beethoven 1 is labelled Menuetto but is too fast to be one.
