back in the day, when this movie came out, I heard about it, but never bother to go see it, I was thinking about this movie the other day, and I found it here, thank you to whoever posted this movie. Coming from a dysfunctional family it really hits the core on me. There is not much that you can do to change your family and the way they are. Years will pass, some eventually die and you still can't change them., you rather have to change.

2:46 hit me hard and made me tear up. Me and my sons mom separated and i didnt get to see my son as much. I work in law enforcement and they bumped our mandatory OT to 8 extra shifts a month. My son started to distance himself from me. One time i asked him to sleep over my house with me and he refused like this moment. I felt like Jimmy did and wanted to jump off a bridge driving home. My son was around 5. Thankfully i did everything to be in his life more these past years. We're close as ever. As I'm typing this im going to pick him up later to stay with me the next 3 days. We're going to a Ducks game tonight and Disneyland on Wednesday. He's 8 now. Always be there for your kids guys, never lose out on those core memories for a job, gang, or other reasons.

I spent the whole time over at his house (no hotel) and his family loved me and i loved them and we all got along and drank and ate together! They learn from me and i learn from them. They like me that i am able to mingle amongst them. That i am able to talk like them, and that i am able to understand their culture and the way they talk. And even whilst amongst them i remain Latina and they love that too. :)
