The blade speed is either on or off, it does have the turbo setting for a little more power and speed for heavier grass, but it is still on or off, the self propelled function has a lever on the bars to adjust travel speed.
I kinda feel burned a little bit by Echo with my 58v system. They are amazing tools and only had one issue with a 2.0 battery which was warrantied. I felt like they were abandoning us with little to no new products for a few years now. If they do stop fully supporting the 58v line I’m not sure if I’ll get the 56v line. I may switch over to Milwaukee since their M18 line of tools isn’t going anywhere and is getting bigger and better at a crazy pace.
Yeah I have the Milwaukee M18 fuel chain saw too, it has tons of power but doesn’t have the top end the echo has, haven’t ran them side by side yet to see which one is faster or lasts longer but the m18 does have over 200 tools that the battery platform works on, so like you say not going anywhere.
@@lanelebaron ECHO is not getting rid of the 58V line. It isn't listed in the catalogue with the 56V but units, parts and warranty will be available for years to come.
My Toro super recycler doesn’t fully disengage drive wheels when trying to pull backwards and fights me on turns, it is very annoying and makes mowing an aggravating experience. I will not purchase this Echo mower because it does the same thing.
@@WilliamsonRidge Back in the 1990s you had to drive a Ford ranger backwards to fully disengage the four wheel drive. I think we should be way beyond that horrible engineering by now. Even with lawnmowers.
This mower is an epic fail disaster for Echo. This is only has a 1 kw motor that ONLY produces three foot pounds of tourque. Echo 3 foot pounds of tourque. Milwaukee 10 foot pounds of tourque Ego 8.4 foot pounds of tourque. Makita 8 foot pounds of tourque. Toro 7.25 foot pounds of tourque. The handles on this mower are super cheap and flimsy. Who ever designed this terrible mower at Echo should be ashamed and fired. Echo recall all these rediculas mowers , put a bigger way more powerful motor and redesign these flimsy handles.
@@WilliamsonRidge Better to pay $1,000 for a lawnmower that works really good than pay $500 for a way underpowered mower that is build like a flemsy toy that won't last very long.
We have this mower and it works great
Echo great stuff , big fan 👏
Do the rear wheels propel it or the front?
The rear
Can you install high lift mulching blades on this?
Also, does it come with a plug for the discharge shoot?
Not sure about the high lift blades, it does have a plug for the side discharge and for the rear discharge.
Looks like it does alright
Thanks for showing this.
Looks like it would be good for city yards. Quite and easy to operate and no storing of gasoline.
Yeah I think it will be perfect for that!
Gee, Great, Just wonderful! Now I'll have start mowing my own yard again 😁 LOL
Good info, Thanks again 👍
Thanks! Lol
How do you throttle the speed ?

You should compare the 56v stuff to the 58v stuff
Thanks, that will definitely be an upcoming video!

The Milwaukee quiklok, blower and chainsaw definitely seem to be really popular for a lot of people. Definitely a good option.

This mower is not made by Echo. Steel deck is far to light, Trans is PLASTIC! REALLY!

Yeah you have to remember to push the mower forward a bit every time you release the self propelled lever.

I don’t disagree with that if someone can afford it.

Yes , but I was hoping that the new Echo would be a good mower to add to my four trucks.
