But as I grow older, I see Tabu in myself and I aspire to be as selfless, patient and level headed as that character among all difficulties in my life. 24 years and this movie still gives me a feel good vibe. The characters of Soumya and Major played by Tabu and Mamootty are my all time favourite. They play the Sense and the Sensibility of this brilliant Tamil adaptation. The songs always make it to my phone playlist whenever i change phones. I dont carry it online, i always have it saved in my phone.

Beauty of manohar sowmiya love story is their first meeting and climax scence has same door opeaning scence but the emotions are diffrent also sowmiya cried in both one is in motta maadi and other one balcony but in both manohar and swmiya had accidental eye contact... i❤ They all now remarkable actors... Tamil industry top actors and actresses are from kerala and Karnataka. Yet to satisfy tamil audience they downgrade Malayalam actors. Even this movie the original version had extended time which was done by Malayalee tamil director. But the movie has cut just 7 minutes by the Tamil producer- this youtube channel's owner. Why? If you look at the original version which is available in Amazon prime you will understand. The early cutscene where given to mammooty and srividya's(malayalee) scene. Other Mammooty movies which are thalapathy where his character was very poorly written which doesn't make any sense. Everything about this film is awesome. Mammuka, Ajith, Tabu, Aishwarya and Srividya Mam all have done thier job brilliantly. Emotional scence between Ash and Mammu and the final scene between Ajith are Tabu are heart touching۔ Love you guys❤️❤️❤️😘
Even if a story has nothing special in it, the music that continues to reverberate in your mind while you walk out of the movie leaves you with a great impression.
Only a handful of Tamizh, why, Indian films, that still stands the test of time, that remains fresh and compelling decades after its original release. This is such a masterpiece. Stunning cinematography, great dialogues, solid screenplay thay does not bore despite being a drama with absolutely no action set pieces, ultra brilliant songs, with background scores that elevates this film to cloud nine. Its an absolute bliss! To Thanu, surely, this print looks stunning as it is, but please do consider remastering this film in 4K, with a re-release in cinemas as the 25th anniversary is coming up. It would be a treat for those, like me, who didnt get to watch it in cinemas when it first released.

24 years and this movie still gives me a feel good vibe. The characters of Soumya and Major played by Tabu and Mamootty are my all time favourite. They play the Sense and the Sensibility of this brilliant Tamil adaptation. The songs always make it to my phone playlist whenever i change phones. I dont carry it online, i always have it saved in my phone.

As for actresses they must have one scene or song in the movie that shows they come from kerala even though they were talking tamil the whole time. Tamil industry top actors and actresses are from kerala and Karnataka. Yet to satisfy tamil audience they downgrade Malayalam actors. Even this movie the original version had extended time which was done by Malayalee tamil director. But the movie has cut just 7 minutes by the Tamil producer- this youtube channel's owner. Why? If you look at the original version which is available in Amazon prime you will understand. The early cutscene where given to mammooty and srividya's(malayalee) scene. Other Mammooty movies which are thalapathy where his character was very poorly written which doesn't make any sense. Nanpakal nerath mayakam was directed by malayalee lijo jose pellisery which was basically a malayalam movie.

Yes I accept, most of time Malayalam actors speak in Tamil in Kollywood movies & I have seen Malayalam actors speaking in Tamil when the story goes around TN. Good ex: nanpagal nerathu mayakam, Tamil is used as it is happening in TN. The reason is because of the industry difference, Mollywood is more towards realistic cinema but Kollywood is not.
Please understand we are not language chauvinist😅, that's why i gave example of MGR also ex CM of TN. I knew for sure even a Tamil belongs to Kerala can never become CM in Kerala.
If we get OTT datas for Malayalam movies, most probably in number of views we Tamils will be in the top. I have watched Malayalam movies even without subtitles.

Even if a story has nothing special in it, the music that continues to reverberate in your mind while you walk out of the movie leaves you with a great impression.
Only a handful of Tamizh, why, Indian films, that still stands the test of time, that remains fresh and compelling decades after its original release. This is such a masterpiece. Stunning cinematography, great dialogues, solid screenplay thay does not bore despite being a drama with absolutely no action set pieces, ultra brilliant songs, with background scores that elevates this film to cloud nine. Its an absolute bliss! To Thanu, surely, this print looks stunning as it is, but please do consider remastering this film in 4K, with a re-release in cinemas as the 25th anniversary is coming up. It would be a treat for those, like me, who didnt get to watch it in cinemas when it first released.
