Amitabh understood it after some of his failures. And his transition from Heera Thakur to Narayan Shankar is what makes him relevant to the industry... Like he has never failed!
So correct. Amitabh also suffered from expectations. He did not look old enough but also not young enough. As he aged and KBC came along it made people accept him as old man he was and rest is history.
Govinda is the "Nokia" of Bollywood. He was the legend, moment & icon during 90s. However, he failed to update himself with time and kept on living inside his own bubble of stardom. And that's when the world went 10 times ahead of him.
🍷😆👍 kya uthaharan with nokia.. Kya baath hai sir bravo! 👏. But in all fairness you have a point it does explain the 'Govinda lost in your own bubble syndrome' better than even the video or other comments. Thank you for the comparison and insight.
Every one of his contemporaries bemoaned "his lack of punctuality." In a nutshell, He did not respect time, and time changed as a result. That concludes our discussion.
At one point, Govinda was considered as a successor to Amitabh Bachchan during the late 80s. Even Bachchan admitted in an interview that Govinda's stardom was so enormous that while shooting together for Hum, Govinda was surrounded by dozens and dozens of youth for autographs while Bachchan himself was left with a couple of senior citizens fawning over him. But the alacrity to embrace change was never Govinda's strong suit, unlike Mr. Bachchan. Hence, Mr. Bachchan is still relevant and Govinda has faded away.
@@anirudhd5596 He's irrelevant.. I can't remember any of his single movie that has left an impact on me, all of his movies are for mass audience. He should accept that he's old and do content based movies instead of romancing actresses age of his granddaughter 🤮
@@saurabhraj2690 also please i am not fighting or crying, lets keep the discussion healthy, most of the time i am biased about him, because i truly love his screen presence. you shouldnt say that, you know a joke he cracked in enthiran audio launch regarding himself getting paired with younger heroines. the example was aishwarya. Lets talk about content based movies, he does sivaji and gets criticized a lot, kaala and petta gets accusation of dirty politics, despite it seems to be out and out entertainer. Kabali had no romance, it was all gangster drama, still people call him bad. He is a true gem and a lot stylish, his screen presence is fire till date, i can say Annaatthe and Darbar are his worst movies, but i would never say he is irrelevant. Final point makes no sense srill He remains the most relevant superstar even by box office as he is there in top 10 grossing movies of all time. Avengers age of ultron has an alternate thing to enthiran. I am rreally sorry for having a younger heroine like nayanthara in his last 2 movies, but thats how mass audience is dealt. But i am great fan of his screen presence, even if he wears a wig, it never feels throught the movie thats he is forcefully acting. Recently his daugher separated with danush, you what he is going through these years, lot of criticism, but he still works, because he loves acting.
Like Rajesh Khanna, it was Govinda's unprofessionalism that killed his career. Signing inhumanely large number of films, unable to cope up with the pressure, arriving late on sets, not giving 100% to any film, rendering the final product haphazard and then being very sluggish with the promotions of the films. Govinda's apathy and lackadaisical attitude dug the grave of his career.
The sad part is..he still is living in his stardom era and still makes movies in which he plays the stereotype hero of 90s. I mean it's heartbreaking that he is not sensing the change from stars to actor centric industry.
Lord Bobby is the best example of by doing character roles you don't become small and he revived his career and is now getting lots of love and praises for his acting not his memes
Govinda's supporting ( character) role in "Raavan" (Mani ratnam - Abhishek) is really underrated. He did try , and exhibited really good acting. But may be due to failure of the movie it wasn't noticed well .
Govinda should try up on Web Series, I was watching Trailer for Daswi, and can easily see how Govinda could fit into the main Role while bringing some of his 90s era comedy without effort.
He was a great actor, one of the best dancers in his time, but, unfortunately his choice of films especially in late 90's wasn't good. Brainless Potboilers, and boring comical films was reason of his falling stardom.
@@tired.....247 he was one of the finest, he had great expressions for different moods, specially emotional scenes, viewers wept during emotional scenes.
These are the following reasons why Govinda failed. 1. Bad behaviour on set (coming late, etc). 2. Joining politics. 3. Not taking care of his looks (weight, hairstyle, etc). 4. Huge ego. 5. Misconceptions about himself TILL DATE. 6. Not changing with time. 7. Bad mouthing others who even helped him. 8. Living in a bubble of his in which he is still as popular as he was in the 90s. (His family also supports his thoughts). 9. His flashy, over the top dressing sense. 10. His choice of projects from 2000-2022.
Misconceptions about himself TILL DATE , i agree on this one 😂😆🤣🤣 Once he said he could have acted better than Shahid in the role of Kabir Singh as hero 😆😂
As Jammy told this before, comedy actors should be seen as 'actors' first. Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal among many others redefined their image as comedy actors with brilliant performances across genres. I wish Govinda would have gone out of his comfort zone, which would have led to stellar projects, considering his talent.
His performance in Naseeb is legendary. His greatest ever. The dialogues added with his flawless delivery and the songs, especially Tumhi Ne Meri Zindagi, never fail to captivate me. He's a great actor and I hope he gets to showcase his talent in some good projects if he gets any.
Working with same directors can also damage the actors career. Same happened with Govinda and later with SRK. SRK should take a distance from Farah khan and Salman should take a distance from Prabhu deva and Remo. Working with new directors new teams stay them more relevant. If David Dhawan is no more relevant how could Govinda be relevant in today’s era. AK is also on the path of destroying his career doing multiple movies in a year, he is compromising with scripts and role. He has not done any memorable or remarkable role in his career. This means he has not tested himself. Later after 2-3 years he will be not relevant to the cinema as it is changing drastically. We all are loving the character more than the hero now days. That’s why we are enjoying seeing Abhishek, Raveena, Sushmita, kumud Mishra, Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta. Pankaj Tripathi and Sanjay mishra both are talented actors of the Hindi cinema but the issue is, they are now typecatsed so badly it seems they are doing same character in every movie. They should also think and change the choices of the script and ask for more variety of roles, instead of keep repeating them in same shade.
Type cast is unfortunately a reality in bollywood because of money involve. Most producer makes movies out of contractual money borrowed from big businesses or production houses and those are least interested in shaping the art. They want return and for that they make characters look in certain way which fits the bill. You need independent bodies or conosseiur backed projects to get the best out of these actors
People get type cast in bollywood also because scripts are offered to you based off your past projects. Unlike hollywood where you have to audition for every role even if you are a big celebrity. If you are made to audition or if you yourself choose to audition for roles, there is more opportunity for you to grow as an actor.
No matter how good the chocolate is, you can't have more than 2 bars at a time, same happened with govinda, back to back chapri comedy, instead of serious action or romantic movies.
Govinda had a potential to achieve stardom at par with other superstars like aamir, akshay, srk etc,but sadly,he failed to understand audiences' pulse which changes from time to time, especially since 2000s where cinema shifted from cliche masala to the realism based experimental movies,he continued doing same old cliche comedy movies having two heroines as just eyecandies and all...that's the main reason why he couldn't sustain for long....same can be said for sunny deol too!
He is still a huge star. Far better than all the other actors you mentioned who after 10 years will fade into oblivion. Even rajesh khanna was cringe at the very end. But he will remain a legend. So govinda will be govinda. Whatever he does here on will have no real consequence on his star power and the joy he gave millions and millions of Indians will stay for another 50 years or so.
@@edwardspencer9397 No, he will not be relevant lol. Ask any GenZ if they know Govinda. Most of them wouldn't. He is only remembered by Boomers and Millennials like us. Maybe some of GenX might know him because of his few movies after the 2000s but overall Govinda is a nobody after the Millenial generation who are slowly touching 40-50 years.
@@edwardspencer9397 Govinda basically played himself in most of his movies, his lack of differentiation, lack of experimentation, lack of determination towards acting specially being late on most of the Times lead to his downfall. Amitabh is famous for his professionalism hence he's still relevant.

Apparently a similar thing had happened with Rajesh Khanna.... even after his time as a star on the screen was over and he'd become irrelevant, he continued behaving like a "superstar" in his real life, throwing tantrums, wanting ppl to treat him like a king, fall to his feet and so on......I actually feel sorry for such ppl, delusion is a legit sickness
Yes and when he slapped some guy, no one has the right slap or abuse someone. We have grown up watching Govinda and had so much respect for him, but he destroyed it himself by being rude

In such a competitive market if one refuses to adapt and move on, there is nothing that can save the career of that person. Govinda will forever have a special place in my heart because of the joy and laugh riots he gave me. But letting his ego get the best of the actor just breaks my heart. One can only hope he sees the error in his ways and amend them.
Don't forget that he had reinvented himself with Aankhen. His career was almost dead when he did that movie. He came back strongly with a decade of great movies. I agree with you on the rest.
The problem isnt that simple. People lack content which suit to govinda image of cliche comedy and risque rimance. He was irritatingly repetitive and ppl ran iut of idea that can nake him relevant. Thats why fo mal training fir acting is so imp
I would even include akshaye khanna in this list.. looking back at the films he did in the late 90's and 2000's era there is a complete shift in choosing roles now in his filmography.. and as u said same for Bobby and Abhishek.. sadly Govinda sir is still not able to realise that this is 2020's not 90's the film industry has changed tremendously.. still i wish he could bounce back in his 2nd innings just like other 3 actors mentioned above
*Amitabh Bachchan* Is The Biggest Example How You Can Be Still Relevant After So Many Decades (Once He Was Ruling In 70's,80's) With Changing Ages & Evolving Times He Started Chosing Character Roles For Himself Like *Professor In Mohabbatein , Father In KKKG* Again In *Baghban* Father Figure Roles! Some Unique Choices With Movie *Black (2004)* *Sarkar, Cheeni Kum, Piku (2015)* One Of My Fav.❤️ & *Pink* *🙅No Means No🙅* & Many More! RECENTLY WITH JHUND!
Spot on. But correction:- His career by the time of Aankhen movie had been dying. He reinvented himself and revived his career for 10 more years and ruled with huge success. Give him proper credit. Also who told you Shah Rukh etc are his contemporaries? He worked long back Sanjay Dutt and Sunny Deol are his contemporaries. It's his ego that is getting in his way. The reason of not adopting is not roles but not giving up roles of lead. Something Amithabh did finally and it worked wonders for him. It is also painful to watch a man with sagging eyes and dyed hairs trying to look young and dancing around with 20 year old girls.
Don't worry. He's playing the lead in Avatar 2, replacing Sam Worthington. And he's already started painting his body blue. And gonna paint the whole town red.
His cameos in recent years' films like holiday, happy ending, kill dil shows he still holds that charm, he's a good actor, a complete actor. It's unfortunate that he's not doing/getting good work for whatsoever reasons
This main lead, character roles is such a dumb mindset. All characters are important in a movie. And it must be so liberating as an actor to be able to do all sorts of characters. That's why Rishi Kapoor ji enjoyed his second innings more.
Govinda was the most bankable actor in the 90s. He was going great guns till 2003. But as they say "nothing is permanent". Success had gotten to his head. That majorly became the reason for his downfall . To add to that, he didn't change with time. He put on lots of weight; wasn't fit like his other contemporaries. Trying to foray in politics was another biggest mistake he committed as he eventually lost out on his stardom.
@@faraazkhanofficialchannel3747 I would probably say after Money Hai To Honey Hai, which was a bad choice, he released gatiya movies like Aa Gaya Hero and Rangeela Raja. He should've done like Kill Dil.
Completely agree with the points you raised. I remember he played a forest ranger's role (possibly depicting Hanuman) in Mani Ratnam's Raavan (ft Abhishek, Chiyaan Vikram and Aishwarya). And, I personally feel he did well, not sure why he discontinued doing such roles.
Easy, he wants to compete with the youngsters, who were born or babies when he started off. Govinda at 58 still thinks he's cut out as a hero like 72 year old Rajnikant.
Govinda failed to realise it when it was time for him to change his quo of a rom-com lead. Exactly what would've happened with Amitabh Bachchan in his time but he saved himself eventually.
He actually never let any opportunity to come his way which can revive his cringy image. His films are mostly targeted to semi riral and tier 2 masses but with adveny of multi plexes the dynamics shifted to more urbanised viewership
Evry actor pass through this phase..they dont want to come out of their stardom and just dont realise that choice of audience varies with time..rajesh khanna is biggest example....even amitabh bacchan dharmendra jitendra rishi kapoor everyone wanted to dance with lead female...but somehow very few actors realize that they should change with time and now they are well accepted
Govinda and RGV. Two influential personalities who shaped the two extremes of Hindi cinema in the 90s and both seem high on something we are unable to see today. They simply seem to have lost their craft and the ability to adapt to changing sensibilities.

Jamie-excellent analysis. There were times when we used to bunk classes for his first day, first show movies. He was/is an entertainer through and through. Sadly this very concept made him disassociate himself from experimenting other roles which could have taken him to new heights. But it is what it is. He was good while it lasted.

I would love to see Govinda and Karishma pairing back on screen again. But as a sharp self-aware comedy that parodies and critiques the old David Dhawan comedies. It would have to be done very carefully with good writers and creators. But many of us nineties kids would love to see our favorite pairs back in an evolved form.
My father was his huge fan and so was I. We used to watch one of his movies every night on dvd i was too young, but regardless of my age after the movies started getting repeated i felt like it's more cringe than comedy. I don't have any expectations from him since 2014
I just watched Kill Dill a few days back. I went with very low expectations obviously due to the negative reviews it got and i tried to only look at the good side of the film. Because I really wanted to love this film!! Although the film made me laugh at some parts, as an overall film it was average to below average at best! Although I must say Govinda killed it in the villain role. I am not a 90s kid so maybe Govinda's acting in the 90s may not appeal to me much. But I can understand why this man is considered such a legend! He was amazing as a villain in Kill Dill. I just wish the movie focused on him more. He was enticing and probably the best part about the movie apart from a few comedy exchanges between Ranveer and Ali Zafar which also worked for me! Kill Dill would have been a better film if they focused on his back drop story rather than killing him off so easily towards the end! But yes I understand his appeal and why people love him so much. This man is truly a legend!
Rightly said.... He s a great actor..his comic timing is one of d best ever..he should choose good scripts..even if it's small role..it should b respectable..
Say whatever but I strongly believe the oscar winning parasite is basically every other govinda movie from the '90s. Still remember how govinda used to enter rich businessman kader khan's house as a servant to woo his daughter karishma or raveena😅
Dude it's a good fuckin observation, I also thought the same thing after seeing Parasite. Just change their background music, colour grading, lighten up the tone a little bit, and that's 80's bollywood movie script for you
He was and still is my favourite Hero,I know he has fallen in terms of this career choice but that still won't replace him as My Hero.I wish he realises this and takes good character choices in future projects.
In one movie govinda encourages his father (kader khan ) to beat his mother( who was about to kick out her daughter in law)...no joke..i couldnt believe it..the writers really had it easy in those times..they just wrote the first thing that came up in their mind
One thing you forgot to mention other than the comic roles & dancing is the quirky and wacky dressing he had in many of his movies. Ages before Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar did these things😆😆
He indeed has been one of the greats. I think he still has acting left in him provided he accepts his reality and moves on from being a star to being a character. One of his memorable performances was the movie Shikari. He played the anti hero/ villain and the performance was at par with Shahrukh Khan's Baazigar. Hope he can make a comeback with one such character.
Ironically, it was Sarkar who gave more importance to Govinda with the chants of "Govinda, Govinda. Govinda, Govinda" than Bollywood did in the last two decades.
Whatever the outcome of his career, but the dude certainly left behind an impressive legacy of inimitable comic timing and quick wittedness. You can certainly see glimpses of Govinda in Varun Dhawan's acting today. The inspiration of Dhawan in unmistakable.
Appearance plays a major role in a Stars career. Character artists don't need that as much as main leads. The similarity between Rajesh Khanna and Govinda is their poor focus on their bodies. They had no control on their diets. Also their acting style was quite theatre like ...you can watch Govinda's dramatic performance and it will remind you of somewhat theatrical in which the dialogues are not natural although it has its own charm. Also I personally feel Dileep Kumar had a major influence on Govinda's acting..the method is same however Dileep sahab used it in an understated way and Govinda made it overstated. Also actors who have tried to showcase their acting range have survived long in the industry rather than stars who had limited acting range... Amitabh Bachchan is the biggest example of it...even at his peak no one ever doubted his acting talent which was way above his contemporaries and that strength proved itself in his second coming. Anil Kapoor has great acting range and hence he has survived in the industry doing character roles mostly or part of a multi starrer compared to Sunny Deol who mostly sticks to Action roles thus limiting his career opportunities. Im short Govinda's career downfall is the result of his poor health choices leading to his weight gain...limited acting range and some not so good starry tantrums during his peak. Overall he has a great legacy due to his comedy movies and great dance moves. Wishing him success for future endeavours. Thanks for reading.
No I think Govinda can act both natural and theatre like... And Dileep sahab was not a theatre actor ,he was a natural actor Raj kapoor sahb and Dev anand sahb were theatre actors.... Dileep sahb brought the change those days.. Govinda is a mix of Dileep Kumar, raj kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan ,Mithun Da... He has the potential but he is not doing any challenging roles where he can update himself...
In a nutshell, Govinda proved to be way too massy for an increasingly multiplex-oriented audience whose tastes and sensibilities were undergoing a sea change from the early 2000s. It was ultimately Akki and Salman who replaced him as they were able to merge their mass appeal with the multiplex sensibilities, aided by some astute PR and marketing. The one thing Govinda massively failed at was his PR.
How surprising it is if you observe that every film which has challenged the mainstream cinema and changed the way films were made thereafter has/had Aamir Khan in it! Be it Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Rang De Basanti, and the list goes on... Unknowingly then, that man in some or the way has paved the way to revolutionize Hindi cinema at every juncture.
He is creating a cringe content, instead of that he can wait for a nice script like Kill Dill with extra looks or he can debut on OTT platform cause he is still a SUPERSTAR…
You can not play a lead character or portray as a guy in late 20's or early 30's forever you have to play role according to age as well, what happened to govinda also happened to amithabh Bachchan as well in late 90's but BLACK and KBC saved him and same thing is happening to SRK now.
What Govinda needs is a reality check and some deep introspection. He should quit the bubble of delusion that he is somehow gonna regain his 90s stardom and embrace change in line with the evolving trends. He can begin his second innings on the web platform as most of his contemporaries are now doing. The web platform is beckoning to him. He should keep aside the teensiest bit of ego and find work that utilizes his potential skillfully.
Thanks for this video. It’s so true. I feel Dev Anand had a similar journey where he could not evolve and adapt with the change in the audience taste and also his own age. Would be nice to see your research on Dec Anand’s career journey. Thanks again 🙏
4:30 to 5:30 Right on the money ! We had similar age group heroes leave aside Aamir, Shahrukh & Akshay, like Jackie, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Pancholi and even Chunkey Pandey who seamlessly transitioned into character / supporting roles knowing what audiences prefer beyond 2000s unlike the 90s. Not realizing that times change and one has to constantly adapt instead of basking in past glory acts as a deterrent to what Govinda fans could've witnessed him unleashing the versatile side of him. Also his high-handedness was another reason he was not able to sustain, watched one video of how one of our finest Directors Tighmanshu Dhulia was poorly dealt as a new comer when our hero was at peak ! Rightly said like Bobby Deol, Raveena Tandon, and so many are doing well in OTT platforms, it's equally important to know the limitations while having the confidence on one's abilities. Another favourite star of mines was Sunny Deol who continued to appear as main hero in debacles like Bhaiyyaji Superhit shows desperation of not letting the limelight go or passing on the baton. While we all loved 90s movies from entertainment quotient and larger than life characterization and excellent music and all, Bollywood has evolved to more mature and content driven cinema like Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai & Swades. Akshay Kumar & Sunil Shetty were a great examples of adapting to comedy genre after bombing at action flicks in late 90s. You know as they rightly say survival of the fittest. Govinda fans may not like the harsh reality of life. To sum up, while all your videos are good Jammy Pants, great video this 👌🏻
You Know From Younger Generation Tiger Shroff Will Also Have To Rethink About His Movie Choices & Should Work Upon His Acting Skills Rather Than Sticking Into His Comfort Zone I.E Action Movies Otherwise His Career Will Come To An Halt Just Like Govinda Whose Career Got Finished Becuase Of Comedy Genre That He Is Stuck With For So Many Years
But At Least Varun Dhawan Has Some Acting Potential Which He Has Proven In Movies Like Badlapur & October & As Far As Tiger Is Concerned He Just Want To Be Action Star Like Sylvester Stallone Which Is Not Good Sign For His Career
Yeah This Is What Tiger Just Don't Understand At All His Entire Filmography & His Upcoming Garbage Heropanti 2 Is Filled With Lots Of Overacting & Cringe Content Maybe Bollywood Is Not Cup Of Tea For Him & He Should Have Tried His Luck In Olympic Games Becuase At Least He Would Have Won Gold Medal For Country
I was just randomly thinking about him and his work a few days back 😂 If he finally decides to change his repertoire and return, I think I would like to see him cast as an older non-comedic villain. I think he might do it well🤔
Amazing analysis 👏. I also hope he takes up your suggestion of OTT option as he does have boundless talent when it comes to acting in front of Camera. Pls pls Govinda ji listen to this and make changes so we your Fans could see you in full flow once again.
I really hope Govinda comes back to his senses and accepts that times have changed. I remember Aamir khan once mentioned in an interview how great he thought Govinda is as an actor. I would love to see him back in action in more relevant and contemporary projects.
I hope someone in his inner circle shows him this video. It’s always a shame when talented people let their egos rule their decisions. He is such a talented actor who has so much potential.
It is the choice of an actor what he wants to do. What kind of movies role he wants to do. What kind of music video he wants to make. It's very easy to judge anyone. I don't thinks so there is any actor exept Govinda whose movies one can watch again and again for any number of time without getting bored. When he is on the screen anyone of his fan do not see anyone exept Govinda. Why but this much craze it's because he is amazing no one is like him. We should always thanks Govinda sir and respect him.
For an actor Its difficult to cope up with changing times in Bollywood, unfortunately Govinda is the victim here too. I love Govinda ji. I've grown up watching Govinda's films, in fact I had started knowing Hindi movies through his films only. During my teenage, after returning from school, I would switch on TV and surf through Hindi movie channels to checkout if there are any of his movies running. Every time there was a Govinda's film on telecast I would never miss that. There was no UA-cam or OTT at that time, heck there was hardly any Internet access back then. He was different from others, his style and grace is novel, the reason why i liked him. but Lately he should've updated himself with the modern times to get good film offers. Also Grouping and lobbying equally contributed in his downfall. People who destroyed such a talented actor's career will see hell. ❤❤
While I agree with the gist of the video, I do feel that Govinda tried to do different stuff, but whenever he did, the audience never supported him. Case in point, shikari, brilliant negative role. His voice acting in Delhi safari as bajrangi still makes me laugh. Also, I do think that his ability to light up the screen in an otherwise grim film like Raavan, or a below par film like kill dil, or a sub standard remake of thuppakki in holiday in which he brought the electricity and fun that the film lacked or a film with some exceptional scenes and music which truly came alive whenever he appeared like Happy ending is underrated or dare I say, unseen in this day and age.
One major point missed out in this video is that Govinda created his first crucial roadblock by rejecting the Yash Chopra film "Chandni", the role which was eventually played by Rishi Kapoor and the movie was a runaway Hit... this film would have perhaps raised his status to a fine actor... he missed the bus
Govinda once said he don't like women being objectified in Item songs, he don't like disrespecting women and thats why he rejected so many songs and hence films. Thats the choice he made, maybe he failed to mint money and lost his career but He stood his moral grounds and far far better than Akshay kumar and katrina doing shiela ki jawani.
Govinda collaborated with David Dhawan first in Taaqatwaar(1989), then Swarg(1990). However they got the title of Hit jodi from Aankhen and Raja Babu (both released in 1993) and it continued till Partner(2007). The point you gave is correct , Govinda is a versatile actor, playing comedic tragic, action roles since his debut in the 1980's. HE can definitely get a leading or a parallel role in today's OTT age provided he agrees to it. He never cared if he was no. 1 ( like his peers mainly Anil Kapoor ,then the Khans) and did not care for class appeal(Yashraj ,Subhash Ghai).he was happy giving hit movies with his favorite David Dhawan until they parted ways.
This video of yours i liked the most. Especially the last few lines where you told that Govinda should accept that doing character roles is not beyond his dignity. Govinda should indeed take a long thought about his career and revive his career by taking good OTT projects. Also i liked his character in Kill Dil. Gangster or a police man role in serious character like Raveena tandon's in Aranyak would suit upon Govinda and if that happens, audience (including me) would once again start showering their love on Govinda. ✌🏻
not being sincere, getting involved in politics, star ego and not understanding the audiance demand and not evolving with time were the reasons behind the failure of Govinda... he can be a classic example for many actors who are still feeding their ego
Well articulated, being an honest fan and appreciating the actor for his genuine talent, there was definitely a lag in understanding the market, adapting and versitality, also ageing and not paying enough attention to one's body has been the core area where he should have worked upon, it hurts to see my favourite actor in ruins today and he totally deserve an energy cleansing and a revolution let alone reforms. He is one of a kind and fans will love to see him on screen but he needs to make clear distinction between his ego and self respect. Govinda ji is a legend and legends don't die, they reform !! Same with Shah Rukh Khan today. He is suffering the same fate as Govinda while actors like Aamir are way ahead of him.
Salman khan would disagree. Lol

Bade miyan chhote miyan is an example when Amitabh Bachchan was not getting much work he did that movie with Govinda coz he was so famous that time

Agree.
It seems that SRK is going to do that, he is set to star in a Rajkumar Hirani movie and some movie called Pathan
I think govinda has better range than sunny deol

And Dileep sahab was not a theatre actor ,he was a natural actor

2:25 Vicky Kaushik doing time travel 🤣🤣
कुछ स्टार्स अपने प्राइम टाइम से कभी बाहर आना ही नही चाहते है..न आ पाते है... और इस कारण उनकी दुर्गति हो जाती है...गोविंदा इसका बेस्ट उदाहरण है
Might say he had eye for great script.
Tare zameen par , 3 idiots , bum bum bole , dangal , talash r some of the best movies of Amir
Are you kidding me ? What amir did was been done by actors like nasser saheb irfaan and om puri ji in late 90s and early 2000. He just copied them.
After your conversation with Shwetabh, I really wanted you to make a video on him. Kudos, Jammy!
I still love govinda old movie Sadly he can't upgrade his role like Amir. 😕 Hope he take risks go out of cage .
Thanks for this video. It’s so true. I feel Dev Anand had a similar journey where he could not evolve and adapt with the change in the audience taste and also his own age. Would be nice to see your research on Dec Anand’s career journey. Thanks again 🙏
Dev anand is a legend
Not as bad as Govinda....
At least kept on working and making movies ( shitty movies) even before he died in 2011.
@@raghavchohda7290 died??
@@jaimonjohn2516 yes died long back in 2011..
To sum up, while all your videos are good Jammy Pants, great video this 👌🏻
You Know From Younger Generation Tiger Shroff Will Also Have To Rethink About His Movie Choices & Should Work Upon His Acting Skills Rather Than Sticking Into His Comfort Zone I.E Action Movies Otherwise His Career Will Come To An Halt Just Like Govinda Whose Career Got Finished Becuase Of Comedy Genre That He Is Stuck With For So Many Years
Wait you consider tiger Shroff and Varun Dhawan as actors, they are just meat factory with six pack abs nothing else
But At Least Varun Dhawan Has Some Acting Potential Which He Has Proven In Movies Like Badlapur & October & As Far As Tiger Is Concerned He Just Want To Be Action Star Like Sylvester Stallone Which Is Not Good Sign For His Career
@@shubhamsubhedar8297 even Sylvester experimented with Drama and Comedy to remain relevant 😛
His career shouldn't even have started as an actor, but here we are
I was just randomly thinking about him and his work a few days back 😂
If he finally decides to change his repertoire and return, I think I would like to see him cast as an older non-comedic villain. I think he might do it well🤔
I hope this reaches Govinda and in all the right ways 👍🏼🔥. Very rightly made video. Good job !
Amazing analysis 👏. I also hope he takes up your suggestion of OTT option as he does have boundless talent when it comes to acting in front of Camera. Pls pls Govinda ji listen to this and make changes so we your Fans could see you in full flow once again.
Man i feel so bad for Govinda. A superstar in the past but now he is just a meme. Hope he overcomes this and regains his place in Bollywood
I really hope Govinda comes back to his senses and accepts that times have changed. I remember Aamir khan once mentioned in an interview how great he thought Govinda is as an actor. I would love to see him back in action in more relevant and contemporary projects.
Man your content is pretty good. There wasn't a useless word in the entire video. Concise and succinct.
He should have acted in avatar 😭😭
ani kuch bhi 😂😂😂😂😂
But he didn't want to be painted in blue colour everyday for shooting.
@@meghlazaman5557 Govinda once claimed that he rejected Avatar movie lol.
@@stolenart9290 they don't use body paint they use vfx for that
@@abhisheknandan4332 I don't know man. Govinda himself said that in his interview.
Chandni came in 1989.
Govinda ruled industry in 90's.
No,he didn't miss the bus.
Maybe he carried on with the same bus for too long.
Govinda is good lesson for all upcoming stars .. don't get over the head once see success.. always be humble
What a writing and Delivery brother .. I like your work
Govinda was a star, is a star, will be star.!
What an amazing descriptive narration my friend..Govinda sir should watch it.
4:27 Tere Naam was the only Salman Khan movie from the 2000s that was a Tamil remake.
i think shaadi karke phas gaya yaar was a south remake
My only favourite Actor from childhood, i always danced to his songs on my birthdays till teenage..
Please pass on this message to him, from a dear fan❤️
Love
