I'd like to take this opportunity to thank u Dan for all your hard work raising awareness of ASD. My 21 yr old son has aspergers and was diagnosed at 18. I had never even heard of aspergers before. I watch u to have an understanding into his condition and find it really helpful. Thank u again and congratulations on all your successes Dan!!! Deb from Australia
Well done! I suppose you could call yourself an ambassador for ASD, reaching out to all involved in the spectrum, especially those who live the "lifestyle".
As someone who finds even making a video for the public intimidating I couldn't even imagine doing a speech even half that good, great job keep it up!!!!
amazing, I wish more people understand people with autism and aspergers rather than thinking they are using their diagnosis as an excuse to act a certain way. when it's not an excuse it's the truth, and it's so frustrating when people don't understand the way we(people with autism and aspergers) think. they should have assembles or watch a video at school, about aspergers and autism, and that might help more people get diagnosed, or just give people a better understanding of friends, family or classmates. so everyone gets more support and to be diagnosed at a younger age. which will help people in the future to not stereotype people on the syndrome.
Wow, I truly commend your work! As someone on the spectrum, I'm so glad to have found another person in the community who has been open to sharing their struggles. I've made a few videos where I discussed my story with autism, and I know numerous others who have 'come out' as autistic on UA-cam, and it's truly a shame that videos about Autism don't trend especially with the prevalence of the diagnosis. I'm so happy that you've found success discussing the disability and you got a new subscriber! Wishing you luck as you continue bringing great content!
I found your videos when I was wondering if I could be neurodivergent. Before finding your stuff, just reading the medical terminology, I had doubts. Seeing other aspies in the world is important. I was DX at 29.
Wow! You handled yourself pretty well! I've also done public speaking to raise awareness for the LGBTQ+ community before and I'm thinking of a new project to do at school for the new year: I was thinking about making each month a special month for a different illness or syndrome or just a social problem the society has (like cutting, or suicide. The suicide rate is pretty high here.) and do some activities and make informational presentations about it in classes. And also form an anti-bullying group in my school because verbal bullying is a heck of a thing here. What do you think about it? Any suggestions to improve my project? P.s.: notification squad 😁 love your videos ❤
+loulou4811 Wow that sounds awesome! I would suggest picking s colour to associate with the issue you are addressing that would be cool. Yeah I handled it pretty well, as I have been trained by my university to do public speaking, I see it as a performance.
I'm a girl with aspergers one thing I'm right bad at is memory. Could you please do a video on aspergers and memory? I've watched all your videos and it's so nice to see that I'm not alone and it's helping me to come to terms with the diagnosis. I got diagnosed when I was 14, I'm now 20 and still struggling
yes, (I have aspergers and still currently at school) it can be really hard mostly on communicating with other students and concentrating (so loud in class and break & lunch time). but everyone with aspergers are different, so no one can say that everyone with aspergers find school difficult. But as and student with aspergers, school is difficult, but I can be really fun, and I've made two really close friends, and lessons can be really fun and the teachers are really supportive.
David Delgado headphones aren't noise canceling most of the time i like the aspie world but I personally couldn't watch this video because of the noise in the background

is it true that aspies struggle in school a lot?

How do you listen to this with the noise in the background
Emma Jackson I think that may be the reason the audience had headphones, I've never been so not 100% certain but I think its a fair assumption.

+Emma Jackson The audience have headphones on and I have a head pice on. Sorry about the background noise, the mic picked up more than I realised.
The Aspie World oh, okay thanks for explaining what was going on for me I appreciate it
