I bought more PLTR on Friday at $14.48... why? Because even though it pushes my average buy price up, the situation has changed. Sentiment has changed. Karp has customers knocking his door down and the SP is breaking out. The valuations from earlier this year are out of date and it's on a new phase of growth, so you sometimes have to get in while you can, even if it looks expensive by yesterday's metrics. You won't get it below $10 again and it's just as likely to keep going up from here. Like Telsa in 2019, in 3-5 years you won't really care whether you got it at 7,10,15 or 20. You'll just be happy you bought it back in when it was under-appreciated.

I’m going to keep aggressively DCA as long as it’s below 20.
That’s happened with Tesla when I got it in 2017 onwards
Last year, I read Theil's book, then sold my real estate and bought PLTR in the bear season from $10 to 9, 8, 7, 6, 7, 8. Back to $8, I had 11k shares. I know I'll retire with PLTR. Thank you, my friend

Dope man. I just bought his book. One of my best friends works in government and told me last year that PLTR was the future. I procrastinated at buying but finally stated in January. My average cost basis is $8.2 and I have about 3.3k shares. Definitely feeling thankful. My goal is to get 5k shares.

In January, the stock dipped to around 7.03 to I bought 3 jan 1925 calls at 7. As it went up, I bought shares. I've been buying the last few weeks. Going to buy more and hold my options. Thanks😊
I currently have 2, 561 shares at a cost basis of $7.68, so I'm sitting on quite a nice gain. However, I completely agree with you man - the market is pricing in the last few earnings like it's a done deal. I see major progress from a mediocre state to a better one, but Palantir still has a LOT of work to do. This is isn't completely "in the bag", yet. Nonetheless I'm not taking profit, I'm in this stock for more than just a doubling of my money. Thanks for your balanced realism.

It was glorious seeing the Panasonic guy showcase Palantir at the AIP event - carefully saying "EV" not Tesla for some reason, he made a mistake about the battery use, but other than that very interesting and good to see the slides with Tesla Nevada in them. :)
Panasonic supplies cylindrical cells to many EV manufacturers including Lucid.

Tom: in addition to a DCA strategy, why not sell some OTM puts? You could even use the premium to buy PLTR now, thereby reducing your entry cost. Last week, I was able to sell some Nov 23 $11 puts for $1, making my net cost if I get assigned $10. I’m happy to pay $10 for PLTR. My cost basis on the shares I have is $11. The only argument against this approach is that PLTR probably won’t drop below $11, so you won’t get assigned any shares. So that’s why you’ve got to use the premium to buy shares now and the cash ready at the expiration date if you get assigned.

I have a question, does your subscription show us how to use the balance sheet, to evaluate a company?
Would it make sense to also buy long term calls?
To me, Palantir at $7 before it proved it's ability to make a profit was more risky than Palantir at $14 with proof they can scale and become profitable. Hopefully, it will correct soon so that I can add more. But there are really no guarantees that it will drop. It might remain elevated until the valuation has caught up to the stock price. So, I wouldn't wait to begin dollar cost averaging into it.

Great analysis ,Tom😊. However at the end of the day it's a dynamic company that will make many millionaires. As just an example, If someone were to lump sum invest $500k right now at $14.52 into the company they're basically guaranteed to become a millionaire sooner than later since the stock is forecasted to hit $28 before the end of the year. Sure it will go up and down on the way, but it'll get there. Can we really say PLTR never touches $28 or higher by early 2024 ?

My main discomfort with PLTR is not having first hand experience using their products, unlike MSFT or TSLA. So how do we know it's as good as what is claimed to be?
Because they’re clients are the DOD and many major companies that use their product?
It's the same as Tesla in the early days. Teslas were insanely expensive before the model 3's came out, so no one really knew what they were like.
You will have on hand experience on PLTR only if you work for average to big company it's not software which will be on your home desktop or laptop computer. As data increases you need some kind of software to predict, analyze, organize and make decisions. Plus they just presented they own AI, like it was said it's not ChatGPT who writes poetry ;). My thoughts on cloud: if I will be the owner of big company I will never put companies data on cloud ;) Like I wrote somewhere before PLTR it's going to be like Microsoft operating system just for big to average size companies. We will see if it's going to happen.
Also , we all have had firsthand experience with many things we trusted and liked, which didn’t become Microsoft and faded away, I trust them due to the experience of the experts, the companies who are using them continue to use them and more are added, companies who pay people to know more than me and who use the service and have experience . That’s why I buy even though I myself am only a beneficiary of their product due to the government using them to keep us all protected.

Hello Tom! I’m Ukranian from Ukraine, and I have an insider (it’s a friend of my friend of my friend who works in Ukranian government ) who told me that he knows this company, and they are helping with logistics (supply armor, and weapons) in a right way, to Ukraine.
I think that’s one of the reasons that Russians have no clue where we hide our weapons, and how to target them.
And it’s proofs that Palantir is a good company to invest in.

The problem with Palantir for me is the opaque nature of the products. I can't get behind a business that sells secret, mystery products that magically predict the future for three letter agencies. At least, that's my perception of their business. Change my mind. Having worked for AI companies or tech companies that claimed magic results, I can only imagine how bad their code is, how hard it is to scale and maintain and modify for new markets. I need to understand what they do and how they do it more efficiently than others before I get in big. I have a small position, but it won't get much bigger unless I see some transparency in the "how" and "what" category. Too opaque.
