I actually had a 20 dollar avg in PLTR and brought it down to 10 dollars when it was dipping. I have not stopped buying of course but I did drop a chunk of change between 6 and 10 dollars. Generally speaking though I'm the guy that keeps buying 100 dollars no matter what. PLTR was a special occasion. In 24 years I will be 63 years young, who knows where PLTR will be by then.
With NVDA at a 1$ trillion market cap, I am going to assume there is going to be cooling period for all stocks that got catagerised in the same area. I would like to see PLTR at $10 just to be optimistic for the discount.
Does anybody look at balance sheet and cash flow history? Do investors even know what PLTR did in the past, does now and will do in the projected future? Calculate intrinsic and discount values? To DCA on solid companies, works... me? I keep cash and buy (sell cash covered call options) when there's blood in the streets. That doesn't happen often so in between bloodbaths... I mostly sell options. Good vid Tom... give us some more...
I thought I was smart doing covered calls. But this won't stop rising! Going to lose it all :(. But once it eventually drops I'll buy it again and even more!
Are there studies where the investor acts like the high confident investor in your video, but where there's a point of reduction on investment amount when the stock goes bounces up excessively? It would have to be relative to the previous month only, so the stock goes up 30% plus in one month so you invest maybe 75% to 50% of your normal monthly amount (and save the remainder for a red month), and if the stock stays around those levels for the next month you go back to normal amounts.
Okay but the dude who doubles down on dips invests far more capital then the other two. I think a fair comparison would be between three investing strategies where the amount of invested is identical. Now you're just modelling "if you invest more in a growing company, you get higher returns".
Up to now the snp has steadily gone up. Of course if you invested on the dips you made money. But it doesn't mean that this will work in the future. Much less with an individual stock. With that said, I'm bullish, I'm just realistic. It could all go to shiiiitttt 😅.
Don't open your trading app if you aren't taking action. Seeing red days only hurts you if you know you're in it for the long haul. I got an alert and sold at +40% to cover cost basis, everything left rides to the moon for free. Put your energy and attention toward other things, don't consume like a day trader if you aren't day trading.
Aren't all those returns between 1998 and 2022 still below below average even though that is from the s&p. Your portfolio should be doubling every 7 to 8 years.
Yes that assumes you let the principal grow at the Average rate of return it will double in 7-8 years supposedly. Given you dollar costing you’re building out your positions over time so you won’t see similar compounding effects as the dollar values aren’t as high. For example, year 1 I invest 10,000 k and let it compound for 10 years. If I invest $100 it will take me 8 years to reach my $10k investment goals thus my growth is not as strong as I’m not compounding on principal from day 1
Golden information: fairly new to investing but you have already changed the way I invest. I did always practice reinvesting during red days now your information today has confirmed to me that I'm on the right track. I hope to join your team soon. Thank you, for your time. 🥷

There is nothing crazy about the market returning Palantir to the low twenties where it had found its base previously
Over time yes, but like this? It’s problematic
Based on what exactly? Revenue? EPS? Ai hype? Let me know what valuation you have and why.
Instructions unclear, I put my entire life savings plus leverage into Palantir
bwahhh ha ha tool
t.n thanks. always good advice and info. but im here for the jokes and grandpa story ahahhahahah thanks
Lol
I buy 125$ per month regardless of price
I bought a small amount palantir for the first time yesterday. I'm planning to buy more every month on dip days

I just got into investing, ill be buying £250 per month palantir for a few years and £200 into s&p500, i'm 32, lets see what happens
I thought I was smart doing covered calls. But this won't stop rising! Going to lose it all :(. But once it eventually drops I'll buy it again and even more!
👍😂
picking too close to the money then
If you don't want to get assigned, go way out of the money for less risk.
Losing it at 16 isn't looking so bad now!!! Now to write puts!!!
Tom , you really should do some checking on Plug Power :) just a tip
Love the Samsung Flip and thesis too 😁
That’s right 👍
How would you only make 123%, 195% or 225% in 24 years? That’s a really bad return for the S&P 500
Good luck bulls but I think this went up way too fast. Also long term holder but…at this pace it seems too fast.
Looking good Tom! Don’t think we don’t notice the progress
what is the name of this digital screen and its price?
Here it is: amzn.to/3r64MCk

Tom!!!! Farade future EV cars partnered with Palantir. Their car is running AI and got a feeling this is Palantirs program

If look at returns as percentages It doesn’t matter how much money each person invested as a total.
Is ai C3 overhyped compared to pltr ? .. pltr should be 25/27$ compared i think
But Tom, those factors in a market are perpetual and everlasting...
you're not accounting for companies that go bust. in that case, the perma-pumper will have the biggest loss
Been added to portfolio steadily during the lows with limit oders at a price i determne.
It's called....put your money in and check back next year.
Great video. Fan of Palantir
My pleasure. You should join our discord group we talk about PLTR there daily (it’s free to join) discord.gg/tom-nash-tm-760746350530396180
Another Tom Tom stunner
👍
I think I've broken some of the disciplines even though I vowed to follow my rules during darkdays of recession fears.
You're the Nikola Jokic of personal finance.
Tom: “Bringing a knife to a machine gun fight, you’re going to get hammered”
Me: “how will I get hammered when there is no hammer in the fight?!🤔”
Lol
Dude, Russians embrace suffering
WHAT WHITE BOARD SCREEN IS THAT
I dont care what anyone says but picking stocks is like playing poker. And poker is considered.gambling no matter how calculated.
Just buy sp500 and relax that’s a winning strategy I can’t argue against man. ❤️🙏
Suddenly no more stock market news and only palantir??
This is assuming the business does what it's expected to do. If it doesn't work, then how?
In the words of Jim Cramer .... "Sell! Sell! Sell!"
As I said, if you pick a trash company this system is pointless
White board vids?! Ok ok let's go! Tom's a legit guy, thank you for quality customer service. 🙏

It's a 9 dollar fair value.... but i aint waiting for it to get there.
The Pug abides. Tom is a good dude.
❤️
God Bless us all and may PLTR continue to rise, as we all rise. Stay safe and healthy. May you all stay forever young. PLTR FOREVER.
i want data for fourth kind of guy who only buys on red days mostly and not on the green days :D
Well, after investing for years, the company could make wrong business plans and start losing value for the future years so you could end up losing.
yup ....and there's also risk in crossing the street....but you can lower that risk by always keeping an eye open on conditions !
True
Pltr buy and forget long term company
Don’t buy nothing, don’t like nothing just sit back… Oh the good old days 😂 😉
You prefer the channel will stop? It needs to be a business to survive. Think about it 😉
I don’t care how they put it really bad shape as economy as a whole and I don’t plan to do nothing stupid I just laid there, right
