Good points about garage locations. Locate in big (port) city like London, or a key hub like Zurich, which is a vital North-South and East-West hub as it’s almost dead center of Europe.
Yes, I've heard that the number of industries in the city of the garage is the most important thing, but I wonder about the location of the city now too. That's a good point. :)
The underground secret highway beneath Iceland is indeed in ProMods - that’s the crazy/hilarious hidden road that I referred to in an earlier comment. Can’t wait for you to find it! 😁
Hello from Glasgow, Scotland by the way! Lovely to see you drive so close to my home in ETS2 🥳 I love driving around Scotland in ProMods, they did a wonderful job with it, especially the islands on the west coast
Oh, that's good to know about the underground highway. That's nuts! I can't wait to find it and drive it. :) And hello to Glasgow! We're right in your backyard! :)
Love the fact you were talking about the crazy AI drivers, and as soon as you finish you get cut off in the roundabout by someone who looked like they just robbed a bank. That car thought they were in the Transporter series. I would head over to Scandinavia and then work southward.
Haha, I know, right? The ones that cut in front of you and then almost stop are the worst. Totally kills your momentum. Now that our truck has a bit more horsepower, perhaps it will be a bit less dire. :)
Hi Mike just a comment truck's stay in the left hand lane in the UK, unless overtaking, and are not allowed in the third lane unless in emergency situations such as accidents on the other lanes.
Thanks! A few people have reminded me of that, and it was something I wondered in the beginning. I think sometimes I just get a bit lazy in the game, and figure that I can sit out in the right lane as long as cars aren't piling up behind me. :)
We get loads of motorist causing hold ups by sitting in an outer lane and not letting faster vehicles by. We are not allowed to undertake in the UK. Great series, really enjoying the video, like your sense of humour and attitude its really easy to watch.
Yeah, that drives me nuts here too. We get cars going slowly in the passing lane as well. I might drive in that lane some, but I always let faster traffic pass. :)
I recently found your channel and really have been enjoying the gameplay of you driving and just talking. One thing I noticed that has just stuck with me while I was watching some of your older vids on this channel is that you thought the roads in ETS were narrow. I am from Sweden and personally I think the roads in ETS are too wide, especially the ones in Sweden. :) On another note though I would love for you to drive to Scandinavia!
I'm glad you're enjoying the content. :) Wow, the roads in real life are narrower?! In particular, I found the on- and off-ramps on highways really narrow in Sweden. I kept hitting guardrails when navigating them in the beginning. And I definitely want to get to Scandinavia in this career, just not quite sure if it makes sense to go to the Middle East first. :)
Lively episode through a lovely part of Wales. Perhaps onto Scandinavia, through Poland and the old eastern bloc into turkey which should open the door to the middle east, unless my geography is way off.
My only concern with going directly to Scandinavian is that Iceland has a similarities of climate. Might be fun to drive around in the heat for a bit first. :)
Cutting off a truck in a small car is a problem since the truck may not be able to slow enough! (Don't think I've ever thought about the truck not being able to speed up again; I just know not to put myself in danger. ;-p) You were down to 23K and then got up to 29K...OH! You finally saw it but I guess you never saw which driver (or both?) earned that for ya. Then the boss blows 10% of it, again, on a speeding fine. ;-) Then near the end, Chris got a job done and LEVELED up! So do they get skills every level or they have to maybe get a few before they can learn something new?
Yes, it's easy for me to miss when money comes in. I think I spot it about half the time. :) Yep, the AI drivers get skills every level up just like us, which helps them drive farther and get more and more profitable jobs. I'll have to show how they are developing in an upcoming episode, but so far they seem to be doing very well. :)
After Iceland, I think going to Scandinavia then going southwards to the Middle East would be ideal... but it all depends if there are loads from Iceland to Scandinavia. Its your call of course.
Part of my thinking is that Iceland and Scandinavia might be a bit similar scenery wise, and if we go to the Middle East we can go Cold to Hot to Cold again. :)
You can compare the promods map to the original UKTS map from 2010 just how much is changed. That game started my trucking career😀. Also a little (much) about the ADR that you probably don't know as it is not included in the game. IRL you can carry multiple different ADR cargo in same space at the same time. Only like with explosives (class 1) you have consider if you can but different "sub classes" (1.1-1.6) in same space. For example you don't want detonators and mass explosives in same space as it could result a big boom💥 Sometimes you don't need the ADR-license to carry ADR stuff. For example the cigarettes (1.4S) are classified so low with danger even when they are classified as explosives that you don't need the ADR-license for them. Also to decide if you need the ADR-lisence or not we have this limit, the numerical value of 1000. Works atleast in the metric system. If the value goes above this you will need the license AND fix you orange plates. The orange plates are indicator that you have a lot of hazardous cargo onboard and is both the front- and backside of transport. The Orange plates and the ADR-license always goes hand in hand. Every hazardous material is given the UN number and with that the limit how much you can carry without the ADR-license and the multiplier based on transport category to calculate the numerical value if several different hazardous on board. Trasport categories: 0 = always need you license, no matter the what. 1= limit 20 KG/L, multiplier 50 2= limit 333 KG/L, multiplier 3 3= limit 1000 KG/L, multiplier 1 4= no limits as very small danger. For example if in transport: 300 kg of UN 1950 (Aerosol flammable gas 2.1) limit 333 KG/L, multiplier 3 300 kg of UN 3175 (Solid or mixture of solid material included flammable liquid (for example old paint cans) flammable solid 4.1) limit 333 KG/L, multiplier 3 Because several different onboard we will use the multiplier to get the total value: (300×3) + (300×3) 900+900 =1800 As 1800 is above 1000 the driver needs the ADR-license and fix the orange plates. The best part of all of this is that you don't need to remember all of this without checking. I use the same book from 2016 what i got from logistics school. I'll put the link for ADR-tool that is also very helpful. Next time you carry hazardous in game you can check there. adr-tool.com/
That's very cool to know, thanks for sharing the information. Very interesting stuff! I imagine the game either doesn't model that or just assumes it's happening in the background. So, do truckers share stories about the highest ADR rating loads they have ever driven? What's yours? :) Thanks again, I really enjoyed reading this. :)
@@ZillaBlitzPC i don't have come a cross with sharing the ADR ratings. I usually stop counting after 1000. About a month ago i carried about 24 000 kg of sulphuric acid and as the multiplier being 3 the rating being near 72 000.
The AI is like real drivers in the real world, if you look around the cars might have gotten smarter with all that technology, but can’t say the same thing about the person behind the wheel, I think Connecticut had like 20 wrong way deadly accidents so far this year. People getting onto the highway in the wrong direction. Which most were under the influence of some kind of substance.
