aww thank you. I have a Europe trip planned this year and hopefully I will get some good footage there. Just need to practice before the trip to avoid any hassle.
Great video 👍 I’m so glad you got the replacement quickly and you’re getting the hang of it. If I can make a suggestion.. when you take off it’s better to go straight up, but let it hover 15-20 feet up & wait a few seconds before flying away. This gives the drone chance to take note of where it took off from. Also, it’s better to take off from something that stands out from the surrounding area. A large flat rock for example.. or a bench. Even your drone case if you’ve got one. You need something to contrast, so that the drone can easily spot it if you click “return to home” A landing pad is even better, as they are brightly coloured and easy to spot. You’ll be amazed at just how accurate the Mini 4 Pro will be at landing. It’ll often land within a couple of inches from where it took off from.. and facing the same direction! Have you tried the underside light yet? You can customise one of the buttons on the controller, so you can switch the light on / off whenever you want. It’s so cool! (and bright too.. makes the drone easier to see, especially in low light) Take care Steve
LOL? 🤔 Not sure if you have a mini 4 pro, but this is correct. It has precision landing and will return to the home point within 2-3 inches if you let tf hover for a few seconds after take off, especially if the take off point stands out from the surrounding terrain. The same applies with the mini 3 pro, although it doesn’t have the precision and will often be several inches out on landing 👍 @@LouisPFloyd
A good exercise for beginner pilots is to put the drone at safe altitude and allow them to fly it using on the horizontal axis on the left stick and the vertical on the right. After they get comfortable with that move up to using the horizontal axis on the left stick.
On board and looking forward to sharing the journey. I have less than 2 hours on my Mini 4 Pro. 15 minutes flying around every room in my house today!. Watch the skies. Keep lookin'. Tell this to everyone, wherever they are!
Nice Second flight. Great place to fly drones. Ok … you are ready to join us at the 4th Annual South Florida Drone Meetup in Jensen Beach, FL on April 6, 2024. I’m subscribed to your channel now.
My best advice I can give you is to do worry about getting the shots. Just practice with the stick's. Make sure you know exactly what stick do what, then practice with the drone facing you. Once you get the hang of it, then do what you gotta do. Good luck, and blue skies. 👍👍👍
Hi Komal, I do fly same drone model in very similar conditions here in Finland (I just did start flying it). I think it has been working very well so far. I don't fly with it if temperature outside is below minus 10 decrees. When there is minus 10 decrees outside, batteries do go down very fast. Before my first fly I did see videos made by Air Photography in You Tube. I think sean from Air Photography does have best videos about how to fly drone, have you seen them? I also do have You Tube channel, if you are interested, there are few drone videos already and mooooore is coming when spring is here :).
Yes, flying drone will be so much easier for us both when spring comes again. I think spring is best season. By the way, you have new follower, me :). @@DiaryDeKomal

Hey from Sweden! I feel your beginners pain in. this one :-) Don't sweat it. You'll get the feel of it in no time. All I could afford was a 7 year old Dji Spark when I first started droning. It was a good thing though. I can't tell you how many times I crashed it in the beginning. It's still alive and flying though. Have fun with it guys.
Hi guys. I watched your last vid, and can see where you’re going.. this will be quick and dirty, and this is what I recommend to all new comers, for what it’s worth. 1/ learn to fly ‘line of sight’ first, when you can fly a ‘nose in figure of 8’ you can progress ;) 2/ if you’re ’lost’ in the sky, you didn’t do your due diligence or ‘flight plan’ go back to square 1 (google earth is your friend, it’ll assist in navigation in a new area) 3/ you’re aiming to be able to ‘think’ your way through the environment, both safely and with grace. The images are a reward for getting steps 1 and 2 right.. Oh and then there’s your regulations for commercial work… #FunTimes (I’m 10 years licensed, ask how I know 😂) Remember the 5 P’s: prior preparation prevents piss poor performance
Ayy! PRE-FLIGHT: 1) Flight regulations/restriction check, (insert app name here). I personally like to view Topographical maps of my launch/perimeter zone, I'm weird. 2) Get there early... Breathe it all in. Observe your surroundings, obstacles, and dangers as far as you can see in all directions, and listen to hear any other drones in the area. Plus, that's why we are here right? To share the beauty in our lives, so peep it. 3) I inspect my drone: top to bottom, and front to back as soon as I set my spot to launch. -All propellers are secured properly and without damage from the motor to the tip. -All sensors are clear/free of debris and damage. -Battery pack and SD slot door secured. -I temporarily remove the gimble/camera cover to ensure nothing has lodged itself in there somehow. I then replace the cover and remove it just before powering up the drone (for protection of the gimble/camera). 4) Inspect my surroundings again to ensure free of: People, horses, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, squirrels, mice, Frogs...LOL. Seriously though: People, animals, birds (especially predator birds). 5) Remove the gimble cover, place the drone to launch, power on the control, and then power up the drone (that's preference). 6) I launch to an altitude of 10 ft. +/- and literally just let it hover briefly as I observe its behavior and do a quick control check. up, down, left, right, forward, backward, 360...gimble control. ** Caveat emptor- just because the obstacle avoidance warning ring is displayed in the controller do NOT be fooled into believing it is ON! Check...and then check again if you're not sure. Take it from a dummy.☺ 7) Peace! Wanted to mention also, if you didn't notice there is an option to switch your controls around (presets and custom). Being a hardcore gamer familiar w/ FPS, flight simulators, etc, had an easier time set up as I do gamming w/ the exception of inverted up/down. Go to a big @$$ spot free n clear and let 'er rip! Play around, but be sure to understand your setup for YOU. No right or wrong. ** Put in Cine mode (slower) for starters to get familiar w/the new setup.
I dont think you have your RTH set as it immediately started to descend. The best thing to do is look around for the highest thing (tree/flag pole), then set your RTH 50 ft higher. For me, buy the mini 2 to learn then spend on the Pro if you think your going to get enough kicks out of it. To be honest, if you're just hanging around some tiny NB town, you might get very bored very quickly. I actually got a crazy good deal on the 3Pro that I strait away and got the Goggles and Motion 2 as well. I was going to sell the dji RC, but sadly the goggles dont allow options with the camera like zoom etc. The goggles have the head tracking which is pretty wild. Using the motion controller is INSANE. I have zero desire to use the RC sticks or N1 with phone anymore. Im literally terrified to land in sketchy places with the RC/N1(phone), but with the motion controller I come zipping in and slapping the drone down like an absolute pro. Caution. Do not use the head tracking during landing. (go watch a head tracking youtube vid). Theres a bit of a learning curve setting up the functions with the goggles, but the one thing you have to have to make sure you know....IS HOW TO TURN OFF THE HEAD TRACKING so you can land. Aka, the head tracking does not face the same direction of the motion controller. Plus, after you learn the head tracking, you will really want to go into setting and set your "gain". Thats where you set how fast your drone reacts to your RC inputs. Seriously, the first time I tried to land the battery was low and the drone was moving so slow I thought it was stuck in a hover. I have hundreds of hours on the mini/mini 2, and those settings are pretty fast when you get the drone airborne for the first time. You can set gain on the Mini's, but the Pro 3 and 4 series IS VERY VERY SLOW. So for landing you best for your first time set it in sport mode with the knowledge theres no obstacle avoidance in sport. If you do get the goggles (Integra motion 2), You will within minutes be flying just above the trees, zipping in an out of tiny spaces that you'd never risk using the RC sticks. Happy flying. I bought the 3 pro with no refresh and still fly like I stole it.
I have so many plans in future. fly in India, Europe, Toronto, Halifax. Stay tuned for some amazing footage in 2024. But we should practice first in small towns to stay out of trouble in Europe hahahaah
RTH on the Mini 4 Pro has an intelligent mode (think it’s set to that by default) basically it watches for objects (trees etc) and will climb when needed, but otherwise goes much lower, so to use less battery power etc. You can still set the usually minimum height, but it works so much better than on the mini 3 etc 👍
Nice Video. I would strongly suggest you invest the $10 - $15 dollars to get a landing pad. Itn is a great investment and protects the drone on takeoff and landing. It will keep the drone from throwing dust / grass / ect up and then down into the motors and gimbal. There is only one real teacher for drone flying and that is stick-time. Get up and fly as much as possible. The Mini drones are not as good in the wind as a Air or Mavic drone but if you pay attention you will see that they can fly in some pretty strong winds (More than what the manufacturer says). I have been flying since 2017 and currently have 4 drones (Phantom, Air 2S and Mini for outdoors and a Tello for indoor flights). Keep flying and keep having fun.
You got this!!! and you already learned one of the most important steps for getting great shots...and that is hitting the record button before flying...lol...i forgot that soooo many times when i was starting out....thanks for the fun...make sure to update firmware on a new drone also...may God bless your path i pray...
great job this time guys! I am waiting to get my mini 4 pro back after a careless crash. DJI have been great and have sent it back to me expedited should get it today or tommorrow! :)
i wish i got this one first. i got the mini 2 se and this thing is so fun. i crashed first day of having it because i flew at night and lost site of it and crashed into a tree at 20 feet. only 2 props damaged luckily. im at about 50 mild of flying and 82 flights in last 3months. ive gotten to 1600ft up and that was insane. nice views of Canada. im in the north east usa.
P.S....your drone should tell you if it is too windy... and never fly close to any object in wind as drones drift a lot and you cannot tell due to gimbal and stabilization software....
Having an experienced pilot on hand is going to save you lots of money. Also, trust the tech. The drone is designed to safely land itself if the settings are right.
