I sorta wish he was more beginner friendly like in 11 and x. His combo game is still nuts but I’m finding it harder to juggle and also no projectiles RIP.

Jean Cage Van Damme is my main. He’s a very well balanced fighter. Clearing gaps with a shadow kick or dodging combos with shadow dash are big for me too. And his character in story has some of the best moments.
Side tip, since everyone is getting wise to the full charge fatal blow being unblockable. You can cancel out of the dance animation by doing the shadow step/ dash move

What’s the show off move for? That move makes me lose the match every time. I’ll try do a shadow kick and Johnny does that stupid show off move and gives the other player the opportunity to do a full combo and take 90% of my health

I can do pretty sick combos with him but I can’t go against people while I’m using him and do good at all. Idk what’s wrong with me. Was a sub zero main before I tried him. It feels so foreign
Idk how accurate this is, but I noticed I was getting it more consistent when I slightly delayed the stance input. Closest I can describe to the timing is with how you can get away with doing enhance moves by pressing block slightly earlier when inputting. For hype, its instead inputting stance slightly after. Glasses toss timing is close to around when cage starts to take off glasses. Nut punch timing is around as soon as the animation starts to drop. My window timing is long btw. Hope this helps.
He's so dumb and annoying... and on top of that, he's top tier. ... I love it. I've been chaining 212 and ff 212 ff 212 and it's amazing for carrying to the corner. Always mained Cage and Scorpion in this game, and I'm just happy as a clam because DANG he's good!
Cage is probs the most fun char in the game but it's a shame that he needs to do an 11 hit combo for 25% and meanwhile chars like Liu Kang can do far more damage with far less hits
Most op character had to come here to use him. Been using lui kang but now that I’m at too tears on kombat league EVERYONE is using JK. Broken. And smoke.

I think Johnny has the best dashing. His dash cancel looks smooth and then on top of that you have the shadow dash

I used stick for years but know of many
People who used d pad. It’s honestly just personal preference and what feels better

The show off move builds the hype meter: once the hype meter is full you get access to hype abilities
I have to figure it out the combos in PS5 language circle, cross, triangle, square, L1…

How do you do his throw counter, when someone grabs you he can parry with a bar but it doesn’t show me how to do it
