Well liu kang probably heard of how they helped lock up shinnok the first time after being time-ported to the mk11 setting. Prior to that, Mk9's johnny was still kinda cocky. This one's a bit more serious.
Kenshi and Johnny's relational dynamic is probably the best part about this game (story mode) for me. It just works, these two. They are like brothers, yin and yang, with Johnny the hyper all over the place comic relief, and Kenshi the silent, chill, brooding guy on an honorable mission. Tanya and Rain never trusted Earthrealmers, and while working with and trusting Shang Tsung, ofcourse all they hear is how Earthrealm is trying to defile and take over Outworld
I've seen a theory that Johnny uses his films to reference what he's seeing so he can subtly tell Kenshi what's around them without making Kenshi feel bad. Helps as well that Kenshi has seen Wicked Planet and knew exactly what Johnny was talking about in the Living Forest. Which is rather sweet, if you ask me.
I like this more friendly side to Johnny. He isn’t just a cocky showoff spewing out one-liners, he has a bit more to him. Given how him and Kenshi (for a while) are the only straight people in the group, it makes sense they form a bond. It’s honestly one of my favorite parts of the new story.
I like the idea of Johnny, Syoth, Ashrah, Smoke, Kung Lou, and Kenshi hanging out at Johnnys house drinking beers, eating pizza, watching Predator, Back to the Future, and It’s a Wonderful Life together.
Kenshi and Johnny Cage being bros tracks from their MKX interactions and to see their growth over the story was pretty cool. So far I’m kinda digging the direction of the story but that ending did kinda feel all over the place.

@@wassupdj191But the true question you must ask yourself is…can I afford to be without it 🐍 💰
@@toastx_I knew someone was going to say that.
Tanya and Rain never trusted Earthrealmers, and while working with and trusting Shang Tsung, ofcourse all they hear is how Earthrealm is trying to defile and take over Outworld
@@toastx_ 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This relationship is by far my favourite part of the story mode, and a good start point for both characters.
My God, I love the Bromance they have
the music playin when johnny gave sento to kenshi had me thinking they were gonna kiss fr
Same, and I wish.
Brother 💀
Finally Johnny found the one person in all of MK that has watched and seemingly enjoyed one of his movies
Johnny Cage and kenshi bromance is best scene in story mode
I've seen a theory that Johnny uses his films to reference what he's seeing so he can subtly tell Kenshi what's around them without making Kenshi feel bad. Helps as well that Kenshi has seen Wicked Planet and knew exactly what Johnny was talking about in the Living Forest. Which is rather sweet, if you ask me.
"There's Malibu's finest"
>god walks in
Apparently kung Lao has captain America's ears for salty language lol
"Your wife left" - Kenshi
I love that Johnny's wife had to have seen this tough ass Yakuza at her door and just kept walking. That is how done she was with Johnny
I swear Johnny gets better with every game
Johnny still has that ego but feels more genuine with him getting used to some people then helping them out whenever he can
I like this more friendly side to Johnny. He isn’t just a cocky showoff spewing out one-liners, he has a bit more to him. Given how him and Kenshi (for a while) are the only straight people in the group, it makes sense they form a bond. It’s honestly one of my favorite parts of the new story.
I love how in the character select if you select Kenshi with Johnny’s voice he will refer to him as “Best Friend” 😁
The 2nd time a rich white dude with a heart of gold gives his japanese best bro his iconic red headband
It warms my heart to see how much Johnny has evolved since the beginning
The way he points at Kenshi and goes “why him” looks so much like a child lmao
Reminded me of me and my brother when we argue about nothing 😂😂😂. Johnny is definitely my brother
I like the idea of Johnny, Syoth, Ashrah, Smoke, Kung Lou, and Kenshi hanging out at Johnnys house drinking beers, eating pizza, watching Predator, Back to the Future, and It’s a Wonderful Life together.
Old Johnny Cage is amazing and is strong enough to beat Sindel and Shao Kahn. This new version is pretty cool and well done.
Johnny giving up Sento makes me emotional
Props to Jhonny for squareing up agants a guy whit a katana in hand.
they are very quickly becoming my favourite part of the game, along with Kitana, Mileena and Sindel
Man i not a mortal Kombat fan but this johnny cage make me feel hype up
This is 100% accurate how boys become friends lol
Kenshi and Johnny Cage being bros tracks from their MKX interactions and to see their growth over the story was pretty cool.
So far I’m kinda digging the direction of the story but that ending did kinda feel all over the place.
No it wasn't lol. It wasn't "all over the place" at all, it was an awesome climactic finale to this game.

The issue comes from the stakes escalating at an unnaturally fast pace.
Would love to see them more in future MK story
"I don't think you can handle this much boom"
"You're welcome"
What a fucking character
Johnnt Cage just dropping references to past guest fighters
I like the Ryu/Ken dynamic Cage and Kenshi had
new johnny cage oddly reminds me of a certain ODST named buck... i like this portrayal
And history would call them "best friends"
The entire dynamic between Johnny, Kenshi, Kung Lao, Raiden, Reptile, Baraka and Ashrah was really good. Loved seeing all of them becoming friends.
The bromance is strong in this one.
Waiting for the Johnny and Kenshi side quest of them shooting MK’s version of “The Last Samurai.”
… was anyone else very surprised and impressed by Johnny’s knowledge of Japanese history (the portions spoken of)??
Like… eh idk, maybe he in this timeline he had a movie similar to like Tom Cruise’s The Last Samurai, and like the latter, Johnny really must have researched his role 🤣🤣🤣
Not really. I mean, being an actor involves a lot of research.
These two have such a great bromance
I can't even watch the video seriously without Johnny Cage making me laugh every time he speaks
The graphics are absolutely insane
