I plug it into the charger, it does not charge, it does not rise or fall, but I use the laptop while it is plugged in with 0 charge and when I enter the bios screen, it sees the adapter as unknow. What do you think the problem could be? Can you give me a suggestion?
@alpercan7932 I cannot be sure of course, but if you are able to use the laptop with the charger alone and no battery, this would make me think the battery is the problem. I would start by checking the battery connections and if that is not the problem, I would try changing the battery. That is just my personal opinion though.
I have exactly this notebook. Is it possible to upgrade the battery? I think its capacity is very limited. Are there more powerful batteries compatible with this model?
I do not know if there is a battery upgrade, I wonder if maybe the higher end versions of this laptop have a bigger battery though. I have not seen or heard of one if there is.
If you are talking about the screws under the optical drive, a screw extractor plier may help. You could also try some spiral screw extractors or a torx bit. They may be able to help.
Thanks I'm about to replace the battery on the same laptop, it helped a lot. How's the replacement battery been doing so far?
So far it has held up well, however my mom primarily uses her laptop plugged in.

It looks like even the model with a discrete graphics card has the same battery.
What is the size of the 3 bolts under the cd drive , I want to get screw driver for them
I believe they are either PH0 or PH00. I thought I stated it in the video, but I may have forgotten.
They are PH0, I have just confirmed that.
