A thousand thank you's Karen! your continued support really does mean the world to me!! Thank you :) hope everythings going well stateside, I hope to make it back over again this year!!
I have a long/series video idea. Testing a new niche and taking us along for the ride. Learning a new niche category from the start. Building the knowledge, sourcing the items, and then following it through to see how well it sells/whether the new category is worth it
Also I really miss your financial reviews and how transparent it was. I’d really be curious to see how UA-cam factors into your business finances these days
Hi Matt! Very good video! Fantastic business advice!! I see your over 25k now, congrats! I haven’t gotten a chance to watch you as often as I usually do! I hope your 2024 is full of $$ sales & subscribers! I’ll send out a support thanks shortly! Take care !
I think one of my biggest problems is I don't get excited and list much under $20. I definitely don't list anything under $10. And because of my location I can offer free shipping on anything.
Everyone needs to SUBSCRIBE to this channel! You have so much excellent information. Loved what you said about sell through rate. It's so important and so many people don't do research, they stop after looking at what things are listed for and just assume theirs will sell. I've been on ebay for a really long time, just a part time mini-seller, and I still enjoy watching your show and all the useful tips!
I don't want this to come off the wrong way as I know you're trying to up the content and weekly uploads - but what i loved about your channel was that you weren't another "how to ebay" youtuber. This content is a dime a dozen.
I’ll take that the wrong way. I just ticked over 10,000 sales and made a video documenting present day sales along with lessons I’ve personal learnt along the journey. What part of that isn’t authentically me. You wonder why you bother sometimes…
Dont be an eeyore. It is a dime a dozen content whether or not its personal to you. "how to make listings, how to sell video games, 10 things that sell fast..." its not original and that style of reselling content is very saturated. Every seller I know stateside that follows you loves seeing whats available on the other side of the planet. Its neat to see the price discrepancies and things that wouldn't be worth much here can be serious $$ in AUS.
And my kids like your channel too. Shoot, your youtube channel has sparked a HUGE interest in Australia for my daughter and she is fascinated by the wildlife and has asked several times for me to plan a vacation there. So "Why do you bother?" you make people smile. I wasn't trying to ruin your day. I just get excited when I get notifications from you and its been a let down to see a growing % of content I am not interested in. Thats my opinion. Your channel is growing - you are clearly doing something right.
i appreciate the reply as it gains a lot more perspective on the initial comment. I do this full time and I spend every waking second working out how to grow this thing. Unfortunately January is a month where like most things new years resolutions kick off and it was part of my content strategy to publish a number of 'how to' videos to capture these new audiences. The personal 'australia' isn't going anywhere.. that's always going to be published but if you're not seeing the results you're after, making the same stuff isn't going to solve the problem. I'm just trying things. @@haroldinabinett286
@@TheAussieFlipper Nothing but love to you man. I didn't mean to come off so disrespectful. Your vids are some of my favorite to pop on while listing. I know things change - im just grumbling. Next time you come stateside - come down to Charleston, SC. About an hour and a half from Hairy Tornado in columbia. One of the oldest cities in america. Beautiful history, solid thrifts and a decent flea market.
Initially it was silly hours 60+ because I had no idea what I was doing. I’d say it’s more like 30-40 hours a week now. Much more efficient and manageable once you’re up on running with correct processes
Probably not a great idea to store the busts and action figures near the window. It won’t take long for the boxes to start fading which affects value for collectors - especially if it arrives faded but wasn’t faded in your OG listing
One thing you left out was you should have said that these are the things that work for you and may not be the same for everyone else. For example, you don't have to sell in a niche to make money. It may be your preferred way, but it's not a must. I know many people who sell anything and everything and do just fine. Not only other youtube resellers, but myself included.
I laugh when you talk about deathpile. All I am listing at the moment is what I have around the house and believe me I have a ton of things so I won't buy anything until I get it all listed or sell it in a yard sale unless I decide to do a chaos like you are with a new store
Dude, wondering if you should get curtains in the garage there. The sun is slowly degrading your colours of stuff and plastics and cardboards etc. Also never buy boxes dude. Go for a dumpster dive while out and about and you will find all diff sizes.
How many sales has your eBay store got? Highest Number (with proof) gets a $50 product shipped out to them to resell.
1.5k on one store and 250 on the other
2.3k items sold
37 hehe 😄
Over 6.1k 😄
Try and keep the figurine / statue boxes away from fading in that direct sunlight if you have the space. Thanks for the videos, so helpful :)
very good call i often keep the window shade down! Hopefully they're gone before that becomes a concern!! thanks for watching!
Amen to tracking your numbers, this is a MUST!!! Great video man
Congrats on the 25k subs!!! Well deserved!!!
Thanks!
A thousand thank you's Karen! your continued support really does mean the world to me!! Thank you :) hope everythings going well stateside, I hope to make it back over again this year!!
The worst thing I do is buy crap that doesn't sell lol
You're not alone!
@TheAussieFlipper been selling on ebay since 2001 ;)
Lots of lessons to be learned in your videos. This being another one where I picked up a few things I need to be aware of. Thanks 👏

+1 for this, should get into cameras, you have to test and buy batteries and chargers to get them for a good deal but we’ll worth the profit
Cameras and watches!!
Hey Matt, what month are you tracking on your calendar? ...feb...urary! 😃 Love your content. 👍
Got me

How is it going with the private pick, that was part cash and part consignment 😊
All going well.. Sales have been steady!

Coles is about to do a Pokemon collectables promotion from next week... worth getting into that when it happens.
You know I’m in!
How many hours a day do you work or hours, is it a 40 hour a week job? Of course it would be much more flexible than a 'regular' job.

25k subs lets go!
Hopefully you get to 100k by year end!
Great episode legend

Blinds are down when I’m not filming

That goes without saying. These are 10 lessons I’ve learned through my experience…

I’ve also never bought a box in my life.
I need a Courtney 😔
Opened my shop last week and made $80 😂
Wooo hooo. My first $80 was my most exciting! Keep going!
Cheers mate
So why bother sending tracked for a $16 video game? I'd just use stamps.
Swapped back to having everything tracked
Cleaning out the lower valued stuff
Ebay is definitely a roller coaster 🤦♀
Stay steady through the good and bad!
