We just use the cymbals... Don't know how they are manufactured... It takes a long time give a finishing touch to only one cymbal...However they do in lot... Hats-Off to Sabian Crew... Really Amazing...\m/
Charlie is the root of all Hand Hammered cymbals. To me, his is pretty much the heart of how this company works to make most dark cymbals. Proud to know he's a "Sabianist" haha
I went up there on a tour just earlier this august and got 45% off a B8 pro 16" Crash. My buddy even got one of the cut-outs from an Ozone the lucky bastard.
Thats where they do all the experiments, like the Ozones, The Spirals etc While we were there they had shown us a specail order given from some chinese guy for a triangle (or rectangle) with all of the sides with differnt legnths.
Sabian got the original artisans when they split from dated Zildjian. And man, did it have a ever lasting impact, and edge on the competition. Nothing compares to their HH techniques and sound technology.
@RA710 Sabian claims to use 'traces of silver' in their catalogues...and I think it's the same family formula for B20 the Zildjian uses...I also prefer Sabian but I think all of the major companies make some beautiful cymbals
In my opinion, every cymbal company is good, and if I were good enough, I'd endorse any of them! But to me, Zildjian's only good lines are the A, K, and K Custom lines. Pretty much everything else isn't as good as it used to be. Sabian just has so many different sounds and they're stellar. It's hard to beat. But I've also kept my eye on Meinl. They seem to be chugging along nicely!
@marcbenjamsojayco no kidding, wasnt sabian and zildjian ceo's brothers when sabian got started, it was a family dispute or something, i personally am a zildjian user, not saying they better than the other, its what i like better
Man... SABIAN rules. I love watching how my cymbals are made. More dedication and HANDWORK compared to Zildjian. Yes I know they are both pretty much the same but COME ON! Sabian > Zildjian

Sabian is the best cymbals out there to me. Especially since it's a Canadian based company.

I just bought some sabian cymbals they are sick if you have enough i suggest AAX best sound ever
They hammer them into shape. Except with the sheet cymbals which are just pressed into shape.

with so much automation apart from the HH series it's hard to see why nice cymbals cost so much.... :(
