I have a 2009 Toyota Matrix, is not cooling at all anymore, i went to the shop to service the AC, they show me that the low line get super cold almost to the freezing point but no cold air get inside, the mechanic said that is the expansion valve but i neet to replace the compressor and condenser too. The cost of everything is over 2,000. My plan is to remove the dashboard and replace the expansion valve myself. But my question is if make any sense if the diagnostic is the expansion valve why the compressor and condenser need to be replaced too?.
