I did score NES Freddy on ebay at retail. But, Gamestop was very helpful to me in my hunt for Jason NES. I have heard many horror stories about Gamestop. There is 3 in my general area. The girl from the first store actually called the other stores and there was 1 left, and had them hold it for me. Then I drove 30 mins to grab it. Very cool! The light sensor chimes the game (which I also own with pride). Scumbags on ebay already sellin NES NECA Jason for 50 plus..
I really wish Neca will stop all of this silly exclusive nonsense. The SDCC exclusives, GameStop exclusives, I hate it. I’m going to be sitting by my computer waiting for the SDCC figures to pop up just so I can hope to grab one.
The main difference between Ultimate figures and non-Ultimate figures are the accessories that come with them and poseable/movable legs. Ultimate figures usually come with a bunch of accessories and bendable knees whereas non-Ultimate have non-bending knees. It looks like your NES Freddy is not the Ultimate version. Although, there is an Ultimate version available as a GameStop exclusive alongside NES Jason.
I like how the older Neca Figures have a thicker cardboard box unlike the new ones, that have a thinner one, and also the box in the most recent Neca figures feel fragile
That’s probably got something to do with the fact that this figure is a modified rerelease of a figure from 2011 where he had static legs. The torso sculpt was made with that specific pose in mind, and NECA didn’t bother altering it when they added the leg articulation on the Ultimate release.
Awesome "Freddy Krueger" collection. I have all of those figures but the "Nintendo" version. My favorite is probably the "Freddy" from the first film, so far. But I think part 2 "Freddy" looks the best. And part 3 is awesome too. I know that you can put a light in the back of "Freddy's" head to light the cross up.
I have the first film NECA figure signed by Mr England himself. One of my better days meeting him. Have the second one coming and I’ll have it autographed by Marc Patton. But man, I need that 3rd one. That’s my favorite of the franchise!
I love part 1 & 3 better because I think Freddy looks so much more sinister when he smiles. I wish they'd given him at least one smiling face with part 2 as well.

The First Film Freddy looks the best, But the other 2 Need some work. The figures are so stiff you can't put his Glove up to his face. But overall they're Very cool
Your nes freddy isnt an ultimate figure, its in the box because that's when they first started doing the boxed figures I think. They did do a re release of the nes freddy very recently with the ultimate freddy articulation in the legs. The nes jason is the same also way back when he came out, but they also re released him too with ultimate jason articulation in the legs and he has a way better paint job than the comic con one and the box has music that plays when you open the flap. The electronic that play the music plays when light hits it and sadly some times the electronic thing will be out of place and you have to open him up to fix it and to replace batteries. He also comes along with pamelas head on a pike that the original one doesn't have, so maybe he can be called an ultimate figure since he comes with a few accessories and a really awesome box that plays music which they should do with more figures. FYI both of the re released figures come from gamestop and they are available at retail price still before they get sold out and become double on ebay.
Really loving the review. I haven't gotten to the Dream Warriors segment..but am I the only one that doesn't see Robert Englund in those sculpts? They did a stellar job with part 1, and even better job with part 2..but the part 3 has really large eyes that are too far apart. I just don't see the resemblance at all to Robert..or an actual human under prosthetics lol.
All Krueger's looks nice. I like Freddy with syringe fingers. Demons dogs are creepy and adorable. But ...NES Freddy is best in my opinion. How many Freddy Krueger figures you have in your collection?

I have the Part 3, it's the only NECA figure I own (I never got into figure collecting, but I want to collect Nightmare stuff), but it's fantastic. Only thing is, mine currently has one needle glove and one regular attached due to how damn hard it is to swap the hands. But yeah, I do want to get the rest of the line and some of their other horror Ultimates. The Jasons especially look incredible.
I like the remake & Jackie Earle Haley made a good Freddy, people are in the Robert Englund only Freddy thing, why they didn't like the remake, Robert Englund is Freddy! But Jackie did great!

That NES Freddy is not a ultimate. It would have leg articulation if so. I think that one is rare. Gamestop has NES Freddies and Jasons that I believe are updated versions of the old ones. With leg articulation.
That NES Freddy you have is SUPER rare! It's actually not an Ultimate but the box and art is used for the newer figure of this boy and he is an Ultimate. But you have the OG statue. 🤙🤙
