The anthem for all of us who get up and wonder who that old person in the bathroom mirror is.....
Yep, my little girl just turned 20, that line hits real close to home now.
You said it, brother. My daughter is in her forties and my grandson is 22. I still see the hard as nails young man I was when I look in the mirror, but he gets harder to see every year. This song captures the relentless ravages of time that come for us all. Live each day like it's your last....one day you'll be right.
"20 years, where's they go ? 20 years, I don't know" --
yep, I know that feeling -- time -- its the one thing that if you lose it you can never get it back
For a old Marine like me that was a kid of the 60's and a young man in the 70's, this song resonates as the anthem of what I once was.
Same vintage here. We used to almost dare the universe to do its worst, because we knew we could take it...weather any storm and carry the weight, no matter what. We were invincible to everything....except time. Semper Fi, brother.
Get old like me and you'll understand this song. It brings tears to your eyes and great memories as well when the rock has turned into a pillow.
For sure! This was my life .
I’m glad I’m not the only one who gets tested up when they hear this 👊🙌
47 years past being 18, this song means so much. Makes you look back and reflect on your life. Been a favorite song so for so many stages of my life!
At this point, Bob is still a living legend, A great writer and fantastic performer.
seger was a great story teller, he never fails to deliver
My personal favorite of Bob’s is “Night Moves”. What a story teller!
Way up firm and high
Mine too!! ♥️
The ending of Night Moves gets me everytime thinking back all the mistakes, but what i wouldn't have just changing 1.
David Hunt ain’t it funny how the night moves....with Autumn closing in....
@@davidhunt3689 Woke last night to the sound of thunder... how far off, I sat and wondered
Seger is in my Top 5 alltime favorite rock artist. Everything he does is solid gold! He is Americana! Please do more.
Met Bob in Pittsburgh!!! He was awesome!!! LOVE HIM!!!💖💕💗💔💗
Turn the page is one of Bob Best. Been a fan since the late 70s.
Absolutely. The songwriting was so beautiful and descriptive. Such a great song.
My Husband's favorite, can't listen - God I miss him
Sorry you lost him..🙏♥️
Kass Arthur I’m so sorry 🙏
Kass Arthur ....I feel the hurt. This is such a soul touching song.
I understand. When my husband died a song came out I think was titled "If I could call heaven". I could not listen to it. The words would crack the brave front I put on. He left this world in 1994. I still miss him. Take your time girl. There is no time limit to grief. God bless you.
Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band - - one of the best ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Ty you have a nice voice. Yeah I caught that👍👍😎😎Love Bob Seger❤️❤️Seen him in concert when his single out was NIGHT MOVES. What was cool about watching him sing NIGHT MOVES on stage---all around him the night was moving --- not to mention his wonderful voice🌈⭐️🌈And the commercials was about CHEVY SILVERADO trucks. They used that song in their Chevy Truck commercials, I believe about 10 years👍👍
Bob Seger is a legend, combines so many genres from Rock, country, Blues, even a tad gospel. Just an amazing singer and story teller all the way around. I would definitely listen to against the wind, one of my favorites
Bought my first new Chevy truck a couple of years before this was a commercial for em, was so proud to hear it when it came on. This song sure sold a bunch of pickups for Chevy.
I first remembering that song when it was used in the Chevy truck ads during the March madness commercial breaks during the late 90’s and the early 2000’s
What a stand up guy. Saw him as a teen at Jackson County Fair, Michigan. When he hit it big he insisted on playing previously scheduled gigs no matter how small. It was awesome!
"Like a Rock", and Micheal Bolton's "When I Get Back On My Feet Again", has a deep effect on me personally. I can't think of no other songs that make me stop and look at my life the way these two do.
love all of Bob Seger songs
Song continues to touch the soul..timelessness.
I saw bob in high school in 68 ! He was great then and still is now !
This song was THE Chevy truck for 20 years at least. I think I heard that Bob Seger is a Chevy man. And if that’s true, I can only imagine how proud we was when Chevy asked to use his song & then to use it so many years.
I was sitting listening to you say, “No TV, MRM, & I knew that was NO way at some point you haven’t heard at least the chorus. LOVE me Bob Seger. “Night Moves” is probably my favorite. But, you can’t go wrong with his music. He is a great storyteller.
First heard it on the radio when I was a kid, loved the guitar and piano duets. The lyrics really didn't hit me until I was about 43. Heard it on the radio while driving and it hit me that I had been driving eighteen wheelers for twenty years. Where did the time go? That song is so true.
I remember seeing Gary Carter NY Mets he embraced this Rest In Peace brain tumors are awful! We miss you kid!
Love this he gave this song to Chevy. Because he’s from Detroit. Seger was the best story teller. This is one of my favorites.👍
what is so cool about watching people react to this song is watching them relive their youth ...you can almost see it passing in their eyes and when he gets to the 20 years part its like we ALL feel that deeply (well those of us that have had the twenty years pass)
listen to blame it on midnight shame on the moon by Bob - - another good song !!!!
Fell in love with Bob Seger's music 30 some years ago and he is still on my top 10 of all time! As a matter of fact the first concert I ever attended was Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band in 1987 in Virginia. His signature song is Turn the Page, you should listen to that one. Thanks for the memories Ty!! 🤗💞
Saw him in the early 80's at the Richmond Coliseum. He was sick and had a temperature of 102 but performed one hell of a concert for 3 1/2 hours. He sang "Turn the Page" while sitting on the front of the stage and singing directly to the crowd.... Such a passionate and talented singer/song writer ... The Good Old Days...
The older I get the bigger this song looms....prophetic. I look at that avatar of me to the left and I wonder....where did that young man go? I used to run the mile and two mile on the track team, and ran cross country. Now...that rock has been chiseled away to where I can't walk anymore. Life happens! But, ya know....I'm blessed. God has worked his miracle on me, and that boy is now at peace with a white beard and grey hair. I've been blessed with the letter "c"... the hunk is now a chunk! lol
Any song by Bob is AWESOME
grew up with Bob Seger,,, 1977 was first Seger concert I attended,,,, do more please, and keep up the faith
Have always liked Bob Segers voice and his songs. Enjoyed this one and the lyrics.
Tia Elina need to do a deep dive in to Bob. Best ever on all fronts. ❤️
Bob Seger is the BEST. Please check out his "Against the Wind", but *especially* his "ROLL ME AWAY". Appreciate you, love the music and inspirational channels.
It's doesn't get much better!!
@@itsallgood4093 True, he's great, never disappoints!
MRM actually already did Against the Wind about a year ago. If I recall, he reacted very positively to it. I could listen to this band anytime.
@@donjd5516 Thank you! I had looked for it but didnt see it, so looked again after your comment, and there it was. Yeah, i like all his stuff, hard to chose a favorite. Roll Me Away is one i could listen to over and over, but these are all great. Thanks again!
@@vickielewallen3799 Oh, you're welcome Vickie, glad you found it. There are so many great songs, and it seems like they have something for every mood. I love em all, Mainstreet, Beutiful Loser, Still the Same, Turn the Page, and I like Kathmandu when I feel like rocking out a bit. Against the Wind, and Roll me Away, are both awesome songs.
His debut of this song came out for Chevrolet 1976-1998 and helped sales by 98% also sent this song to #1 across the country on all bill boards
I've been a Segar fan since the the 70's when I was 8n high school.
One of my favorite all time greats! Seger’s in both the RRHOF and the songwriters HOF! One of the greatest artists ever! So many hits! Try “Roll me away”! 🎸
This was every Farmboy's theme song country wide. Everyone who ever hauled hay the old fashioned way (flat bed 1 ton truck, loaded and unloaded by hand). Put up fences with wood posts using posthole diggers (not tractor and awl bit). This song spoke to us on a whole nother lvl. Lol still has meaning to us today even though we might not be so rock hard physically. We're still that tough mentally and Spiritually. There will probably never be another songwriter/performer like Bob Seger
Seger, my fav, thank you. He has many great songs and several epic ones, play more please.
Oh! Yes, I heard Bob Seger on the radio all the time in the 80's.
I love so much Seger stuff but this one has always been my favorite. Exquisite mixing and production values...lyrics right from the heart...just an epic song with 2 !! wicked solos on slide guitar...!!
This is why both men and women love Bob Segar
I'm in!! Love the channel.
Against the wind or Turn the page...
great songs. He will always be my fav!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!
Like one of your other comments that was left loved in the 70s still on my play list all from well I guess it might have late 60s with Bob Seager an the Seager System an the 70s was full of his Greatness
Its a great song that I have memories of prior to it being used for commercial. Its lyrics are solid and profound. Countless men over the mellinia has experienced the subject matter of the story. Start out young and strong..... and one day we start looking back and recalling our youth. It goes fast! Enjoy it while you have it and don't stray from your principles and what you know is right. After all, you too will look back some future day and recall your youth and you have to live with those memories.
YES .. Segar .. great track from his huge catalog. Another good one of his is:
Old Time Rock & Roll
Thnx Ty 😊
My favorite song by him
Love this song
liked and subbed, I just watched a black man make it through a white boy song without interrupting it. #thankyou #respect #salute
My favorite of all time, Thank you Ty!!
I had tickets to see this band in 1978 and Bob Seger had to cancel the show and gave Everyone a full cash refund at the Box Office, never forgot that. Bob is a Good Dude.
Play his " Old Time Rock and Roll" we could not have a dance without a DJ playing it.
This song is from 1985 and the Chevy ads from the late 90's Still a memorable song to say the least!
Check out Bob Seger - Come to Poppa, Night moves....he has many hits!!! Bob Seger is from Detroit, Michigan.
Dude's still touring. Like a rock.
This song always makes me misty.
About 4 twenties and 2 of those twenties are on Barrowd time! Use every day as it's your last one! No time to waste!!
Loved the reaction when it “clicked “
Hey man, you should watch the full video; just for the guitar solo alone. Great video. Love some segar
You made me laugh at myself. LOL I use to think CCR's There's a bad moon on the rise, was "There's a bathroom on the right"
Ha! I thought my husband was the only one who sang it that way! :)
@@vickielewallen3799 ha ha ha ha ha . Good to know I wasn't alone.
It’s hard to listen to this song and not think about you in your prime!
Funny I was going to recommend them, song Turn the Page. They so made my day hearing it today
Night moves
Main street (you’ll hear a guitar actually cry)
Turn the page
You’ll accompany me
Fire lake (featuring the Eagles)
Chevy Trucks - Like a Rock!
It was definitely Chevrolet, this song was all over TV in the 1980s
Bob Seger Shame on the moon.
I went to one of his concerts in the day , he was awesome ! Turn the Page is a good song too.
Trivia - much of the footage used in the Chevy commercial was filmed in Ford county, IL
His Turn the Page is amaxing!
My favorite by Bob Seger is Against the Wind.
Another good Seger song is "Famous Finale scene " it to me the song about life. The beginning, middle an ending
Please review Flowers On The Wall by the Statler Brothers, this was my Moms favorite song. would like to know what you think, ty
I really love this song, but "Turn the Page" has to be one of his best. You should give it a listen!
Ya know why Chevy’s are like a rock? You always see them sitting by the side of the road! Had to be done, lol
That is funny but I love the Ford jokes. Found On Roadside Dead, Fix Or Repair Daily... and of course, First On Race Day.
I used to hear the saying, “I’d rather push a Chevy than drive a Ford.”
That said, I’ve had a Ford F-150 for 13 years and had no major problems.
I crank one most mornings
Actually Stapleton might have a little Seger in his voice.
Ffifty years, where'd they go?
Love this!
MY LIFE STORY INCLUDING THE COREVETT, THE SAME YEAR.
Blame it on midnight and shame on the moon
There's a song "The LORD'S Prayer" by Cheryl Bear that I think you would really appreciate!
Bob Seger - Strut
The song is "Her Strut". The song is about Jane Fonda.
This song sold a lot of cars
Americana at its best
The late Kenny Rogers has a song that could be a companion to this. Twenty Years Ago.
Loved your reaction and love Bob Seger!
I'd like to ask if you would please listen to Nickelback "If Everyone Cared" official video. No one's has done this song and I'd like to know what you think.
Check out Lou Christie: "Lightnin' Strikes"
Please react to "Shame on the Moon" its another fantastic Seger song! :-)
