Do you do power cleans? That's become my favorite move in the last couple of years. I start every workout with a few sets of squat cleans.

I don't :( Olympic weightlifting has been something that I have admired from a distance. My ankle mobility is pretty trash so getting into the super deep squat position of a power clean, clean and jerk or a snatch has been difficult to say the least :P

@@JonJagsNee IMO the thing with oly lifts is that a good set of eyes watching over is much more important than in less dynamic lifts. I think your mobility will be fine though - especially power cleans where you don't even dive deep (vs full cleans). For a few years I was lucky to have a local coach who trained championship level juniors and masters, also train a beginner adult (read 35-55 yo) group. We were all weak and stiff but it was great fun and very good for the body (posture, general performance etc.). It was only once a week so no miracle progress but got a feel to the sport.
TLDR: power clean is really not a full oly lift and the one that is the easiest to teach to oneself. Still ahs the benefit of explosive snappy movement.
      cheers.
