Did you have a favorite of the quits you saw in the video?
Well obviously it was the work of art that you created. 😂. That quilt (overgrown I think you said you called it?) is amazing. Bravo. 🎊
@@Sam_the_quilter aww thanks! But you are not obligated to pick one of mine! 😂
@@ScrapFabricLove I liked that quilt. It’s a crazy idea, but it works so well. And the fact it’s not square or rectangle just adds to its beauty. I’m glad you’ve entered it into another quilt show, it deserves to be shown to the world! 🥰
I saw one when you were showing the stalls that had stars at the bottom with scrappy strips going up from them!
I like the one with the sheep.
Thank you for sharing. So many beautiful quilts, including yours❤️
Thanks!
Thanks, that was wonderful!
Thank you for sharing
KRISTEN!! Girl I am so glad that you entered the “Overgrown whatever you called it. 😂”. I think it is absolutely gorgeous and no I’m not just saying it because it’s yours! I’m hope now that you have entered 2 years in a row this will be a running thing with you. It looks like you had a blast and there was just brain/visual overload with everything going on. There were
a lot of beautiful quilts in the photos you had posted. Thank you for taking us along with you! Much love! X Laura💙🪡🧵
Thank you for this video!
I enjoyed watching the video! Lots of beautiful quilts!
Glad you liked it!
Your video was wonderful. Thank you. I've traveled to Scotland twice and enjoyed both visits. The quilts on display were very well done. Lots of artists reside there to include you.
My favorite quilt is the zebra. The perspective of the zebras quilted into the background is amazing. I think that for a non-juried show, the quality of these quilts is wonderful. Thank you for taking these photos and creating this video.
Yes the zebra one was awesome. Glad you enjoyed the video!
We loved this video so much we watched it twice. I'm so glad that we got to see some traditional quilts. Unfortunately, QuiltCon didn't include that category. It look like you had a great show. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Glad you liked it! I’ve never been but my understanding is that Quiltcon is put on by the modern quilt guild which perhaps explains the lack of a traditional category? But others would know better than me!
All very beautiful, but I really love your flower quilt, it's beautiful, it's a winner in my eyes
Aw thanks!
Fabulous! I did slow down to check out some of these gorgeous quilts.
What a beautiful quilt show....so many unique designs. Thank you for sharing the show - what talent there is in the quilting community! I could sit here in New York, U.S. home and enjoy seeing all these beautiful Scottish-made quilts.
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
I love the irregular border on your flower quilt! Very nice photography on the quilts! I'm impressed you got your uncle's quilt done and still got to enter two quilts in the show. They made the show better!
The two I entered were ones I made before. The overgrown one I entered to another show last year so it already had the hanging sleeve sewn on - so easy to enter that one! The plus sign one was from January last year so it’s been finished for a good while!
I really, really enjoyed this. Such amazing creativity. I just want to see some more of your art quilt. It looked spectacular.
Thanks! I entered it in the Festival of Quilts last year and I have two other videos with it in - one is called ‘Entering my first quilt show’ that is probably the best one to see more about it if you are keen.
So many beautiful quilts - so much artistry, it's just mind-boggling! One of my favorites (although there were several) was "Zonal Zebra" - so imaginative and the workmanship was gorgeous.
Yes that one was striking.
❤your flower quilt
Thank you!
Wow. Looks like a great show! I loved some of those quilts!!!! And you got to meet Tom! He’s a great quilter, I adore his crisp lines and solid colour blocking. Very talented. Hehe
Yes he’s great! And just as nice in person. It was a great day.
Wow! I watch the colorblind quilter and his quilting tutorials are great
Yes he’s fab!
beautiful quilts
Thank you for taking the time to put this video up. I managed to take no photos at all! I thought it was a really good show this year.
Yes I had a good time!
I think your “Overgrown” quilt is spectacular and it showed very well.
Thanks so much!
Thank you for this video, Kristen...your pictures are great! I've shared to groups and friends :-)
So glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for taking us along, bet you got lots of inspiration for more quilts 😍
Totally! Very inspirational!
Thank you for sharing the show! I'm surprised Overgrown did not recieve a ribbon, but you entered two quilts. That's amazing in and of itself! Your productivity and creativity are inspiring.
Thanks so much!
Overgrown is just fabulous! Love that you used so many repurposed fabric. I also use a lot of repurposed and thrifted fabrics. Great job!
Thanks very much!
Ooh can’t wait to see what you do with the weaving!
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing. I’m going back to Scotland from Canada to visit my daughter at Uni in Dundee. This show would have been a definite visit. Last fall I found a lovely little shop in Edinburgh in which I picked up some fabric souvenirs for quilting. 😊
Aw fab! Glad you found a good spot!
Wonderful I am Interested in Irish and Scottish quilts!!
Thank you .... from those who could not travel to Scotland. Appreciate your video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love the tour. I love that the quilts were more abstract than traditional quilts are. They speak to me. Thanks so much for doing this. Enjoyed it very much and I enjoy your channel. Have a good day.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I agree Kristen. Your flower quilt is stunning😊
Thanks!
Wow! There was a lot of awesome quilts there. Yours really was one of my favorites...the scrap buster one. Not that I don't like the other one. But I just love that one.
Thanks!
The underwear quilt is hysterical 😂
Your quilts are beautiful.
Thanks so much!
Congrats on the entries ❤
Thanks!
I didn’t sound much as I felt the same about the prices. Enjoyed the quilts and certainly felt inspired x
Yes the quilts were the best bit!
Thanks so much for posting this. I am lousy at color, so I like to see other people's color combinations for guidance. As I was watching the segment about the small quilting groups and their challenge quilts it dawned on me that I've never seen that kind of display at quilt shows here in the upper Midwest. Next thought that came to mind was, "I could go to that show next year!"
Glad you enjoyed it and it got you thinking! 😀
Thanks for sharing. So beautiful and inspiring!
Thank you for sharing your Quilt Show experience with us. LOVE the quilts you submitted!
Thanks!
So much creativity…fiber artists have a lot to say.
Indeed!
Thank you for sharing this show with us. There is no way I would have been able to go. The photos are wonderful as is the music. Very enjoyable watch!
Glad you liked it!
So many beautiful quilts and yours looked right at home among them. Thanks for sharing your visit with us.
Thanks so much!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful quilt show with us far far away! I live in beautiful Kingston Ontario. ❤
I’ve been to Kingston! Glad you liked the video!
Thanks for sharing your visit to quilt show. Lots of eye candy to dazzle and inspire. I chuckled at the hexie variation of Grandmothers Flower Garden! Beautiful quilting and color play. Again I thank you. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
A lot of very beautiful quilts
Loved getting to see all the quilts! ❤
Thank you for sharing. All beautiful quilts.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing. It is fun to see what quilters in other countries are creating!
Glad you liked it!
Some amazing quilts Thankyou love all your denim ideas😊
I saw some very interesting quilts in this video. It was nice to see other people's designs and ideas. Thanks for sharing perspectives from your part of the world.
Glad you liked it!
Looks like you had a lot of fun. Lots of new ideas for future quilts too. I'll keep watching!
Yes it was a great day!
Always so impressed by peoples imaginations
Yes there were so many different styles!
Both of your quilts are beautiful. Thanks for sharing this with us. I’d love to see an update when you get into that Juko weaving kit.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!
@@ScrapFabricLove after looking into Juko Designs I believe I am headed down yet another rabbit hole with stick weaving. I love her wall hanging with various circles.
@fransak2723 now you can see how her stall sucked me in!
@@ScrapFabricLoveso have you done anything with that weaving kit yet? I’ve been doing a bunch of stick weaving after watching their video. I’ve thrifted most of my yarns. I’m loving it.
@fransak2723 I’ve been doing some practice weaving and finished a little wall hanging but haven’t finished anything I would use in a quilt yet. On my list!
Any suggestions of fabric stores in Edinburgh? I’ll be there in July for a knitting tour to the Shetland Islands. But I’m also an avid quilter. Loved the show. 🙏 ❤
The ones that come to mind are ‘My Bear Paw’, ‘Fabric Focus’ or Edinburgh Fabric Store. My favourite spot for fabric/sewing notions is charity shops in Morningside & Stockbridge (two different Edinburgh neighbourhoods). Those are less predictable to find things but fun to have a rummage in and when you do find something usually it will be a bargain.
Wow that was super ty! Definitely some awesome talent in Scotland. Your quilts fit in no problem
It will only be a matter of time before you win a ribbon. 🩷 Did they give you a review?
Yes I got some nice notes. I’m not expecting ribbons, it’s just nice to go and get a lovely photo of my quilts hanging up somewhere different.
Thanks, I enjoyed seeing all the beautiful quilts.😊💛🧡
