This song was broadcasted in my country (Italy) in 2009 and m'y father passed away ten years later. Alan Clark's father has a wonderful soul voice. Soul is my favourite music style
I’m sitting here crying because I was 19 years old when I lost my dad at the age of 53. This year it’s 40 years ago and I still miss him. So cherish your dad and tell him you love him while you still can. ❤️
I know what you are feeling. My dad died at age 47. I was 18 years. I still miss him. He missed my graduation, my wedding, his grandchild. And I missed him too especially at those moments.
I just sent this to a friend of mine. I haven’t heard it for a few years. On hearing me play this for the first time at my dad’s. It was the only time I saw him cry. We listened to it together the few weeks he had left. It was our song - and I suppose it will always be. Great words and your reaction by the way. Most sons and fathers will understand this song in their own ways.
Don't no how you do it. But your words are spot on. Give my best best to your pops from me, who's dad is in heaven. Hope your dad will be around for a long time.
Let youre dad hear this song, you don't have to sing it youreself. Alain clark another beautifull dutch voice, there for sure must be something in our water with that mutch talented singers
Yes this is Alain Clark with his father , Alain also has a son he recently sang this song with his son . Alain is a great singer and also from the Netherlands , the Netherlands has a lot of good singers who are doing very well .
Love this song and love your reaction. You are always very personal with your reactions, and that is what people on this channel like and can relate to. Keep up the honest and direct reactions.
Great reaction!! Alain was also in de beste zangers 2018. I love the song that he did for Glen Faria. Alain sung Blowing in the wind! So beautiful ❤️❤️
I'm not crying, you are.. pfeewww. Here in Dutchland are so many talented singer/songwriters. loved to experience all these songs all over again through you. Much love from the Netherlands
That's so sweet 🥰 I loved my father, he was my hero, such a sweet and lovely soul he had. I still miss him, he died to young. Never met my daughter, but I know he would have been so proud of her. My daughter loves her father very much but they also argue a lot. It is because they look alike 😉 but when she's older she will remember all the good things. It was very beautiful to see your emotions with this song. Love comes in many many shapes. Setting together, being quiet and drink beer, is also a form of love ❤
Yes, cherish your father!!! mine died about 21 years ago and I still miss him like hell!! And he was also a great singer to !!! (classical) Opera he always sang for and to me!
I follow you and your channel because i like the way you comment, know your way in music and always have a positive vibe, and sing a long. And now to be so open and vulnerable on youtube, that's amazing. Thank you, and keep being you! ❤️
First time here. This is so beautiful. Think what the world would be like if all parents and children had this love for each other. OMG, my face is wet.
Your reaction touched me, beautiful and pure, your parents are well aware that you love them for all what they have done but beside this, you are their son! 3 words.....I Love You....can make a difference...so tell them this as much you can via text, phone or what ever.... After my mom passed away 1,5 yrs ago, each day I tell her that I Love her🙏. You are a good soul no matter which mistakes you have made and will be made...we learn because of that. 💙
Your honest and true, I thnk you for sharing... again another great artist we have and should be proud of..Alain Clark is a modest guy, but he is really good!!
Growing up I had my troubles with my dad, you know... puberty. I did things differently than he would have and we would fight about that. One day after a big one, I heard this song on the radio. Searched it, put it on repeat untill I played it for my father. We stood there crying our eyes out. Now 10-15 years later I still cry when I hear this song and he really is my father and a friend! I only found your channel today and love your vibe man!
This song stays for a long time on our radio en everybody is singing withit. It's beautiful to hear this song again and again and again. He is also on the show...., de beste zangers.

HC, thank you for this. Isn't it fantastic to have such a relation with your father. Pure gold. It brings tears to my eyes as well as a smile. I had no relation at all with my parents. Autism and alcoholism played a big role in that. My parents gave it their 100%. No hard feelings. ❤
Yes, I have been waiting for this. One of my all time favorites. His father had a band and Alain grew up around music. And I think they had this kind of relationship where everything is supposed to be understood. And then he comes along with this, I think every father and son should listen to this.
