Really thought another nice old Ford V8 was up for the ' chop' , but no ! Just great that you are going to keep it mostly original & fix what needs to be done. She has lasted this long & deserves the dignity. Cheers from NZ.
I'm with you !!--keep it as "stock as you can"-what worked for henry, works for every one,-if you want some "fancy car"with all da "doo-dads"-get a "fiber--glass"-piece of "crap"---(jeezez--those "pendalum-pedals"-looked awful !!)--
Agree with you on keeping things as stock as possible. I'm a purist, though. I'm 67, but I've been that way since I was in my early 20s. If anything, I'm more of a purist than I ever was. When I was young, chopped and channeled, lowered, and all that, was pretty cool. I can't tell you on youarecensoredtube what I'd like to do to people who do that kind of thing to those ancient cars. Puddin's Fab Shop, go ahead on and lower those '80s mini trucks; don't care. The rest of you, stop Jesse James-ing those rare cars.

But..., wait. Isn't he planning to put a drop axle in it? Is that stock? Just asking.
Yes it's just a simpler lowering technique!
I like them pretty much original with a little stance.
