    What's really impressive about these little bikes is the power per displacement. For example, a 34 HP 125 is making 272 HP per liter!

      Nope, 34 hp is way to much power for an A1. The max power for and A1 bike is 11kw. And when you are 16 you can only driver mopeds and A1.

      Antonbombom AM licence for moped's 50ccm and 45km\h. A1 for 125ccm and 11kW for 16yo. A2 for 35kW and 0,2kW/kg and 3 wheelers with power 15kW . And paperwork accept everything like 600ccm with 11kW, or cbr125 with 50ccm engine.

      I had an unrestricted NSR 125 when i was 16. (i'm 20 currently too) it was pretty damn intense with top speed of around 160kmh and 0-100 time of just over 7 sec.
      I sold it for a CBR 125 though since it was leaking oil and had a bunch of electrical faults. The CBR is right now sitting in the garage waiting for me to get enough motivation to repair it, after some kid on a moped crashed into me and somehow broke the gearbox :/

      2 strokes don't smoke if you use them as they have to be used. Having fun and revving high. So combustion is good and no smoke. Only a slight perfume....and a LOT of fun. I'm riding the same rd350 ypvs since 1994, I can tell you.

      Megesthanese Coulomb
      No reason to be surprised. Separate oil injection and modern fuels and lubricants don't produce smoke. Heck, even in the 1970s most Japanese two-strokes didn't smoke as long as you used two-stroke oil as opposed to 30w four-stroke oil and left the adjustment of the oil pump on its factory settings.

Engine's have always held up well and never even fouled a plug. 2 strokes are very reliable if maintained properly. They get a bad reputation from people who don't know how to ride a 2 stroke.

    I don't have a bike but I do ride a scooter. It's the Aprilia SR150 Automatic Scooter with a 154cc Carbureted single cylinder engine producing 10.2Bhp and 11.4nm of torque. It's not as fast as a 200cc sports bike but it can beat a 150cc sports bike in outright acceleration. It's great for stop light races but it cannot keep up with the 150cc sports bikes for long because after all its a CVT scooter. But it's damn fun to weave through traffic although it isn't safe to do so.

    I bought an Aprilia RS125 back in 2003 as a commuter bike and it arrived restricted, even though I have a full bike licence. It was shockingly slow and wouldn't go above 45mph, slower than my RD50 I had when I was 16! I took it back and they de-restricted it and it was then good for 100mph and great fun. Got a bit tiresome on dual carriageways though at anything above 70 as the engine was constantly screaming, so it had to go for a bigger bike.

  • @iodineclip

    i do think both Aprilia RS and Mito could go faster than 170 kmh top speed. Modern heavier 250cc parallel twin 4 strokes could get to 170 kmh with around 35hp, i think these lightweight 2 strokes could definitely go faster than that.

    • @Jasnman28
      @Jasnman28 6 років тому +1

    Love the 2 strokes like👍 very enjoyable to watch.I used to have a fully souped up Kawasaki ar125 which I changed everything and it had a Yamaha rd400 fairing on and drilled out main jet! 130mph no bother but scary when the slack chain jumped of the rear sprocket,not good like👍✌😂😊 am still here to tell the tale.

      Tanes Sithamparam TXR 150 are slow because only had 26hp and top speed only just 160kph for 150cc 2 stroke.. but TXR only fast in corner road but not in straight road... in straight road TZM 150 and NSR 150 are the kings and the top speed can reach up to 185kph-212kph.. TXR 150 only can fight With RD 125cc because have the same power output 😂😂

    The good thing about 2-strokes is doing something as simple as crossing 2 wires or drilling the pipe gave you significantly more power, but learners now are stuck with a slow bike, but of course I would never condone derestricting a bike beyond license limitations.

    Could you do a "Best 125cc engine" ?
    There are some incredible 125cc engine that aren't 2 strokes. Even old engines like the one in the cb125 Twin pumped out 17bhp at 11.500 RPM and could stay at 12.000 all day while being air cooled.

  • @TheShahrum1985
    @TheShahrum1985 5 років тому

    In my country Malaysia, licence is based on cc. at 16y/o, u can get licence to ride any bike that 250cc or less for B licence (the lowest).
    And it's crazy, if you got money, can get full licence (250cc and above) at age 16 after finish with B licence. V4 YPVS anyone?
    A teenager with lightweight, high HP bikes = crazy combination.
    Mostly we buy 150cc 2 strokes bikes as it is cheaper, but still got high HP even compared to this day bikes.
    Yamaha TZM 150 = 35.51HP
    Kawasaki KRZ/ZSR/ZX/KRR = 29-32HP
    NSR 150SP = 39HP
    Suzuki TXR 150 (lightest of all 150cc) = 26HP
    Yamaha RXZ 135 = 21HP
    Cagiva Mito 125 = 33HP
    Yamaha 125Z = 17.26HP
    look at those HP for a small 2 stroke engine bike. Fun bike, but die young if not controlled properly.
    And the power easily boost up with minimal modification such as upgrading the carb, exhaust system and racing ignition coils.

    Pretty much there are Honda factories in Italy. Can you please do videos on dall'ara which import Honda motorbikes and make them into different versions of the bikes that are sold around the world globally. For example, ever heard of a CRE 450? Not CRF. And how about the XR 600? These are all offroad bikes. I don't know if there are any road bikes but that's all I know.

  • @marcustaylor670
    @marcustaylor670 6 років тому +1

    You use the bikes power to get through the corner, I destroyed 125cc GP bikes on a racetrack on a 600cc because even with slower entry speed I could use the power to drive the bike through exiting the corners faster.
    Malory Park 2007 on an FZR600 vs the guy winning the Phoenix 125cc championship springs to mind.
    Yamaha TZR was far and away the best 2 stroke 125 being the most reliable (I saw numerous bikes that hit over 30,000 miles without a rebuild). It was also one of the fastest with the power valve turned and would do a genuine 95mph, had decent handling and nice styling. The earliest version had a drum brake, later ones had a disc rear. The last models were bigger and heavier with the 250 chassis, better looking with better handling but not as quick. I've clocked loads of RS125's and the odd Mito & Derbi since I had bigger bikes, not one of them has topped over 95mph on my speedo despite reading anything up to 110mph on their clock.
    My advice would be get a full license and get a real bike, proper 2 stroke fun is at 250cc. Any sports 250 from the early 80's on will leave a 125 for dead everywhere, again early TZR250 parallel twin would be my pick, excellent reliability with a stock engine and good for 120mph with the tried and tested RD250LC motor. The 350LC YPVS isn't much quicker and the handling sucks with it's tubular old world frame, don't get sucked in by old timers waxing lyrical about how great they were, trust me they weren't.
