I use this as a lullaby to both my kids. Hope they can remember it even when they are older. It's such a beautiful and meaningful song. It's hard to finish singing it without crying.

FF series taught me that if you really try to be a protector of light , the light will always follow you.. it seems cliché but as we grow up it seems less and less people are reminding themselves of the importance of this fight against darkness, terror, war.. thanks for all the beautiful lessons 💕

@@marcosrenann9288 yea I'm 26 and while death is really closer than it looks, it helps me lots thinking how if we just helped out within our reach maybe that is point enough for a meaningful lifetime.. I do believe earth is in constant need of change, humanity is always struggling with its own mistakes so we have to take up the hardships that will follow and just hope for more smiles and love ✨

@@ck_illust7150 you speak just like my brother hahaha well you might as well be trolling but for me apart from the light i see people bowing their head upon the greater bastards around them.. evil may seem like a way for freedom but really it is all about being in fear and allowing others to control you.. i mean for me evil is capitalism , evil is playing powergames and submitting yourself to hierarchy positions, evil is believing you will be powerful enough for your freedom only through undermining others' freedoms (as in "we are born to kill").. if we are born to kill, i say why not kill some dictators, maybe we are born to kill some war starters, some child rapists, multibillionaires with agendas in third world poverty. the world is already a mess and the option to "fuck around having some evil fun time by yourself" seems like it's been repeating for too long.. wanna get some shit done while on earth or you're just gonna be one more of the millions who pretend to not care of love and light? it's all your decision in the end. i am too bored -and too freaked hahaha- to just go with an easy life as you propose it.. Yes, yes. Final Fantasy X and kingdom hearts too, I play FFX at least once every year, and also kingdom hearts II. I'm lucky my PS2 in the 2000s is still going strong until today

Seeing some people's comments here, about this song reminding them about a happy childhood, weddings, relationships...I can't really relate. For me, it's about the "life" part.
See...I'm a survivor of extreme trauma--harrowing experiences that most people can't really comprehend, and wouldn't be able to survive. What's more, I was born into trauma, so I've never really known peace, comfort, happiness, and so on. I didn't learn about family, friendship, love, or things like that either because they were never a part of my development, and I honestly didn't really have a "childhood" to begin with. That was my normal for the first 25 years of my life. The only reason I'm alive now is because nature stepped in and intervened where humanity failed me. As in, I decided to camp out in the forest alone back in early 2015 and...basically got a spanking from Mother Nature for my overconfidence. At the time I didn't realize it, but because I had no actual growth before then, that experience was more than just life-changing--I got a second chance at life, in the most literal and realistic way (although even then some people think I'm trying to make stuff up).
Not gonna lie, I'm never going to be able to connect with humans normally after everything that's happened--it was a painful thing for me to realize, and I'm still trying to come to terms with it. That's just how things played out for me--or rather, the garbage hand humanity dealt me from the start. So at this point, I'm just trying to figure out how to build bridges with humans, as someone who's of the same species, but...doesn't quite live in the same world as the rest of you. Or most of you, at least. Because, as easy as it would be to stoop to acts of terrorism and vengeance against humanity, that's the wrong path to take and I've fought hard to rise above all the corruption that drove authorities, family members, doctors, and other such figures to treat me like something to be used for their own benefit and then leave me to fend for myself. Better to take that poison and turn it into medicine--and I think the world kinda needs it right about now.
I think I can speak better than most about how precious a thing life is. There's no sense in wasting one's life trying to get back at others and perpetuate cycles of abuse and suffering, or destroy everything like Kuja tried to. But at the same time, there's no sense is just accepting a worthless hand of cards, when you can discard it in favor of creating your own (and that said, there's no reason to not go for a straight royal flush, yeah?).
FFIX spoke to me on a personal level, really. Lots of reminders about what's truly important.
