As the owner of a GSD/Malinois who acts all Mal, I was laughing with tears. My girl is like a tank. Unlike other breeds who will carefully walk/run around an obstacle in the way, my girl just plows right through them like they don’t exist to get to her ball. This was so funny, THANK YOU for lightening my evening and daring to show that the mighty Malinois has a hearty sense of humor as well as an amazing work ethic. Loved it!

I think my Mal is broken. She looks at a ball and I can hear her thinking, 'Excuse me, but I'm not a Labrador.'

I think these are deliberate mistakes taught the dogs to be humerus.

Even police dogs can have an off day.
My dad was a police dog handler here in the U.K. he was also in the dog demo team. Most of the ‘mistakes’ are 99% deliberate. Jumping the fence instead of the window I’m not sure about. The seesaw and hurdle is one that my dads team did. Bare in mind these dogs are trained to jump 6ft fences. And biting when they aren’t supposed to is always funny for the audience. The dogs love it too.

I love Police Dogs with a sence of Whimsy. And this pup has a great one. If there are more than one, then they all have a wonderful sense of Whimsy.
When working a night shift the buildings upper alarm went off. Police canine unit arrived, i was instructed to leave the building and stand behind the car. When that dog left the car he was ON ! The officer sent him and he came back in less than 10 minutes =all clear.
Watching that dog gave me pride in the canine force and the dedication to doing the best job. They will always have my love and respect.
Never run from these dogs , they will stop you.

I love that police dogs are still just dogs and remind us of that from time to time. I realized this working as a security guard and had someone hiding in the building I was working, so the dog came in. Didn't run for the guy but right to the lunch area for a treat! Made me laugh so hard. After they found the guy I made sure the dog got his treat! Have a lot of respect for them

Like 182. Some really funny stuff here! The dog that went around the barrier was actually pretty smart. Going around the barrier (instead of over) got the job done, but it was likely far more energy efficient. It also removed the risks of crashing into the barrier (like some other dogs did). Wonderful police dog show! Thanks for showing.

Watching these funny moments, with dogs that are probably fully functional at their job, makes me appreciate even more those videos where the training appears to be perfection.
It shows why you have to keep training them. These are gorgeous dogs
I started laughing as soon as the video started. Even animals can be like kids arms just want to have fun. Lol
They really are like kids they have a very kind and gentle heart, but they can also get down to business if they have to!

This was a lot of fun! I used to work in a government building and I would see our Sheriff's Department men with their superb K9 helpers. I so wanted to pet them but I understood they were working, so leave them be. I wonder if the handlers, and the very smart dogs, did a lot of this on purpose.

I had to train my Belgian Malinois to take treats gently (it didn't take her long to catch on. The weird thing is that she's always taken her heartworm and flea/tick chews very gently).

Oh boy hahha! It’s either the dog didn’t have enough training or he/she’s probably hungry LOLz! They’ve helped our community and police officers a lot though. We should always support them no matter what. Happy New Year brother!

I don't see them as bloopers. The dogs are so smart that they take the path of least resistance. Which is how they are trained. They do not know the barrier is suppose to be a wall. They just see it as the lower obstacle to get around to get to the bad guy or to assist their human partner. There is no fault in that. Like they say, "Work smarter not harder". Happy retirement officer, thank you for your service. 🥲
They are trained and practice jumping through a certain location, so yeah they do take the path of least resistance, but they are not obeying their handlers.
I worked on a K-9 SAR training team and we had a couple malinois. I swear those dogs understood the concept of humor and were absolutely hilarious until it was work time, then they were all business.

In their defense, most of them did their jobs…it’s like I’m algebra when they want to see the problem solved a certain way and mark you off because you didn’t do it “their way.” The puppers got from a to b…their way lol

Nah. If he wanted that finger, he had it. The dog had already closed his mouth before the handler removed his finger. The dog was just telling him not to point it at him.
