  • This video is about a very famous street food - layered bread called Veechu Paratha . It is very popular in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and all over south India and also neighbouring countries like Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore etc. There are so many variations like bun Paratta, Ceylon Paratta, Lappa, egg parotta or mogulai Paratta and also kothu paratta using this recipe as base. Parotta can accompanied with vegetable Kurma, chicken Salna, Mutton Curry or any other coconut based thin gravy.

    Super!!!!thank you!!!!! In Msia this is the most eaten food outside by all races. It was called 'pratha roti' but now Malay taking over all so now its called "roti canai" which in Malay means " kneaded flat thin bread"....

    We malaysian eat this for breakfast! Too much oil? Naaa, just nice, its what makes it more flaky and tasty!! The roti were so beautiful! I can make the dough, but the stretching part... need to master that.. i cannot get a fluffy version like that! I’m going to try this recipe! Great job chef!
