Love Airis Effects. I play metal and this thing is my favorite pedal to throw in front of my Mesa Stiletto Duce (modded JCM 800s-ish amp). Also on the inside of the pedal there is a pot that will turn up the volume (adds another 20db i think). I mean just incase +20db isnt enough 😂
Excellent video. Other reviewers give one the idea that this pedal is a high gain OD when it it is really a specialized EQ for an already dirt sound. I have found as guy that sets his amp at just to the level of breakup on a Plexi using many dirt pedals from a selection of Amp-in-a-Box and Fuzz that I can best judge a pedal of any kind by going thru just a clean sound. Even if it is a entry level Combo.
Thanks! Yeah even the Airis guys make the point that it's NOT a high gain OD. It's more of a "sweetener" akin to a SSS type. It's cleaner, so it does beautiful things to clean tones and tightens up the lows. Thanks for the comment!
