Damnit I’m so jealous, I can’t express how much I love the Silverburst Les Paul you have there. If I could only have one guitar for the rest of my life that would be it and I would be the happiest person ever. I also saw another video of yours (I’m subscribed) where you show the insane amount of amps and guitars you have and all those Gibson Les Pauls are so sick. Dude I’m 32 now and suffer from major depression and the only things that get me through are playing the crappy guitars I have and watching gear videos like yours. 32 years old and still can’t afford a good brand guitar. I just have a esp/Ltd ec-256 with most of the frets popping off the fretboard and a Harley Benton that sounds weak. Thank you for all your videos Kyle, just keep doing what your doing and things will eventually work in your favor brother. Take care!

You said it's a really warm or dark sound. If it's anything like the Rat it's derived from the tone pot is brighter as it goes down, the reverse of what a tone control normally does. When I mess with a Rat I turn the tone all the way down to the brightest setting and slowly turn it up to the sweet spot. I built a clone for my friend with LED clipping and he uses it in front of his JMP.

Kyle, just curious, what pickups are in your LP? The stock 490/498?
    Thanks, brutha! Love the channel!

Which noise pedal is that? I need one. Plus, the Iron Horse is a must have!

Last riff with more distortion sounded like a blown speaker on this end...everything prior was usable.

This pedal depending on where you push the distortion and the clipping mode can be pushed to fuzz.

Have you ever played the Splawn Super Comp? They seem even meaner than the Nitro...

Dig the show and as always love the process of how you explain what you experience in room. Very helpful. Especially when we live in a world we can't test amps anymore before we buy them. I am curious about just power amps being paired with different preamp. Mainly for a fly rig. South America has opened enough to were we have been able to book some shows down there. And bring a Helix works great here, but down there not all clubs and venues are equal. Meaning at times a wall of random cabs is your P.A. so if you don't have a power amp your screwed. So I have bought a V2 power station, pairing it with the a 2 rack synergy unit. A long with some other preamp pedals. KSR, victory kraken, G3,G4, and some amp tweaker stuff. How drastic does a power amp change the sound of a pre amp, and also using different power amps with the same preamp? I have never played a real vh4 amp.only the preamp pedal running through my V2 power station, it uses two 6L6 tubes instead of kt88. I know there is a difference but I don't know how much of a difference it can make. Nothing to benchmark it off from. Sorry I was so long winded. But I figured if anyone would know it would be you.

Hey man, the power section is very important, as it is usualy synergystically designed to work with the preamp. The Synergy stuff is designed to run with a clean power amp and get the primary voicing from the preamp, but by nature, it won't be able to 100% recreate the feel and tone of the amp it's designed after.

I wouldn't use a blues driver for metal or most harder rock music. It's good for loose and abrasive punk or at low gain its a cool classic sounding drive.

@@Turbo-D I've been playing guitar for two decades and I've never seen any metal player using a blues driver for over driving their amp lol. It's always tube screamers or SD-1s
