I don't easily get emotional over sad scènes in movies or series but Iroh celebrating his passed away son's birthday and singing in tears for him hits instantly 😢
So, to clarity. Mako is the original voice actor of Iroh. This was his final recording before he passed away, but since episodes aren't recorded in order, we still hear him for the rest of season 2
If ‘The Tale of Iroh’ and Momo at the end wasn’t sad enough. The girl at 11:09 was a Make-A-Wish kid who wanted to go to the studio and meet the cast and crew. The creators wrote her character into Aang’s story. They even designed the character after her and had her do the voice.
3:04 around here when katara calls toph pretty, toph can tell when someones lying as we saw in previous episodes, so she knew katara was telling the truth which makes this super cute
The Tale of Iroh was dedicated to Mako Iwamatsu who voiced Iroh and sadly passed away from esophageal cancer as Book 2 was airing and they were finishing production. He will still be the voice of Iroh through the rest of the season but during the scene with the kids playing with the ball you can hear the person who took over (Greg Baldwin, he also took over other voice acting roles Mako had done that were still ongoing), because they needed to rerecord that line. The picture of Lu Ten was based on a picture of Mako when he was young. Greg Baldwin has said that one fan request he will deny is to sing Leaves from the Vine because he feels that is Mako's song and will not take it from him. The Tale of Aang is sadly the last appearance of the cabbage merchant in the series but will not be the last reference to him.
1:39 Toph is very reluctant to allow anyone else to touch her feet, probably because insensitive handling there would make her deaf to other vibrations and thereby render her helpless (and because they are far more sensitive than other people's feet).
I love the Tale of Iroh with him being a dad at every stage of a boy’s life from toddler, to adolescent, and then to young adult. Reflecting his time with Lu Ten
I've heard (and accepted) a headcannon that Iroh purposely did Zuko's hair like that so she'd quickly rub his head, which would ease the tension faster. The man's not just a general of war but dating.
Actually, it's called a turtle seal, which is an animal that lives in underground ice caverns beneath the North Pole and on icebergs of the Northern Sea. The turtle seal is green with a hard shell around its midsection, providing some protection from its natural enemy, the polar leopard, and four flippers that allow it to swim well in cold water. The creature has a long, sleek neck and its face is characterized by small black eyes, ears and whiskers. Turtle seals live in herds and especially enjoy swimming through the ice tunnels underneath the North Pole. They are piscivorous carnivores, eating fish, shellfish, squid and other ocean creatures. Turtle seals will slide on their bellies across the ice until they find an opening, before diving in and swimming through underwater ice tunnels. Considered lovable creatures, they are not bothered by humans and will bark loudly and continuously when present as a large group. As the name implies, this animal is a cross between a turtle and a seal.
Toph and Katara: the mean girls can't go to the Dai Li because they would have to confront their assaulters and you'll understand later on why trying to lie with Toph around isn't smart. Also, an example of not letting what others think of you, get to you Iroh: Final moments broke me. Aang: Better stick to his job of saving the world. Sokka: Well he tried his best Can't say he didn't deserve It was quite fun girls Zuko: Showcases his sensitive side. Momo: Misses Appa so much.
12:58 I wonder if Zamber understood that the girls weren't appreciating that one only because it didn't follow the haiku rules, not for other reasons 😂
I freaking love Zuko's story. Despite his awkwardness, he's got some game, and Jin is just the BEST. I really wish we got more of her; she's easily the best girl for Zuko.
"Toph and Katara"was a sweet chapter. "Tale of Iroh"makes me cry, not just because of the actors passing, but a powerful performance at the end. Thankfully, we followed with something light. "Tale of Aang". A fun little piece and I loved all the cute animals. The turtle seal meandering behind makes me laugh every time, and the Cabbage Man just giving up. "Tale of Sokka". Not the greatest when compared to all the rest, but still not bad. "Tale of Zuko". It's good to see an episode with Zuko where he's not screwed over or hated at the end("Zuko Alone"). "Tale of Momo" Geez, thought it would be simple and fun, but I feel so attacked RN. Momo's dance is so funny with the BG music when he's performing and it at least lets us know that Appa is in the city.
I like Jin. She’s a good example of where we love the canon shipping but we also like the ship of her and Zuko. The creatures in Aang’s tale in case you want to know include tigerdillo, rabbaroo, elephant mandrill, gemsbok bull, hog monkey, dragonfly (literally), and the black cats are actually Pygmy pumas. I’d love to see what a poodle monkey looks like besides obvious imaginings
I really like the order of the short stories! Ps: just a reminder Mako the original voice actor for Iroh passed for season 2. Luckily he was replaced by his student Greg Baldwin. He’s awesome!
In the tale of Toph and Katara, am I the only one that sees the story of the young girl that's starting to wear makeup, only for older girls to kill her joy by calling her a "clown"?
To rub salt into the wound, the portrait of Lu Ten is based on Mako at a younger age and the inscription translates, "General Iroh, I will see you again when victory is obtained. Your loyal son, Lu Ten." It is speculated that this was the last correspondence between Iroh and his son before Lu Ten's death in the Siege of Ba Sing Se.
FUCK. I FORGOT THIS EPISODE WAS THIS SOON. I THOUGHT IT WAS ATLEAST ONE MORE REACTION AWAY 😭 Rest peacefully Mako, your death is not forgotten as you got a character named after you in LOK.
He’s the uncle we all wish we had but would never wish his life upon any Losing his only son in a war Then to travel the world to realize what he could do to not only help but maybe heal what he did before
Leaves. From. The. Vine. Four words that are guaranteed to make an Avatar fan cry. You see, Mako, Irohs voice actor, passed away from esophageal cancer sometime after this was recorded...but it wont be the last we hear him in this season. I always liked Aangs tale because of the creative animal hybrid designs. Like, a rabbiroo is a rabbit that now has a tummy pocket, the dillolion looks really cool and probably would be an OP predator IRL, the list goes on! ...still weird the Earth King just has a bear.
a minor spoiler Toph can actually tell when someone is telling the truth so when Katara was telling her that she thinks shes pretty, she knew that Katara was telling the truth some people point out that it almost didnt mattered if the girl Zuko went out with learned that hes from the fire nation since everyone in Ba Sing Se has been told that there is no war in Ba Sing Se
Iroh- (To the sandbenders who stole Appa) It is usually best to admit mistakes when they occur and to seek to restore honor. Aang- You muzzled Appa?! (Avatar state triggered) Iroh- But not this time. Run!
Zamber what I meant on the last reaction was that on Netflix “The city of the walls and secret “ was labeled as episode 13, and “The tales of Ba Sing Se” was labeled as episode 14
Fun fact, everyone who watches the Tale of Iroh instantly becomes a master of tear-bending.
(Tearfully) Shut up. Don't joke about that.
You can watch the scene 100 times and you will always get emotional, when Iroh sings you feel his pain, regret and sadness.
And it work🙏 every sad scene I cry 🙏 just bc I cried to that scene
With the amount of times I watched this, I now have a 10th level blackbelt in tearbending.
I don't easily get emotional over sad scènes in movies or series but Iroh celebrating his passed away son's birthday and singing in tears for him hits instantly 😢
Translation of Luten's letter "General Iroh, I will see you again after we win the war. Your loyal son, Lu Ten".
THANK YOU!’
As quoted by Theoden from The Lord of the Rings:
"No parent should ever have to bury their child." 🥺😭
So, to clarity. Mako is the original voice actor of Iroh. This was his final recording before he passed away, but since episodes aren't recorded in order, we still hear him for the rest of season 2
Didnt he also do Aku in Samurai Jack?
@@CircuitReborn Yup! Except for the final season.
@Renkencen as well as the reboot of course
@@MohamadNadi losing Mako was a tragedy.
Another tragedy is that he never got to hear Aku say EXTRA THICC!
@@MohamadNadi That's what I meant. The final season was made after Mako passing.

The creators wrote her character into Aang’s story. They even designed the character after her and had her do the voice.
Also, she beat her cancer and is alive and well.

Lu Ten's portrait is actually Iroh's VA, Mako, from when he served in the US army.
To think they almost wanted to end the episode with Iroh's story.
Adam: "It's such a BUMMER, man!"
Honestly, that sounds way better
@@HaydrogenBombnah I think Momo's was a better endpoint thematically.
Iroh: The ultimate wing man! I love his face when he put his hand on Zuko’s shoulder. He was like, ‘I got you bro.’
1:39 Toph is very reluctant to allow anyone else to touch her feet, probably because insensitive handling there would make her deaf to other vibrations and thereby render her helpless (and because they are far more sensitive than other people's feet).
11:07 i remember someone saying on another reaction to this episode that this girl's VA was an actual kid dealing with cancer.
I love the Tale of Iroh with him being a dad at every stage of a boy’s life from toddler, to adolescent, and then to young adult. Reflecting his time with Lu Ten
And so begins the most difficult journey of the feels.
I've heard (and accepted) a headcannon that Iroh purposely did Zuko's hair like that so she'd quickly rub his head, which would ease the tension faster. The man's not just a general of war but dating.
Could totally see that 😂
The day of legends is upon us. Zamber has witnessed Leaves on the Vine with her own eyes.

To be fair, if there no war in ba sing se, zuko's crush had no reason to be afraid of a fire bender
True
Prepare to cry
Appa's roar at the end of Momo's dream wasn't him attacking Momo but just the sound of actual thunder slipping into his dream.
Congratulations, Zamber. You've felt the pain. This was your initiation into the fandom.
I lost my older brother couple weeks ago. Saw my parents in their worst. Indeed no parent should see their kid pass away
The tale of iroh is so sad. He is really an amazing character 😢😭😔
Appas lost days is next 😢
Don’t remind me! 😭
I think the tale of Aang was just to show off his bending skills. Just a demonstration of air, water and earth for construction, not for fighting.
"Toph and Katara"was a sweet chapter.

The pygmy pumas are really important too.
Here we are, every single time I think I'm past this 😭😭😭😭
if you're worried about not seeing Appa's story, don't worry, it wasn't forgotten. *His story is just so long, it will take up an entire episode.*
The next episode is a sad one as a warning now. It might break you, it’s already done to so many others
The next episode is kinda sad. It is called Appa's lost days. We will take a break from team Avatar, and focus on an old friend.

Yep, saw this one coming a mile away 😅
YES! I've been waiting for you to react to this again.
I clicked the notification as soon as I saw it.
I tried to warn and prepare you without spoilers. But no matter what anyone says, NOONE is prepared to see iroh wish his son a happy birthday 😔🥺🥺
Nice tale episode
Uncle Iroh is an excellent wingman. He just need to let Zuko style his hair on his own and leave the pomade.
Iroh- (To the sandbenders who stole Appa) It is usually best to admit mistakes when they occur and to seek to restore honor.
Aang- You muzzled Appa?! (Avatar state triggered)
Iroh- But not this time. Run!
I just remembered the next episode is Appa's lost days.😢
How has NO ONE mentioned the amazing Sokka edit?!!!??!
Rip Mako
Zamber what I meant on the last reaction was that on Netflix “The city of the walls and secret “ was labeled as episode 13, and “The tales of Ba Sing Se” was labeled as episode 14
Yes, that's because they combined episodes, which is NOT the official ordering of the episodes.
@@IAmZamber oh ok
It has been 11 months since you reacted to YOASOBI's Idol MV. You gotta watch the anime now surely....
Jin & Zuko is my otp 💚❤

HAHAHAHAHA ... shit, you got me there
Sorry Zamber I forgot to tell u to skip on the make up for this episode that's my bad😢😢

oh yeah, the crying tales of Ba Sing Se.
Tbh I'd rather they placed Iroh's story as the 2nd to last one, rather than being the 2nd one.

It’s ok, the next episode is much more cheerful.
time to cry :D

Hey zamber they have some new leaks of miraculous ladybug season 6 out that I would love to see your reaction to
