Roland-Garros 2022: from 16 May to 5 June. - Спорт
To think this is his last ever match and he has been off for so long but is still able to compete with one of the most inform clay courters right now, just shows how good he really is! ALLEZ Tsonga, all the best for whatever else your life has to offer!
That's very true. He really did compete, didn't he? Almost five sets! And as you say, one of the best clay courters. In fact, after Djokovic, Alcarez, Nadal and maybe Tsitsipas., Ruud in the first round is the hardest draw.
Monteiro is definitely winning french open this year
I dare anyone Stop Monteiro winning french open 2022...
@Rafa Undisputed goat the biggest cheater of all time. Never won a legit slam. Stalldall, never had the balls or integrity to play by the rules. Pussy
I don't know if that speaks to how well Tsonga played or how bad the current ATP roster is right now.
Ruud is great. No theatrics, no histrionics, no grunting; just a cool, collected and quiet competitiveness. And very humble. A perfect opponent for Tsonga’s last match.
yes Ruud is a great Tennis Player.
You could see the emotion in Casper's eyes as he walked to the net to shake Tsonga's hand.
Very norway
Good ambassador for the game. Unlike Prick Kyrgios
He looked gutted after hitting that last fh winner. Shows what kind of character Ruud has for sure.
The match going three tie-breaks is testament to Jo's natural talent, despite eventually going down to a sublime 14 year younger opponent. All the best JWS!!!👏
Yoooo Simon pegg
Loved the cornetto trilogy and mission impossible. He would’ve probably won the third if he didn’t get injured
No I’m sorry, natural talent is out the window, this is Jo’s wisest most experience form since the man went pro in 2004, he was top 5 in the world, he’s 37! Natural talent is something you say to younger men lol
this right here is wisdom with close to peak conditioning.
@@Apostulate Is it not possible to be old and talented?
@@bryandyer5454 Exactly. What I meant by ;natural talent' was 'gifted'. Thank you for the sensible question.
Heartbreaking to see that expression on his face at 0-6 in the tiebreak, but what a career and what a player. Enjoy retirement Jo.
@Rafa Undisputed goat Carlos Alcaraz stopped him
Jo-Wilfred is easily one of the most entertaining players to watch ever.
So true, The serve, forehand, volley, diving shot and unexpected one handed backhand. He is so unique. Your name is funny btw.
He is one of the players who in their prime were just a step below the greats, who have a game that is much more fun to watch than their rankings would indicate. He is in a select group in that regard, with John Isner, Jack Sock, Dustin Brown, and (longer ago) Michael Chang, among others. Nick Kyrgios is a younger example - he's only ranked 76 in the world right now, but you'd assume top 20 by how much attention he gets and the trouble he occasionally gives the greats (and no, it's not only due to his outbursts). True fans of the game will miss Jo-Wifried. He just made the tour more fun. Happy retirement, old man!
Kyrgios before Kyrgios
@Rafa Undisputed goat Novak's says hi
EASILY !
Jo-Wilfred gave it his all. Who else is in tears after watching this??
Tough to watch that point where he wanted to withdraw but the chair umpire had him called the trainer instead..
I would have forfieted one point in the last tie-breaker to tsonga.
Me ! Tsonga was my favorite player ...i was by the dentist for pulling a teeth and i ask him let me finnish watching Tsonga in the waiting room....He understood my love for this tennisplayer (2009 A.O. in the morning i remember it like yesterday)
Not tears, just very bad allergies that suddenly coincided with the last 20 seconds...
@@Ssagar304 He could still decide for himself, though.
I grew up cheering for Tsonga, especially whenever he faced the big 3. He will always be one of my favorite players and I wish him all the best with nothing but love.
@Dan Zhou
Best comment ever.
Have a nice day🙂Stay healthy.
Good bye Jo, we will miss you so much!
Thanks French Open, because showing us the handshake at the net and a few seconds of his farewell ceremony was just too much to ask, right?
Such an incredible talent, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Thank you for entertaining us! I wish him nothing but the best! What a match from both players as well!
Goosebumps and tears when the crowd start singing the French National Anthem during the 5-6 changeover in the fourth set.🇫🇷
Incredible moment, I haven't seen many moments like that in a tennis match - I want to watch it again but can't find any videos!
The French Open Highlights nothing but strange… not even the last Handshake at the net has been mentioned 🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️😅
No one will ever understand your kind of footage
There’s a half hour montage of his farewell ceremony including the very warm handshake
@@themountain3461 on a Eurosports channel, this is the Roland Garros one though
Tsonga´s game was always spectacular. Always aggresive, always wanting to win the point and so charismatic. France´s greatest player since Yannick Noah. Merci Jo!
Let's not Forget Guy
@Rafa Undisputed goat no chance against Djokovic. Wasnt he injured? because he seems perfect normal; if Nadal was injured like all the drama he made and has made recently, he WOULD´NT BE ABLE TO COMPETE.
What a wanker Nadal is.
(ohhh but he has already the perfect excuse prepared after Djokovic kicks his ass: "The chronic foot".)
@@rebecalinares5393 No chance against Djokovic n dat too at RG? Lol that must be the most dumb statement I have ever heard.... What u still high school? Plus he has a chronic foot problem which comes up at the wrong time but u stupid Djokovic fans wanted him to skip French Open lol n crying abt him playing... Delusional Djokovic fans.... Plus that snake Djocovid was just kicked out of Australia because Djokovic shit his pants seeing Nadal in the same draw in AO n made a drama to get out of Australia lol.... I expect him to be kicked out of every tournament n then u can go back to ur den n cry to ur momma.
And gentlemen ,i love this tennisplayer !
Glad that even in his last match, Jo is able to make his opponent who is 14 years younger and one of the best in the world right now on that surface to work for it. You will be missed.
@Rafa Undisputed goat I think the other players just don’t want to touch the ball that touched Rafas ass and nose.
Not that long ago he was a beast. Its crazy how time flies, i was a young teenage when he rocked in the tennis courts
I thought i had a fly on my screen idiot ! 😂
Wow what a superb final effort from Tsonga!🥳 He gave his everything! And the French crowd carried him 💛
@Rafa Undisputed goat
Djokovic
Tsonga playing...you know you wanted to watch or must watch, worth all my time over the years. Thank you for entertaining us you motivated some of us to pick up a racquet and get better playing tennis with energy and enthusiasm, will be missed, memories will live on and last forever. God bless, good health and happiness in your next chapter and yes I shed a few tears too.
Holy shit dude. Why they gotta make Ruud feel this guilty. He's such a nice guy hahaha
congrats jo for your great career! you will be missed
Respect for ruud is increasing by the day.
it was a gruelling match and he could have let out a roar after winning... he chose the occasion over his emotions. 😊
Fair to say, we're all cried 😢
I guess Tsonga was giving absolute everything in his last tournament against Ruud. But in the end, nevertheless. What an remarkable career and best of luck in the next chapter 👏
He played very well today
Won many beautiful points
Fought till the end
An amazing last match to remember
We will miss you Jo
Dang he was always one of my fave players to watch. Watching him play that tie-break in tears got me 🥹 he loves this sport & so glad he played so well in his last match even tho he lost.
I wish Jo the best in life!
Two excellent players and true gentlemen of the sport. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, you've played in so many memorable matches over the years and given so much joy to tennis fans around the world. Enjoy your retirement. It is well earned.
It's such a weird feeling that all these players I loved watching are retiring. I don't think people understand how entertaining the game was 10+ years ago. There were much more entertaining players than just Fedal, djokovic, murray that I would have paid money to see.
Honestly, I didn’t expect such a great match! Two real powerhouses clashing! Kudos to Tsonga for bringing that level to the table and kudos to both making this ultimate fight such an emotional and memorable one!
So glad I caught this today! Happy for his ceremony and going out with class and emotion!
What amazing career Jo Wilfred Tsonga has had! Loved watching him play. Such a great personality, I'm sure he will be missed on tour by everyone 🎾❤️💪🇫🇷
He deserves more than a 3:39 highlight reel. it's his last match, after all!
goodbye Tsonga fucking legend, love from Serbia
takoe sokole
JWT, since my childhood after the first time I watched you play, when someone asked me who my favorite tennis player is, the answer was always you! You inspired me not just in tennis, but more importantly as a person; strong and dominant, yet kind, gentle, humble and fair, not to forget your rare charisma and humor! Thank you for everything, we’ll miss you dearly.
Thank you for the memories Jo!
Thank you sir for the beautiful moments and flair, inspirasion. Legand!
Merci beaucoup Jo!!!!
J'ai adoré te voir jouer, tu nous a régalés !
tocard un jour tocard toujours!
@Rafa Undisputed goat djokovic and alcaraz are better than him right now
Love you Tsonga! So many great memories. God bless!
It makes me very nostalgic to see Tsonga retire! What a great player and what a great match. Congratulations on a great career!
Tsonga was always class and he was a spectacular player. His forehand and serve were bombs. I will always remember his matches against nadal, Djokovic and Federer. Amazing carreer and amazing player.
Greetings from Spain, I wish you all the best.
@Rafa Undisputed goat this is not the time or the place to comment that
Tsonga thank you for all the joy you gave us! Legend!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Tsonga plays his last match beautifully, as always.
His tennis is unique, and a joy to watch, one of my favorite players. Sure will miss him.
I wish him/family a good, healthy life. All the best.
Thank you for the highlight.
Stay healthy everyone.
Ruud wasn't just playing against Tsonga, he was playing against most of the spectators, some of who actually booed him as he entered the court (very rude to Ruud). It was clearly a match and moment of national pride in Roland-Garros Paris. But both competitors played a long hard sometimes painful match, and we would like to say both emerged with respect and dignity. Amazing tennis and loads of emotion.
Even in his last match he still went toe to toe with one of the best clay courters of the season for nearly 4 full sets. Great effort.
Been almost 2 years since this. I hope he is enjoying his next chapter.
Lágrimas de un guerrero, de impotencia de querer jugar, de luchar pero, el dolor debe ser muy fuerte. Grande Tsonga!
Thank you JWT 🙏🙏🙏
No way is this Tsonga's last match he will always be one of my favourites 😭😭
Very well played, Jo. Like in the prime days. Was nice to see you on the court for another time.
Jo-Wilfred Tsonga will be dearly missed, he had an amazing career.
Jo, that was insane to produce that kind of level for your last match!! So sad to see you go, especially when your shoulder gave out in the last few games of the match... that was especially heartbreaking as a fan. But you produced something beyond anything we could've hoped for, and that's testament to your successful career over the years. You were one of my all-time favourites to follow and there's no one like you in this sport. You made tennis so fun to watch during the last 15 years. Have a glorious retirement and we'll miss you, but hope to see you elsewhere soon! ❤❤❤
We will miss that monster forehand, sometimes mercurial shotmaking and simply joie de vivre that were the hallmarks of Jo Wilfried Tsonga. Merci à vous Jo!
I have always appreciated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga's cheerful and positive nature. I enjoyed watching him very much. All the best for his future.
Love Mt. Ruud, always take into consideration of opponents’ feelings.
I've always enjoyed watching him play. He always came across as such a decent person.
We will miss you Joe! Enjoy time with family now and thanks for all great memories 🎉❤😢😊
A pleasure to watch. Enjoy your retirement Jo-Wilfried!🇫🇷🇨🇬🎾
Bravo Tsonga, on a vibré grace à toi, une fois de plus. Merci !
Thank you Tsonga for all the years of tennis you gave us. Happy trails to you.
Legend of the sport!
That 2008 AO was magnificent. Especially against Nadal. it was the best tournament of his career
We’ll miss you Willie! ❤️
Wish all the best to you, Jo!
Thx Tsonga and all the best!
you will be remembered💪🏻
very sad tsonga is leaving tennis...but what a great farewell match, and ruud is a class act!
Will miss you so much Tsonga. You have inspired many people. Forza Tsonga.
The way he played, the way he celebrated, the talent and charisma was what first got me into tennis. I remember him beating federer in 5 sets and that's what inspired me to play tennis myself. A hero of the game
Jo-wilfred what a man .. love u bro😘😘
I'm a pretty new tennis fan so this is the first I've seen of Tsonga. However, I've of course heard about him a little bit. Knowing how good he is and now seeing him take it to Ruud, in a best of 3 on clay, after so long off the tour... I wish I had seen this guy in his prime!
A champion of the most sunny, smiling, lovable and loved.
Never disrespectful but always respected, never quarrelsome and always fair.
Also for all these characteristics he was an athlete and a man of great charisma.
A big hug from Italy.
I love his attitude
Tsonga very stylish and entertaining player. I loved watching his plays always … too career !! 💎🏆
His record is 16-39 vs big 3.I know its not good but given what big 3 achieved in their careers,Tsonga did a very good job.He can beat anyone on his day.He was 4-1 vs Djokovic in their early 5 meetings. My fav Tsonga match was 2008 AO semifinal where he completely destroyed nadal...Best player ever to not win a slam 💯💯
Wimbeldon QF 2011?
@@rambo2667 Federer was average in that match but Tsonga played exceptional to win from 2 sets down vs the greatest grass court player. But his performance vs Nadal at AO 2008 was just outstanding. He gave Nadal no chance.
Nope. The best player to not win a slam was Nalbandian
@Rafa Undisputed goat what the hell is wrong with you? You create an account solely dedicated to "Rafa undisputed goat" and copy past the same comment everywhere? What a sad life really
You can see Casper caring for Tsonga as he meets him to shake his hand.
Love u JO
Tennis now a days is not just power...but a combination of stamina and mind.
That is why many players fall short of the grace.
For Tsonga...power aint enough.
Cheers.
All good things must come to a end. All the best JOE
I just need decent highlights is it demand to much? Why not on APP?
Congratulations Tsonga on an 18 year stellar career!
Tsonga le magnifique!!! J'adore son style de jeu....finesse, precision, beaute et puissance...
The great player, won the best players the world, without a doubt one of the few differentiated tennis
Thank you, Tsonga!
very touching moment! I will remember you Tsonga!
The woman in red cheering Tsonga on. What a beauty.
Молодец Каспер, браво. А Тсонга великолепный мастер, но никто не застрахован от травм. Браво обоим.
What a career. Good luck in life brotha
Man gave it his all. I respect that.
I was only one in stadium cheering for casper was funny when I got French people behind me to quietly cheer for ruud as well
Tsonga hats off and massive respect for him ! one of the true entertainers of tennis ever !
I wanted to see the handshake 😓 and maybe listen to what Ruud said to him. You will be missed Tsonga 💪🏻🎾
Check the Roland garros highlights page
Check out Eurosport Tennis channel, Ruud gives Jo a big hug and and gives a nice speech celebrating Tsonga and his career.
Thanks!!! 🤩
Props to Tsonga for showing up strong. He's a true pro. Mush respect.
He had the danger in his hands. Some of his shots just flawless and simple.
Cried every bit! 😩
To our youth, another hero just stepped down.
I wish they wouldn't cut the video before the handshake, it's sad enough the highlights are so short but it would have been nice to see the exchange for this one in particular as it being Tsonga's last at RG
Tsonga is an amazing player and he gave it his all against one of the strongest players right now, he will be missed!
Au revoir Tsonga. You played amazing. Enjoy the rest of your life with the family.
saw him play many times at the USO
The story never ends
boo to tht one dude who whistled early lol. Tsonga has always been a champion in my mind and represented the fun side of tennis to me
What a career. Made a Aus open final going down to djokovic, also beat federer on center Court at Wimbledon coming back from 2 sets down. Would be nice to see the hand shake at the end of these highlights
So sad to see him leave the sport. One of my favs even though he didnt achieve as much as he could. he could have won several grandslams. What a loss for tennis.
