  • Louise Bourgeois was a French-American artist who used spiders as a central motif in the later part of her career. She thought of spiders as patient and clever, and they reminded her of her mother, who was a weaver and restorer of tapestries.

    Sculpture wire
    Black tissue paper
    Modge podge
    Foam brush
    Rubber bands
    Newspaper

    I love this! I have all the materials except all my tissue paper is Christmas themed, so unless I want a jolly holiday Santa spider, I'll just have to use ink or paint. Fun! (Thinking about a jolly Christmas spider.)
