Haha I will for sure do more on the water boy! Plan is to try to run some higher keys this week assuming I can get some gear. If I can get to 450 I’ll start pushing into the 16+ keys

A few minor pointers for you just to make your RSham experience a bit smoother:
Elemental orbit allows you to apply 2 shields to yourself at a time which means you can have ES and WS on yourself at all times, you should be taking this talent in most situations, and this will help your Mana a lot as I noticed you didn’t have Water shield up pretty often.
Riptide will be your highest hps ability in almost every run, and you should be applying them preemptively so you can maintain 4-5 of them up on the party throughout the fight, along with maintaining both of your Earth Shields at all times.
Nature’s Swiftness + Primordial Wave is a great combo that can quickly help you recover from groupwide damage and is basically a mini CD.
Ancestral Guidance and Ascendance are both amazing CDs on relatively short cooldowns, and are fantastic at helping keep you afloat during heavy group damage, especially Ascendance as it does a large aoe heal upon pressing it. Don’t be stingy with these, as 2-3 mins is much shorter than you’d expect when you have AG, Ascendance, Spirit Link and potentially even Healing Tide all at your disposal at any given time.
As you’ve discovered, Cloudburst Totem is difficult to optimize, and isn’t worth taking when you’re learning the class imo. Healing Stream Totem is still a great option, especially with the talents available to buff it, and access to Totemic Recall.
Overall RSham is slightly awkward to play for some as we have a mix of proactive and reactive gameplay, along with a few different styles of damage dealing depending on the talents you select. I personally find that I’m only running low on mana when I’m not rotating my CDs efficiently and am forced to spam chain heals. If you’re maintaining all of your passive healing (Healing Rain, Riptides, Healing Stream Totem, ES) and rotating your CDs properly, mana should never be an issue.
Also don’t forget we have the lowest cd long range interrupt in the game (I think), poison cleansing totem, Hex, Thunderstorm/Thundershock, Earthbind Totem, and access to 2 great accessory talent options for Capacitor Totem if you need more control.
Great video, and good luck with your future RSham endeavours!

Wow, talk about putting in the effort! Really appreciate it man. This is what i love about healers in WoW, we generally help each other out with stuff like this.
I am pumped to hop on the shaman later this evening to try to put your well throughout and presented advice, much appreciated!

Thank you! I like this way of learning a new class/spec. See what works and what doesn’t then adjust to something else :) makes the process more fun for me!

What can I say, I’m magnificent 😂 . Thanks for the shot out. I’ve been playing my own Resto Shaman this week and mana management is a problem. I keep up mana shield up in the dungeons I know I’ll need it. It’s kind of group dependent. Also doesn’t help that I tend to horde my major cooldowns in case I’ll need them next pull so I use a lot mana trying to keep peeps alive instead of pressing Ascendance to help stabilize faster. Bad habit to have.

Haha you did great man, appreciate you helping out.
I am super excited about the shaman, I like how it plays and I like that there is a challenge to effectively heal, and not just here is one button and you are solid.
Mana will be harder for sure, but I want to get to 35-40% crit as soon as possible to see how difficult it is to manage.
Thank you for being a supporter man, appreciate it!

There is not a healer in the game that can do as much damage. I am doing quite fine in the Emerald Dream just playing heals. Amazing and unkillable...

Yeah they for sure pump out some good numbers! Druids are insanely good at juggling healing and dps too. Picking a main for season 4 will be tough
