It’s nice to see scenes of MeeMaw being a grandma to more then just Sheldon
It is indeed. This is so cute ❤️
Thanks for the heart ! ☺️
She welcomes everyone it’s just that Sheldon reaches her more
Honestly I've seen many scenes of her with missy. I don't think she only likes sheldon
Meemaw’s always been there for Georgie and Missy. Such as getting them ice cream when Sheldon had to go to the psychiatrist, or doing Missy’s hair and warning her to be careful with boys because they can break your heart.
I love how parents are more direct with their kids. But relatives are more nonchalant with them but relate on whole different level than the parents!
She looked cute and they were jealous, that's it. No 12yo has hairy legs and even if they do, who cares? Oh and btw the other outfit was nice, too, something I'd go for lmao
What year is this in the story? Isn't this supposed to be like the early 1990s or something?
Damn I wasn't even born back then.
They mention the war in Yugoslavia, so its the 90s for sure.
'Did somebody die ? Then we can fix it' best line of the show
I know right. It's a great motto to have in life.
I was about to comment that line 🤣
@@AP-pm9qy yeah I thought same, we can fix any problem in our life unless it is death
Meemaw is so sweet man, she’s a cool grandma.
except when she breaks the law every couple of episodes.
AA WW women bot men!
She’s also a gilf
Yeah, she’s awesome! One of my favorites!
Yup
I love that Connie is willing to acknowledge social pressures and give supportive commentary rather than ignorantly dictate
I love Georgie’s 1:19 “I’ve been a delight”
This is what happens when you don't let your kids grow. She's crying over something that if you were an approachable parent she would come to you first. Mary could have taught her shaving and had a bonding moment with her child, instead she tried to control her behaviour.
Good thing her granny is there
Umm, George howls about squandered money, thus Mary seeks to buy clothes that have wide ranging useful value. Sadly the clothes companies/retailers back then, similar to today, produce/sell junk that they know doesn't comply with school dress codes.
@@davidhoffman1278 I was referring to the shaving of legs. But both skirts can be worn the same way and the shorter skirt was made of a thicker fabric which means it might last longer.
Mean while sheldon got a computer, books, trains and bow ties.
@@LadyCheshire95 It’s true, Sheldon had everything handed to him growing up, which made him unable to function as an adult.
@@davidhoffman1278 Mary's objection to the skirt is that's it's too short to be worn to school and it isn't enough value in it for "weekend wear only" but since she is the one relegating it to weekends ... this isn't a fair point. Recall, that how durable the skirt is or isn't, is NOT mentioned. Missy isn't always in hard wearing work clothes that last forever and you can do gardening in, so FASHION is allowed ... just not short-ish pencil skirts (BTW this skirt isn't that short , especially when you consider what hemlines were COMMON In the 60s when Mary was young!). Missy is probably right when she says skirts like that are COMMON in her school, but her mom doesn't care about this, the unfairness of dress codes, if it's out of dates-ness or applied fairly ... nope she LIKES the dress code agrees with it and enforces it like a nun teaching Catholic school. Controlling is the correct assessment. Depressingly, their mothers are often the first people to enforce the patriarchy and it's attitudes on females bodies and how and why they can show it on a girl. This is what's happening here.
Seeing Georgie being a good big brother will never fail to warm my heart
That outfit Mary made her wear is cool now lol. Soft girl / cottage core.
Yeah it’s super cute lol
I love it lol
@Christopher Bingham Because it didn’t suit her, that’s not something Missy would want to wear. Mary forced her to wear something conservative, something that my mom would have forced me to wear.
At the age of 12-14 around Missy’s age you don’t wear something that your parents think is cool. You want to be able to express yourself and with a strict religious parent like Mary that’s almost entirely impossible.
Aww Missy ❤️ My heart immediately broke when Connie opened the door.
It's great that she has a grandma like this. What's sad is that if she decided to go to Mary instead of Meemaw she would probably scold her for wearing a skirt and shaving legs rather than just comfort her
Yeah, that's exactly how those religious fanatics/kooks are too!
@@triple-dsales1418 not true. I am a Christian and have been raised in a Christian community but none of my elders have ever acted like Mary. I grew up learning to love others and be true to myself. I learned to be kind and not judgemental. There are a lot of Christians like Mary I guess but none that I have ever encountered.🤷🏽♀️
@@triple-dsales1418 my mom would too and she is not even religious.... She would be mad, scream then give a lecture, then give give silent treatment for 15 min.... And then get worried, then give pity eyes and then collapse into tooo muchh loveee for meeee 🤦🤦🤦
Why are mother's so crazy ???
I bet my daughter also is going to have thoughts like that on me too 😂 ...
@@triple-dsales1418 My mother's not religious but that's exactly how she would have reacted had one of my sisters done this in middle school. My aunt on the other hand is super religious and also would have reacted similar to Meemaw in this situation. No need to be so prejudice.
@@georgianath9991 of course religion is not the only factor in this. There are plenty religious and non-religious ppl that would react either like Meemaw or Mary. Alas, in my personal experience it happens often in religious environment. But once again - behind every decision stands an individual person
Meemaw is the grandma I want to be as a mother.
That’s our girl!!!(wearing that skirt to school)It’s just like that time with her trying out for baseball! Don’t worry Missy, Meemaw is right!! N you are stronger than them!!
If you cry becuase people said mean things to you, you aren't that strong. L0L She should toughen up.
One thing I love about Missy. No matter how tough things get, she lands back on her feet. She's like a cat.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Missy's hair flip was my favourite part of the video! She's awesome!
That caught me off guard
I totally use to do this😂😂 my mom hated skinny jeans when they first became a trend, I’d change my clothes at school until she found out lmaooo
How did she find out?
@@sarahk7120 i told her
@@Karen.Kunt69 🤣
Haha I did that with my mom and flare leg pants :)
She looked sweet in the dress she wore before she changed into a skirt in school....
She's pretty in skirt too
The dress looked quite decent. If she just took off her sweater and changed her hairstyle to something like a tall ponytail or a bow, it would have looked good too.
I think it just wasn't her style or type of clothes she likes. But missy looks good at everything
@@veronicaespinola7304 yesss i agree soo much
@@delmicortave maybe but here she just seemed she wanted to wear it because others did....
Often times we associate our style to what is trendy with others and end up really not knowing what out style really is .....
Anyway she is just lovely child ... She will look good is anything ....
Meema: "Did somebody die"
Missy: "No"
Meema: "Then we can fix it".
Should be "Did somebody die? Because we can fix it"
young missy looks more and more like adult missy from tbbt, that's great cos children in their teen ages can grow up and change a lot not the way we expected them to look
Finally someone I can agree with.
She's more and more like a woman (and I know she's still a teen of 14 years old).
You're right, nowdays teens are growing up faster than we can expect and looking earlier like adults.
@Christopher Bingham we had completely different version of amy's mother both in TBBT - after that 2 different mee maws in different shows is nothing :)
Annie Potts has aged so gracefully and beautiful, she make fine wine look like Kool-Aide.
It's not like she's wearing booty shorts! Then again, my Catholic school was incredibly strict when it came to clothes. All our jumpers AND skirts had to specifically be two inches below the knee. We also couldn't wear bright, colorful shoes. No pretty jackets either. No ankle socks. Not even hairties on our wrists- they either had to be in our hair or in our bags. No heavy makeup, and boys couldn't grow their hair past their ears! Hell, we even had to tuck in our shirts during gym! The religious' standards are not only high, they're strict and overbearing. If you don't cut kids some slack (I for one thought Missy's new skirt should've been perfectly acceptable; it's not too see-through OR too high), then they're almost guaranteed to go to extremes.
Did they ban creativity?
Georgie is really handsome. Missy is so stunning. and meemaw is just iconic.
“Did somebody die?” “Then we can fix it”
Well I don't understand this. Mary is very critical about the length of the skirt but she herself wears short dresses in big bang theory. 😅
I'm guessing it's because of her age, like she thinks Missy's too young to wear skirts that length.
@@Ailumer Fair point. But Mary is too much to handle most of the times. She behaves this way with Missy and Georgie. And let's Sheldon get away with everything.
Yeah I found that a bit odd too...
@@rev_rock4616 she didn't let Sheldon get away with everything :/ what are you talking about
@@Gamingworld-xf6mi oh common, she is complaining about the prices but she got him a computer, she was never there for Missy or Georgie, she never understood what Missy was going through but made her apologize to Sheldon. Being smart doesn't mean you get to be treated better than your siblings.
Ah! Georgie is actually reading the papers?
Why not ? 🤷♂️

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's inevitable that we turn into our parents, but seeing as they are the ones whose genes we carry and the ones who raise us, the chances against it are not good.
With the pincer attack via genes AND upbringing, they get you by both 'Nature' AND 'Nurture'.
Poor Missy. All she wants is to be cool and it backfired because her mom won’t let her shave her legs. People don’t take girl bullying seriously but it’s worse with girls because they know how to get inside your head and make you think you’re the problem. Which leads to disastrous results, as seen here. At least Missy can count on Meemaw to help. I’d say that Mary would’ve scolded her and not listened, but everyone else already pointed that out. Though you’d think since Mary was a girl herself once, she’d be able to better understand what Missy’s going through.
❤ Meemaw
"You can't let them win"
That sentence is beautiful 🥺💜
Wow, that brought me back! Similar thing happened to me because my mother didn't allow me to shave my legs. I was probably the same age Missy was when kids started to notice, and I got tired of being asked why my legs were hairy. So one day I snuck into a bag of bic razors my mom had and shaved my legs in the shower. I DID use soap since the shaving cream was in my mom's bathroom.
Solved my school problem! But I had to hide the fact I was shaving from my mom by immediately throwing on sweats or pajama pants when I got home.😄
@Christopher Bingham What were my mom and Mary doing? Why didn't Mary let Missy shave her legs?
I have no idea what my mother's reasoning was...when she finally caught me (because I got complacent and forgot to hide my legs) she asked, "Have you been shaving your legs?" I nodded, and literally nothing else was said about it. 😄
@Christopher Bingham I do agree that there was an element of not wanting me to grow up too fast and getting unwanted attention from maybe boys. I cant say I buy the "Find out who your real friends are" explanation. My friends, beyond constantly asking about my legs and inquiring why I wasn't allowed, never really treated me bad.
People who WEREN'T my friends however were relentless, and to someone who at the time 12/13, that got mentally and emotionally exhausting.
Not wanting me to cut myself shaving could have been solved by training me how to shave.
At my age now it's not a big deal, but to a teen it was incredibly frustrating!
@Christopher Bingham Your going to cut your legs when you shave regardless there are ways to prevent this though. Instead of scolding and protecting Missy, Mary should have talked to her how to shave her legs.
In the end of the day Missy shaving her legs should be Missy’s choice not her Mom’s. There is a huge difference between protective and overbearing.
Kids grow up so fast 😰
Sheldon didn't grow that much yet so you have time before he becomes a young man :)
But I agree about Missy 😍
@@heresmyunnamedchannel sheldon's voice is grown tho! I was really suprised but then again I wasnt able to see the last season.
@@drdre2641 yes of course, his voice is changing little by little but it's not done
@@drdre2641 but on the other hand, Missy is done with her puberty, growth spurt…
What I don’t understand is how was her leg hair not an issue in the white flower print skirt, but magically became one with the like 4 inch shorter skirt?
Female logic.
Because no one looks at the flower skirt, it doesn't jump out to you to look at her skirt or her legs
What I found odder is that we could see her legs and could see no leg hair.
She looks conservative in her floral skirt and no one pays attention to that. When you look in with the crowd people notice other things.
The skirt makes your legs look much more prominent. Also when you wear like this in school people will notice you, more often (especially among fellow girls) in a critical way.
3:20 I’ve had practice on Sheldon… he’s a fragile boy
honestly the skirt her mom chose for her is cool as well, plus I find her more attractive with it...
No, it wasn't. It looked like she was wearing her Mother's clothes.
@@rachelace6102 Which is great. Her mother dressed appropriately.
I feel safe that Mary rolled up her skirts at that age too. George isn't the kind to marry for intellect.
One day i'm going to actually start watching this show instead of just all these clips lol
Middle school girls are the cruelest
The episodes with Missy on BBT are always a standout for me. So nice to see their origins. She's completely the opposite of Sheldon in so many ways but they're twins.
Girls really are this mean to each other. I have two daughters, six years apart. 'Nuff said?
What people don’t understand is that Sheldon has a form of spectrum autism so even though the show never said it. In Big Bang Theory it was suggested. I have a brilliant Dr who is like that.
Been there, honey. My mother didn't need to shave, so I didn't need to either. That's what happens when your morher doesn't want to help you grow up.
I always wonder what the hell people do with razors on tv, ive never, ever cut myself shaving!
You literally have to try and get into the mess she did 😅
Mee Maw: Those b******s
Missy: Thank you
Is my relationship with my mom lol
Georgie and MeeMaw are the best character on the show.
You spelled Missy and George Sr. wrong!!!

Missy is growing up so fast 💨
aww I love this moment with Missy and Meemaw
And thats on strict parents, her kids don’t go to her on those situations they go to the grandma
No doubt she would get a lot of dates dressed like that.
Anyone else feel like, that without MeeMaw Missy would end up like Carrie?
@Christopher Bingham Its a play/movie. A young teen raised by an extremely religious mother gets mocked at school after starting her period and not understanding what is happening. Students mock her relentlessly and she ends up going on a supernatural rampage.
@Christopher Bingham Its pretty old, Classic horror movie material.
Ok that was her fault for not teaching her
I remember the first time I shaved. I did the same since it was all peer pressure. I used to wear skirts but the girls in my 5th grade class said that my legs were hairy. The only thing is that I used my Dad's razor instead since I couldn't find my mom's.
Meemaw is great, but can we please appreciate how awesome of a big brother Georgie is? 😀
Missy has grown so much!!!!!
I think Georgie grows up to be Matthew McConaughey.
There growing up fast it's weird to look at the first 3 seasons then look at season 5
u know whats weird? i actually really like this series but i can't stand bbt
I was not expecting it to go this route. While I like this, I think I would have preferred a story line where the school made her change, hear me out, and when Mary finds out about it she comes to he daughter’s defense. Because at the end of the day she does love her, even if she doesn’t agree with or understand Missy.
meemaw is really cool
Telling her not to wear it to school isn't gonna stop her from wearing it to school.
Gosh, poor Missy. I had a similar experience when I was her age with the hairy legs thing. I begged my mom to let me shave my legs. Luckily she is pretty easy going and let me lol.
I can empathize with Missy. Middle school I was in a school uniform that required the girls to wear skirts. One day I had a HUGE cut on my leg and it bleed for a few days. I had been in a hurry shaving my legs that morning getting ready for school. Needless to say I wore pants the rest of the school year under my uniform. The school principal even asked me why I wore pants under my skirt in 80 degree weather. How could I tell him I had this huge scab with leg hair all over it!
I've seen shorter skirts and I've worn shorter skirts with a pair of leggings underneath
I love this show ! Meemaw is the kind of grandma everyone should have.
We all need a grandma like memaw
Did somebody die
No
Then we can fix it
Life lesson right there.
What isthe outro music
😂😅
According to Shazam it’s “La Misión De Jaguar” by Reeling Raccoon.
Some garbage
I shaved my legs and I only used water and I'm a boy my legs had spots on after 😂
Missy's 1st outfit looks so cool though. 😅
Typical Mean Girls
Yep they have em in every high school.
Love MeeMaw and Georgie!
A bodybuilder buddy of mine in college did his first show and had to shave for the first time. Apparently women know just how sensitive the back of the knee is, but guys don’t. Along with the back of his knees and both his legs, he honestly looked like someone had locked him and just his legs in a cage with a Ferrell cat
I need a grandma like MeeMaw
Mary needs to lighten up !
Missy gave them too much importance than they deserve in High school; she should have confidently told them "I'm what I'm so hit the road ladies"; nice meemaw grandma who understands her pain - sjsrana
If she doesnt respect her mother ,she as well hit the streets and live there.Damn american's lack of morality and disrespect towards parents still astounds me.
Are you crazy !??? In teenage , public opinion is a what matters . She is a teen not 30 that she will flaunt hairy legs / hairy arms …. 😝 I am 30 , I know now 😉
@@shaikhussain7613 her mother wasn't allowing her to dress how she wanted that's why she went against it, keep your conservative ideas away from the children and their wishes you oldie
You are dumb. She not in high school. She in middle school. And physical appearance is important at that age for many girls.
@@shaikhussain7613 Respect is earned, not an entitlement. Don't respect your kids you won't get any real respect in return. You are an idiot. You also don't get to assume what is moral and not.
bruh i thought something way worse happened i was about to cry 😭😭
So listening to Mary saying you need to wear tights. 😶 maybe she knew something
Gee, Missy should’ve listened to Mary about wearing tights.
I wonder what she shaved with though🤔
Dry-shaving will really mess up your legs. But at that age kids heal fast.
Yeah, especially since tights were EXTREMELY popular in the early-to-mid-90s.
The kids growing up so fast in the show!
I honestly think missy could easily beat up anyone who bullies her, she has the potential and she even beat up a guy at baseball, but the problem is there can be too many ppl opposing her which is not easy for her to handle
@Christopher Bingham yaya ik, it would be cool if she beat up another girl, when she beat up that baseball guy its either she is pretty strong or that guy is damn weak!, they should actually film a scene of her beating someone up
@Christopher Bingham i get u i get u i do believe missy is kinda strong, they should really make a scene of her beating a girl up u know how epic that would be
@Christopher Bingham an example of that is when Paige punched sheldon that was an unexpected scene! Paige could be as strong as missy
@Christopher Bingham well I mean in that episode where she Sheldon and missy go to the mall she looks like a bad strong girl somehow lol, but it would have been cool if Sheldon actually tried fighting back to her a boy vs girl fight in the show would be cool
@Christopher Bingham for me that depends id prolly support both of them lol unless its sheldon
they grow up so fast...
"Did somebody die?"
"No..."
"Then we can fix it..."
We DID this! I was lucky with short arms, my poor sister with fingertips way down her thighs 😊
And either changed or rolled the waistband...
missy looks really nice in her short skirt
One of the things that they have added to Georgie's character that I really like is the fact he follows the news. We've seen him both reading a newspaper, and watching it on television.
I wish more people would do that. Especially the ones that always complain about it.
I remember when my mom finally let me wear shorts & shave but only up to my knees 🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 but honestly thankfully no one ever made of my hairy legs! 🤷♀️ Thank God
My school had a dress code of wearing some type of blue pants, but when I wore a pair that were a little skinny I got in trouble. It was ridiculous considering they were blue and I wore a belt like requested. Don’t see anything wrong with slim clothing🙄🙄
It's not fair for girls who are tall for their age
Ha ha ha ha,all those friggin band aids!!!!! I busted out laughing when I saw that part. Which was good, because her crying at the door tugged on my heart a bit. She is such a great actress.
Not being able to cry for a scene is one thing that bugs the hell out of me from actors. I hope she continues acting well after this show has run its course.
And she has a striking resemblance to her adult counterpart. Casting agent did a great job.
Yo hi mentioned war in Bosnia
yeah sheldon's nanna is penny
fighting like serbs and sroats in bosnia lmaooo
Sheldon's mother in this series is just my next door neighbor when I first moved to Texas. She when to Church 4 times a week and twice on Sunday. She had 2 sons and no matter how much they "just wanted to be normal"
Sorry, I hit the send. His first girlfriend and he had sex on their first date. And, lots of times after. When he went off to college his mother told me she hoped "no girl got herself pregnant". Pointing out that can't happen didn't work. In other just like the mother in Young Sheldon both my neighbor and Mary are & judgemental fights/fought with the school. The show brings back both funny and tragic memories of my old house. Lucky I have no neighbors that judge people by how and who they are. Peace reigns here. One last thing: she had a dog killed in her front yard because he did what dogs do. Then complained that there was a dead dog in her yard. We really would live boring lives if we didn't have a few crazies mixed in.
Mawmaw is the best
So that’s where j cole got his sample from
Missy stay your course, with Meemaws guidance you will be glad you did. 👍
Holy they have grown so much
Missy's hilarious!
Continuity error: In the shop, her fingertips hang down past the skirt, but in the school bathroom, the skirt hangs lower than her fingers do.
She looks like Dora the explorer
Who? Missy?
Hey I'm buying the dress! " I love you more!" HEHEH hear that
