It's so much easier to cut violent or abusive people out of your life. Then used to encourage boyfriends to be daring with their Valentine present for their girlfriend and surprise her instead of just chocolate every year. Next it was for boys who were too shy to even hold hands or give a girl a hug without asking for permission for everything first. That way, the hug felt more natural instead of being compelled into giving consent. Point is, this advice isn't applicable to ALL situations, but in CERTAIN situations such as this, it's better for the guy to bang, dump, and then run rather than getting friendzone off the bat. Yes, I know it sounds wrong when I put it that way, but that is the logic for some guys.
