Just bring a friend, any class can find way to help once understand mechanics, makes it cake walk. Had resto drood hots/inervate, ele sham mana totem extra dps, lock cookies/rain fire ..... especially 60-64. After 10+ run solo boring as .... ps duo range can solo boss same way agro trading losing his range attack on ramp
I started doing this at level 61 and it works well I did change some stuff though. The pack in the back right from where you jump up I agro while entering the room with a counterspell and then blink and jump up, running into the corner as I iceblock (this stops the adds from trying to hit you). For the damage phase I walk off the ledge walking at the wall(the mobs dont come to you til you hit the floor giving you more time) then I blink under the bridge/LOS of the boss so you don't have to worry about where he is to do damage reducing your downtime phases. By casting blizzards where they go up and down onto the ledge you get to do damage to them as they are running away and as they turn the corner and come back at you, this lets you get 3 full rank blizzards with every tick hitting every mob and by flamestriking the corner they are in it's full duration. By being under the bridge the Rain of Fire won't get cast on you. The mobs see you as out of line of sight under there so all you have to worry about is the cripple but as a gnome you can let them cast and just racial it. hope this helps someone cheers.

Great video - One recommendation I have is throwing in a rank1 arcane missles every so often to fish for a clear cast. Since it's a channeled spell, you don't need to let it fully cast. Just cast and side step to interupt.
nice video, one thing I'll say is that the huge amount of dropped frames due to the way Blizzard is rendered, where *each* mob spawns a set of icicles raining down on it, is doing a serious number on your playability. Have you looked into maybe lowering the particle settings and see if that helps? It's basically a slideshow.
@@Ghost-fe1vp yea there is a command that lets u increase/decrease the regularity of the visual effect that blizzard or other aoe spells do. It could probably help a bit.

For anyone wanting to do this, spirit is so much better than mp/5 as you spend a lot of time not casting. Especially if you pick up the 30% mana regenerating in combat talent in arcane tree. Making it 60% spirit regen with mage armor.
What level do you recommending starting this at? Also, I just recently hit level 52 on my mage, you have any recommendations on good aoe grinding spots after ZF? I've been spoiled by no competition on my grinding and open world grinding seems so lackluster now after doing ZF lol.

Any tricks to reset him without resetting the mobs? 63 mage currently. - Edit: I was just on the ledge as the mobs were kiting around and one mob near the staircase somehow social agro'd the boss? what? I've done 10+ solo's never happened once? HOW? - This was when the mobs were already 50% health or less I was in kill phase for a while.
For me as a make UD (not sure it makes a difference) what made getting the mobs safely around the corner 99% reliable was as you’re corralling them in the hall be closer to the opposite side of the jump up. Then jump up a little sooner and edge around the corner on the ledge more into the hall. Doing this half the time it is safe without even using ice block.
Hi Guys, got a question: I did SP solo as lvl65 mage. The first completed run the mobs gave around 1.5k - 2k XP (unrested). Next two runs the same mobs, same strat, gave only around 250 - 400 XP. Anyone got an idea why? Thx in advance.
You probably let the mobs go too long without getting hit. If you don't hit them every 30 seconds their exp will be reduced based on the remaining health
For anyone else having this problem, apparently there is also a thing where if you die in the dungeon and go again(same dungeon ID), the mobs will give 2-3 times less xp.
Where you jump up, why not blizzard there? get them to go back into it, then jump back up and blizzard again, then jump down and blizz again, instead of going across the room
Some races have an easier time. I also sometimes have to spam attempts to get up. Costs me a run every so often, but I also get greedy. Troll, and undead have the easiest time it seems.
You get the xp that of what the hp was at from when u started to kill it. So if u had it at 80% be for your kill phase you only get about 80%. As far as for me it seems it was like about 1 min of no damage. As long as you damage the mobs in between the boss patrols it should be fine. Occasionally you'll get like 90% from a few.
If you damaged mobs and then died and started again without resetting you will nerf the xp on the mobs. Additionally if you go too long without doing any damage to the mob that also gives less xp

@@kevinhales457 yeah best thing imo is if you are low on mana don’t modify your routine at all just substitute in rank 1s instead of max rank. Keeps the xp always engaged and good chance to proc clear casts for that max blast.
when u get within flamestrike range mobs can do the rain of fire on u and break the stack or cast cripple..i only use flamestrike when pom is up... also flamestrike when u do get it off they will sometmies lose blizz slow and just make things messy.. if u can pull it off more power to u tho
@@kklap3219 this is true bc I had to take a work call and juggled the mobs for a few minutes and only got credit for regular mobs (200-300 xp each). I believe the timeframe is more like 30-45 seconds without damaging the mob but I could be mistaken. Now if i could only jump on the ledge in the beginning after IB and only get 1 mob hitting me that would be great...i always have at least 2-3 wailing on me
i scuffed the pull a bit in this vid also im 66 as opposed to lower lvls u get a lot more there are many vids about variations of this pull the really good mages can get 400-500k xp/hr 350 is pretty middle of the pack

Great video! One thing that worked for me in mara with 300+ pulls is to disable The dmg numbers. FPS dident drop nearly as bad.
Yeah I had to turn off numbers in Mara, but was completely fine here to keep numbers on.

Search up Maraudon 52+ Otherways it's open world in WPL killing undeads on the farms
Wpl is great if u manage to pull dalsons tear without dying to fears
@@kklap3219 Yeah dalsons tear is what I started doing, I've gotten the pulls pretty down pat without getting feared now.
Its a lot easier to keep the mobs behind the ramp.. You can blizzards 4 times before getting to the wall....

Did they nerf the xp on this? I just did a full clear and got 3% of my bar at level 62 with full rested, I was getting considerably more last week.

Start it at level 62 not 60. Mobs are 63and 64 so you'll get a tonne of resists

Solo slave pens is faster for a mage. More repetitive, boring, less overall reputation and gear tho, so it is still a choice to make
