Last week I hired a SUP for my first attempt, but was a bit annoyed to get a text saying due to high winds at the coast, all kayak / SUP rentals had been cancelled. I’ve been surfing for over 12 years if you carry a kayak paddle double-sided paddle with you strap to your bored you could always sit down and kayak to safety
When you go out go out against the wind. It makes coming home much easier. However, occasionally the wind will change and you'll have countervailing winds in both directions. It's a great sport that keeps you fit. I'll be out paddling in Miami beach tomorrow.
I absolutely loved my 1st attempt at paddle boarding but this video definitely showed me how to much safer as I improve at my newfound love! Mahalo!🤙🏾

Was the paddle being used in the correct direction? Remember the blade is to be sloping away from you. Common mistake.
This is the thing may people do it at sea when you should be doing it at a lake or a slow flowing river that you can touch the bottom

What about taking your cell phone with a waterproof case? It wouldn't hurt at all.

It depends, some are manual pull. Some are automatic.
