14:20 Ron Dennis had the Mp4-4's repainted before EVERY race. They never entered the tracks gates with a single scratch or paint blemish. Building it pristine would be a good representation of this beautiful machine.

Because Ron demanded such thin light weight paint, they often looked very 2nd hand by the the end of Sunday afternoon. Great point though, your feedback and input is very welcomed, hope you enjoy this video and our channel. Thanks for watching.

@@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne Makes sense, Paint is heavy. Would be cool to add exhaust soot and stuff like that.

My wife bought me one of those (with extra transfers) for Christmas 😁. As you probably know the Marlboro decals had to be purchased separately but they are included in my kit. FYI the recent Lotus 72D suffered similarly, I had to buy the JPS transfers as extras. The driver costs about 33% of the kit price.

Thank you for your info. Yes, tobacco sponsorship decals have been omitted from kits for a long time and 3rd party is needed if you want the authentic look. The driver is pricey as it is low production cast resin.

Much better than that Italeri kit you showed earlier.

Not only did Senna win in '88, it was his first F1 championship, first year with the McLaren team, and Honda's first year with McLaren. And the last year of turbo engines (at the time) until the 2014 hybrids.

How difficult are these to assemble for an intermediate builder? I have been building 1/24 kits for years.

The difficulty is not much greater than 1/24 scale. The difference is the larger size of the project and higher number of parts. F1 kits in general are more difficult due to the complex engineering to get the cowlings and engine to fit square.

Thanks. I use Tamiya rattle cans as I have not yet graduated to air brush painting. What primer color would you recommend for this kit? I have both Tamiya Grey primer and Tamiya White primer.

White primer would be best for the white base.
