- In this video I discuss about the common misconceptions about a dishwasher that are prevalent in an Indian household. It is a highly convenient appliance and most people are hesitant to purchase it just because they have some preformed notions.

Nice video, dishwasher needed more than ever in Covid 19 era
The bottom line is once one gets used to the hygeine level of the utensils washed in the dishwasher ,one cant imagine doing without it.
Quantam powerball has rinse in it, so even if you get a rinse aid light on your dishwasher, you dont need to add, as the finish power ball already has that in it
Well explained. I have also got a reservation for keeping it over the washing machine. I also use the same brand of dishwaser for last 4 yrs. I use to clean it and put it inside the dishwasher as because I think that if you do not clean, you have to use dishwasher cleaner every month. I don't know may be this is my misconception. The other problems are the availability of dishwasher detergent, rinse aid, salt and the cleaners in offline stores. All of these are very costly. One thing is very good that you don't have to depend upon your maids monopoly, if she don't come you may easily use it. Specially in this pandemic it would be very difficult for us to clean all the utensils by our oun as we stopped her from entering our house.

You could try giving your aluminium cookers a scrub down with wire scrub before putting them into the dishwasher. Very encouraging video for all our Indian friends.Definitely a lot of time , water and stress saved!super.

I also have been using from last two years, it's really very very useful. Some ladies say...it's double work...to rinse & put it in the machine, for such people ..my question is...how do they manage to keep the used vessels till the maid comes? Won't they rinse n store for the servant to come n clean? So what is the big deal...in any case we r rinsing...but remember we r getting the vessels very hygienically cleaned n coming out....

Lol.. looks like you never make real Indian good. For maids we don't need to give them cleaned utensils. We just need make sure utensils are not dry so that it will be easy for maid to clean properly. May be your maid is too lazy to clean utensils if the gravy is stuck to the utensils.

Putting it on top of the washer is a really good idea in space saving. Practical (connections etc) problems, if any?
Good in terms of space saving. But it is not Suggestible.
A concrete slab added between a front loading WM and the Dishwasher on top can pretty much solve the space saving issue but putting it up straight on top of the WM,in my opinion is quite a risk.
Dangerous, that too if ur washing machine wobble due to load or some other reason, it can b a disaster
It's not recommended to put dishwasher on Washing Machine.. Washing Machine vibrates heavily during dry cycle...
Chances of Dishwasher malfunction is high...

Yes even heavily soiled cooker will get cleaned. Any leftover food particles should be removed. Though they get caught in the filter but you'll have to clean the filter frequently.

I have an LG front load 8 kg/6 kg washer/dryer. The dishwasher fits perfectly on top.

Yes absolutely, the user manual of the wahng machine will have instructions on keeping other appliances on top. Dishwasher can be safely placed on top. As far as water drainage is concerned, both of them have separate outlet pipes and you can put both inside the drain.

How about the waste water and the dirt get drain its stay in the machine or its drain out same like washing machine?
It has a filter inside which catches all the food debris. You need to clean it once a month or as per the requirement.
The water completely drains out, like the waahing machine. You won't have any water remaining inside. If you keep dirty vessels with curry leaves, rice, tea etc., you'll need to wash the filter (like the lint filter in washing machines)

Yes it cleans burnt utensils also. If extremely burnt I would suggest that you soak them in water for some time and then place in dishwasher.

There are specific instructions in the user manual of both the products on placing other items on top. This is perfectly fine and advisable by the manufacturer. You need to check your appliance manual. Although all front-loads are made to bear heavy weight more than their own.. Dishwasher is still pretty lightweight in comparison to a washing machine.

In India i feel many respected maid women & their families are dependent by doing daily chores at people Houses & if we all start buying appliances which will result in no income for them which i feel shouldn't be happening. Least we can do is not take away their income. In developed countries it's working coz the cost of keeping a maid is too high & finding one is difficult. Thank you 🙏🏾🇮🇳
I do agree about this but sometimes when house help is not coming for weeks due to her personal reasons or they are not cleaning the way we want i.e hygienically then don't you think we need to take a decision for ourselves.. We all know very well How much problem we ladies face if one day our house help is absent and moreover how much they are demanding for just utensil wash.
And how to help them in other ways I know very well and I am doing that. Person should have empathy , sympathy and concern for other. Having or not having a dishwasher doesn't matter ..Sorry If I m wrong anywhere ..

Yes she will damage the washing machine one day iF she doesn't bring down that dishwasher soon.
Dishwashers are perfectly fine to be placed on any other appliance. It is the other appliance which needs to support and which you can find in the user manual of that appliance, e.g. washing machine.
Bosch dishwasher user manual specifically talks about the placement on other appliances and makes it perfectly suitable if the other appliance supports its weight.
We did extensive research ourselves before purchasing the dishwasher.

Before even seeing this video I have booked a semi Integrated Bosch Washing machine.Mam I have 3 questions, 1 you have kept the Dishwasher above the washing machine was it installed that way from the beginning?As when Bosch service man came for PreDeliver inspection he advised to have a ground touch and not to keep above Wm. Secondly in the video with what program did you give the bigger one ? Thirdly how long does the soap cake cost, how many washes it make and where do we get it. Thanks alot. Honestly from aperson using dishwasher for past 25 years in UK. Putting dishes with particles of food will eventually block your dishwasher drain....
Unless in india you have super wide drainage systems!
Once or twice it probably wont but over time it will start clogging the drain.
Ask anyone in UK or USA using dishwashers!

Aluminium tends to oxidize in dishwasher.
Don't place aluminium utensils like cookers and other aluminium woks in dishwashers

Quite informative. One suggestion to add stacking kit with sturdy stand for dishwasher stacked over top load WM. Also those finish tablets are not value for money option if compared with detergent (any brand). Rinse aid is not needed if you using finish tablets shown.

Really an awesome videos clear most of the queries but had a one last small query if we try and use normal available liquid soap like VIM etc what is the problem if more foam is generated because we tried same and didn't seem to be a problem but since you specifically mentioned so thought to ask and clear my doubt.
It is not recommended to use a regular dishwashing liquid as it generates lot of foam which might hinder the operation of the dishwasher and might also leave residues in the end. Just like you should not use top-load detergent in front-load washing machine.

Go for Prismat dishwashing powder its cheap but effective on utensils it cost u arnd 200 per kg & shiner liquid 170.Can get it in Mumbai. Ms Kumar soaps are d distributer. For inq.call 022-243-08360/022-243-70385 Im using it for last 8 years fr my Simense machine.

Ma'am, can you please tell me what is the washing machine brand that you are having, as I recently went to checkout front load washer and dishwasher, where they said that each one of them weigh about 75+ kgs and hence it is not advisable to stack them the way you have done. In addition, they said a washing machine would have lots of vibration and has a chance that the dishwasher might fall down in that case.
I am using Bosch dishwasher from last 2 years. Dishwasher is not made for alluminium n nonstick cookware, initially it may clean your alluminium n nonstick cookware but slowly you will face several problems in machine. And in india the washing bar cake is very costly so you can use finish detergent, it's way too cheaper. And if you are using bar then you need not to use rinse aid or salt, the bar cake has all 3 ingredients.
