    Just an update, over a year later. I lowered mine 25mm and it was absolutely fine. No extra tyre wear, in fact, my tyres worn perfectly even.
    Today i have raised the suspension up to standard, then another 20mm again. Reason being is there are many floods in my area, so i want to be clear 👌

    Hello! Many thanks for such a good idea! Could you please prompt if there's a chance to make a car softer on Comfort mode?

    • @_LuisS
      @_LuisS  2 роки тому

      Comfort mode is pretty soft. In my opinion.
      But I guess if you want it to be softer you could try to do the opposite (subtract X mm for the car to think it's lower, therefore will sit higher than normal and become softer).
      I've never tried it. So I don't know if it'll work. Please do your research first about that.

    • @ApolloniumUranius
      @ApolloniumUranius 2 роки тому

      @@_LuisS agree, think there's gonna be a big research and report ;-) found also that reallyy many Cayennes, Touagers and Q7's has stiffen suspension after some time, so there has to be a solution

    • @_LuisS

      @@ApolloniumUranius I wasn't even aware of that.
      Mine is very soft in comfort even after I lowered it. I get it why people like it. But for me it's too soft. Mine is in dynamic all the time.

    Hi friend...do you know how low you can go with vcds? I still have a reasonably big arch gap and want to go lower? Many thanks

    • @_LuisS
      @_LuisS  2 місяці тому +1

      I've heard of people going as low as 25mm.
      Its a matter of trial and error, because any value that you input that's out of range, meaning going too low, that value won't be accepted.
      Just don't forget that going lower than 17mm will require a wheel alignment to prevent premature tyre wear.

    Great explanation! I was wondering how much is reduced ride quality (comfort) after lowering?

    • @_LuisS
      @_LuisS  Рік тому +1

      Hello Dorian. I only lowered it a max of 15mm,which isn't much.
      I keep it always in dynamic and you do feel the ride is a bit firmer. But only in dynamic.
      Comfort or auto are still very comfortable and suspension is very relaxed comparing to dynamic.

    Hello Luis! I have done exactly like you did and everithing seems good. I had exacly the same measures and I put exactly like you did. After it seems a little high and I tried to do it again but with new measures but it says invalid and thats it. Can I do it again to lower more or not. What I am doing wrong?

    • @_LuisS
      @_LuisS  2 роки тому

      Hello Martin. Sorry for the delayed response!
      Standard measurements are 449mm front and 465mm rear.
      Did you have these before you changed them?
      And also make sure you're adding, in mm, the amount you want to lower it.
      If the new values were invalid it's because you went over the range it allows you to lower it.
      I would put everything to standard and then try again.
      Make sure you're going to security access and input the code before you start and then don't forget to go to channel 5 to save the process.
      And engine needs to be running too, with doors closed.

    What if you don’t have air suspension do you recommend any good coil springs?

    • @_LuisS
      @_LuisS  2 роки тому

      If you're looking for lowering springs or coilovers definitely something high end.
      Q7 is a very heavy car and something cheap might ruin the handling and even make it uncomfortable.
      Brands like Eibach, H&R or Bilstein in my opinion is what you should be browsing.

    • @_LuisS
      @_LuisS  Рік тому

      Hey man!
      I don't know for sure. But I think just like a car with standard suspension if you go too low you can damage control arms bushes, the same applies here.
      I also think it can cause premature wear to the bags of lowered too much!

    Looks nice man, i want to try it on my audi a6 c7.5 model
    I have a question?
    I read coments and u said ( it will be lower in all mods )
    If u put on comfort mode ( does it raise up?)
    And when u put on dynamic mode ( it will be lower )
    Or it will be the same comfort , dynamic, auto , always will be lower
    Thank you
    e.x for 12mm

    • @_LuisS
      @_LuisS  2 роки тому

      If I remember correctly the c7.5 is a bit more complex than the Q7. But also possible.
      And when you lower it, say 12mm, all modes will be 12mm lower. But in my opinion you'll only really see the difference in dynamic because the arch gap will be reduced.

    • @aunihill
      @aunihill 11 місяців тому +1

      I did this with my c7.5 2018 S6 and it worked great. Make sure you are parked on flat ground and measure from the ground to the center of the wheel well before you start to give yourself 4 all around good measurements.

    How low does the system allow you to drop it?

    • @_LuisS
      @_LuisS  Рік тому

      Not sure..
      I just wanted a subtil drop. But there's a post online somewhere where the guy lowered it 25mm.
      When doing this the car has to be in a flat surfice. If not car won't accept some values.
      And there's always the lowering links that gives the car a nice drop as well.

      Once you finish the process including going into channel 5 to save the process of lowering you just press the 'Done, Go back' button to close the module. Once that is done the enabling adjustment is disabled until you re-enter the security access code.

      @_LuisS  2 роки тому +1

      You need to make sure to go to channel 5 and change the value to 1.
      That way it'll save the change in previous channels.
      Also when lowering there's certain values that are not accepted, if you're trying to go too low.
      I only done 15mm max but you can go as low as 25mm. Try to stay under that and it should work.
