I have almost everything they put out. If I buy the Box set, I'll have it all. All I can say is that Peter Steele and the boys were one of the most underrated bands of all-time. R.I.P. Green man sorely missed.

I love Life is killing me it shows Type O's dark humor really well. Have you heard Anesthesia yet? I feel like you will love it. And if you like live performances check out Moon Wolf live, its fire

When you gonna listen to something from their first album, 1991's 'Slow, Deep & Hard', or its faux live 1992 companion piece, 'Origin of the Feces'??? Both albums sound NOTHING like their later material, with the vast majority of songs having a very NYC hardcore/thrash sound, interspersed with a heaping of slow doom metal elements and a bit of punk. 'Origin of the Feces' (its "live" record counterpart for 'Slow, Deep & Hard') is a hilariously fun, raucous album with a very strong dash of early 80s brit-punk musical aesthetics sprinkled in with the original's hardcore/thrash vibe, although it does eschew much of its predecessor's slower, doomier elements.
Songs like "Unsuccessfully Coping..." / "I know You're F--king Someone Else", Prelude to Agony", "Gravity", and "Xero Tolerance' / "Kill You Tonight" are all certified classics and definitely worth listen, especially since they sound so extremely different from their later music!
As a 20 year long Type O fan I would suggest checking out A dish best served coldly, How could she, Nettie, & Anesthesia from Life is Killing Me. I have a feeling you'd enjoy those quite a bit.
Good songs, but everyone passes over their debut album and Origin of the Feces. He's gotta get around to listening to some of that for the full Type O experience imo!
@@AndyWitmyer I've listened to everything they've released but I don't at all care for the first Album & I honestly don't know of anyone who legitimately does.
@@Psykostatik I do! I know lots of people who love their first two albums. Gotta expand your horizons, my man - and maybe find some friends who think outside the box. That having been said, their first debut records aren't by any means my favorite all time albums of theirs, but I think they're honestly pretty great when taken on their own terms, and represent a unique opportunity to gaze into what the band was originally built upon. To ignore their beginnings is to deny a great band's history. Plus, there are some legitimate bangers like "I Know You're F--ing Someone Else", "Gravity", "Prelude to Agony" and the like.

I grew up as a goth kid in Alabama 😂. There's not exaclty an abundance of interesting people around.
