@TheJoyoftheFaith Exactly he's the sort of fella I could have had a chat with, I remember here in Essex I look after an old Church from 1195, & in walks this old fella, so I get chatting & before long we talk about religion & his connection to this old Church then he tells me he was once the Catholic Bishop in these parts, we talk, one a Bishop one a novice but what we had in common was the faith, in life I love talking to folk I dont know, people high & low are just fascinating to talk with

And there’s plenty of saints up there that aren’t designated by the Catholic Church. I’m no longer going by that. Do you know about Corrie TenBoom? I say it, but she was not Catholic. My father, a convert to the Church, loved him, so that I grew up on Life is Worth Living. I was fortunate to hear him preach at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. I worshipped often at the Shrine. Bishop Sheen was the only one who was such a great speaker that he actually used the acoustics of that large church to enhance his sermon--all others tried to fight, to their dismay. I still love listening to him. Thank you for this channel.
This us awesome interview 40 days before his death. His answer to the women priesthood is very smart. I have not listened to anyone with such a wise answer.
I am not a Catholic but I love what Bishop Fulton J Sheen showed me in such a wise and gel the approach.. He was not all fire and brimstone. and even once in a while he made a joke at we all laughed about. He had a way of showing and telling you things that others may spend years and not leave you with a clue of what they wanted you to know. If I had been older, I would have spent quite a bit more time listening to this wise and learned man, and to the information he was always sharing to all that wanted to hear. I am now older then he was buy Still learning each time I find on of his sermons.
