I feel that the integration of eye tracking is a perfect addition to VR in general.
Yeah, that one horror game from Supermassive has a weeping angels segment where the creatures get closer if you blink. Really cool tech.
Absolutely, you play "Before your eyes" completely with your eyes. It is an amazing technology.
Had a lot of fun with Psvr1 even with it’s technical limitations. But jumping now to Psvr2 will be a huge upgrade can’t wait for my headset to arrive next week.
I had the first one too and I got the second one as soon as it came out and it's a million times better the headset is lighter, the image is sharp and clear with just one lead to plug in no messing about trying to get into the perfect position for the camera to track the headset and the controllers are no longer jittery everything just works perfectly. You're going to love it!
@@marksilgram80 true I absolutely love the Psvr2. The only thing I don’t like is how small the sweet spot is. For me finding it is easy but if I let other people play it takes them some time to find it.
No Man’s Sky just went on sale. What a coincidence. Great game in VR - so the sale price is a welcome auto-purchase.

I got it for 69.99 on day 1 and I thought it had a lot of potential and I've stuck through until now. You will not regret this purchase, believe me.

Star Wars Tales from the Galaxy's Edge, and the sequel are such fun VR games. I had the same awestruck moments as Dave. Bear McCreary, composer for God of War: Ragnarok, was one of the composers who worked on the game as well.
Also heard that in Switchback if you close your eyes (not in the "dont blink" area), in other words wimp out like I do, then voices start messing in your head - a kind of punishment for noping out, and If youve ever tried Dreadhalls - you know how simple sounds are terrifying.

On the experience being so visual, in COTM, I was climbing the Sunspear when I glanced back down and realized I was looking at the path I had just used to get to that point. You can stand (or hang) there and just gaze out at both the incredible views over those massive waterfalls, but also the previous areas that you wandered through as you got to this point. It was a moment of pure fascination for me. So very cool.
Longest 6 day wait of my life.
unfortunately I can't really use VR as i only have the use of one hand but i'm so excited for everyone else who gets to enjoy it :)

Lucky for you - may still be able to still use the psvr1 as the move controllers contain all the buttons. Now folks with just an eye have a bit more to say about missing out on the VR experience..
Have you seen the accessorise playstation said they will release. It was mentioned when they talked about grend trismo 7. Will that help?
Can't wait for mine to come, and that's from a huge Quest 2 fan.
Next week... next week I am going to experience it too. These last days go by soon slowly. Hehe

Really enjoyable vid! VR is all about immersion and I look forward to more of your opinions on future PS5 VR games! I completed Resident Evil 7 VR! It was incredible and to play something like that on VR2 would be fantastic!

Glad to hear that the PSVR2 is comfortable for people with big heads. That was one of my biggest problems with the original PSVR was how tight that thing felt on my head.
I could only wear it for so long before getting a headache from it squeezing my temples. I ended up using twist ties to help pull some of that pressure away from my head. It worked but it was annoying to do every time I put on and took off the headset.
Imagine if Horror Game creators place Shadowy Figures into your live world Camera view - Dave's reaction would be Priceless to record!!!

I preordered the CotM bundle with the charging station and will have it release day. I also have RE8 and No Man's Sky. Purchased Moss and the Star Wars game. I cannot wait
Honestly wish I could afford it, never got to experience VR on the ps4, so I'm even more eager to play it on ps5
Maybe you can save for it.If you dont buy it now you can buy it next year. You can maybe save for it till next year. I wish you you could.
Just keep an eye on the 2nd hand market, people will get sick and sell it the first week (in stead of putting some time in and training themselves. ;) )
Start saving now and then buy it used next year!
I've got my PSVR2 preordered, but I didn't get Horizon CotM because I'm holding out hope for a physical release. So my first game will be Resident Evil Village. I bought it last year and never played it. I just finished RE7 in PSVR1 recently, so this should be really good.

Not a single mention of cinematic mode?
What is the max IPD setting? I've heard it doesn't tell you in the headset, I want to get one, but I have a large IPD and it will be a waste for me to get if it doesn't go to 74mm. I can use headsets with less if they have a large lense sweet spot, but I'm not going to get this without knowing the max IPD and what the sweet spot is like for the lenses.
I can't find anything official but some reviewers have estimated it goes to about 72 or 73mm. Not perfect but you might be okay.
Anyone else already get charged for the psvr2? Lol gives me hope they’ll be shipping them out early so they get to everyone by launch day.

@@notBrocker did you check your order status? They’ve been starting to print out shipping labels and update tracking since Friday. I already got my tracking number and estimated day is 22nd.

I’m so tempted for psvr2 but I can only play sitting down - how much of a compromise is that??
I’ve heard from plenty of veteran VR guys that only play seated, so I don’t think you’d have a problem really. I preordered kayak, and I’m getting GT7 as free update, so I’ll be sitting anyway 😂

In don’t think anyone I know will buy one, most don’t even have a PS5, so I think they’ll all be flocking around this when it gets here. There are so much amazing games which works perfectly seated. I played through Ghost Giant last week and it was amazing
It's not. PSVR gives users the options of standing or of being seated so, no issues....and no compromise. Hence you can use the Kayak standing it would appear LOL!

seems you can play regular games too, basically a big screen tv
Games + Films can be played in cinema mode, but I believe it doesn't run it at 4K.

The thought of AR in a horror game terrifies me 😅 imagine being told to go to see through mode and then you turn around and see some creature peaking around the corner at you. Or a mirror reflection that doesn’t look like you 😭

It's my main concern as I ended up selling my PSVR1 for that reason

I have to wear a fairly strong prescription glasses, will it fit over and feel comfortable with my glasses on?
Check out VR optician, they make special lenses you can put on

Wish I could get on with VR. When I played in the first PSVR at a gaming convention I got real bad motion sickness 😅😂. Glad you all enjoy it 😊.
This happens with most people, to stop it from happening you have to just practise playing with it and your brain gets used to it. But it is important to take the headset off if you feel TOO sick
They've made a lot of adjustments by now to get rid of that motion sickness effect! I understand tho if it's more of a fear of it happening again bc that's def a gross feeling

Legit Question. Can you actually bring it close enough to touch the glasses. How careful do glasses wearers need to be. It was a big deal with PS1. Cheers.

I will be getting one of these if, and only if, Valve releases Half-life Alyx on it - it's the one VR game I really, really, really wanna play, so get it sorted Sony!
Alyx is NOT that good. Its a solid game but only because its in VR. Its not got holsters, its got one slow walking speed. Its extremely linear. And very short. You pick your weapons with a radial menu. RE8 and COTM will make Alyx look like last gen. Full disclosure, Ive played through Alyx twice.
There appears to be a lack of a mute button. Can you confirm or deny this please?
You can change the pass through button to work as a mute button if you wish, and put passthrough on the UI quick menu

Please warn your viewers. If the setup is Interupted, your psvr2 becomes bricked. You won't be able to power it on or use it. This happened to me.
friend please if you read this comment, or someone else who reads it, let me know if there is any chance of sony releasing the blu-ray drive to read 3D discs with PSVR 2. I have several 3D blu-ray discs that I purchased to use with the PSVR 1 and the PS4, but unfortunately the PS5 does not read these discs. If you reading this know anything about it, let me know.
It is probably a licensing problem so there will be no support for 3d bluray on PS5

To all the people saying it's expensive just get a part time job in McDonald's work for 2 weeks and then quit by it there you have it don't be afraid of working you can jobs everywhere these days a pair of sneakers goes for about 200$ these days let's get with it my friends
Will never understand the whole "PSVR 2 is expensive" mentality, compared to what exactly since similar computer vr cost thousands to even run that'a not to mention the expensive headsets themselves, high end wireless ones only give you a couple of hours of run time at almost double the price
Hopefully it will get modded for PC. It would be awesome with Steam VR.
Just wondering what the marketing strategy was behind only releasing on PlayStation store at launch in the UK
Judging by the name of the channel, I bet their impressions are 100% positive. There are definite trade offs between this and a quest 2 headset like mura, blurry movements, cumbersome getting settings/the fit/controllers in hand/plugged in, just to get to a flat 3 DOF screen selecting things with the thumbsticks like a pancake gamer. But all in all it’s better because FOV + graphics
Another review in which everything about VR is great ^-^ Surely there must be things about PSVR2 which aren't that good that people should also know about.

Have these two never played with a quest 2 before? They act like pass through and seeing your controllers is new.
Coming from a PSVR1 it is a huge step and yes it is new to me

Yes there is 1 cable which allows for many more features like 4k per eye that the oculus cannot provide specifically because it is wireless
it's one cable so it's still incredible minimalist

The price point personally is absolutely ridiculous . The console is already near £500. Then £70 a game I couldn’t justify this id much rather buy more games.
Except it's not ridiculous because you're buying a VR headset, VR headsets are expensive, what do you expect? It's the cheapest headset for the specs by far...
The best part is it’s optional, you don’t need it so why go around complaining on videos about psvr2 that it’s so expensive if you never had any intention of buying it? Lol these videos are for people that already preordered one or are on the fence, not the people that are all “wahh vr too expensive on ps5, but pc vr costing more than 2k isn’t bad at all…” lol
It’s a 4k panel oled hdr vr headset with hand tracked controllers. The price is not ridiculous at all, I’m actually surprised that it’s at this price considering the tech in it.
It's a high-end VR headset. And it's still cheaper then its PC counter parts. Even with the ps5 console you need to buy. But hey, even a PCVR headset needs a gooood PC. At this point psvr2 is the best vr headset you can buy at a fair price.

Quest 2 £300-£400(wireless) depending on sale, Ps5 no disc/disc £390/£480 and Psvr2(not wireless) £530 means to play Psvr2 £920/£1010 why would anyone pay this much for a few psvr2 exclusives?
If you can't afford it just don't.
Noone is telling you to buy it and noone cares if you don't.
