Testing the update to the F14. It's a lot faster than before. Time = 11:50. Lots of fuel left at the end so it can be even quicker.
Timer starts at wheels rolling and ends at under the bridge and over the dam.
Must land plane for run to count.
Altitude Limits for Canyonball:

@@BCS09 DCS F-14 model is much more realistic, also watching this feels like an Ace Combat Tomcat gameplay, don't get me wrong... MFS is very good
Dcs is all about fighter planes Msfs is not
He is using the arcade flight model (you can change that in the options)
When you came up on that double bridge I was like "Ya gotta roll as you go under!". And you did. 10 points AWESOME!

Looks like they've patched the roll rate so it's not as twitchy. I've got a second vid on the channel showing it...but the jet pulls 11+g now so theres that.

I've flown through canyons in DCS and no, tomcats are no where near this stable. If you don't know how to control the plane, you will lose it into the mountain side which is very easy to do.
@@Razgriz0111 That is exactly why i am saying this. DCS just has the more realistic flight physics. I fly the F-14 aswell.

The flight model of this Tomcat seems very arcade-ish, but also very fun.
Yes, the simulation is sped up but I know what you mean. looks fake as fuck.
Yeah it does but its the super tomcat model not the actual F14
I have noticed that as well.... also in the hornet. When you pull heavy G's you should lose airspeed but MSFS doesn't seem to model that in these airframes.

The flight model here doesn't seem realistic , It perform better than actual F-14. DCS is got it right That's my jam. But what I'm more interested here is the train . very nice environment. I want to fly into this canyons with DCS flight model .

Just out of curiosity - would this be allowed in real life to do ( obviously not in a military fighter jet, but maybe a single or double prop plane) according to FAA rules? Or would you get slapped with handcuffs as soon as you land and the authorities knew.
From what I can read the whole river area is no flight below 8k, 14,5k and 18k feet thoughout that area. So yeah, illegal.

Imagine being a hiker and all of a sudden you see an F-14 flyby going Mach 1, and they're at a lower altitude than YOU.
Also a couple of moments i thought for sure you'd be splattered on the canyon wall. How many F-14s did you lose practicing all this?

I have a question . Why doesn't every plane I download and put in the Community folder come into the game!
Couldn't tell you. I download planes from the in game store usually and it takes care of the rest. I got this f14 from there. The only plane I got from outside was the tms f22 and that came with an installer.

You mean afterburners? It should just go on at 100% throttle. I don't think it needs to be activated on the f14. I'm also using an Xbox controller so not sure why it's not working for you.

What are youre pc settings the Canyon looks horrible but the flying is great.
Idk but they're not very high. I do what I can.
Parts of the Canyon look bad regardless as they haven't been shown any love and are unoptimized. Even with high settings you will visually notice it.

Looks like someone slapped the StarFox 64 flight model on the Tomcat and called it a day.
Flight model has since been updated. But it's still not perfect imo. The roll rate is a little smoother though so it's not as janky.
I would say there is an issue with scale. its way too big.

Is it just full throttle all the time?
No, you have to cut throttle and use the brakes on a lot of turns. Check on the bottom left and you can see the throttle positions.

Dude, I have both this game and jet, and while yes she is a fast girl, is not remotely that responsive or that quick to adapt. All gauge readings and those ailerons flickering like insect wings alone say this has a sim rate increase on; cannot be a video speed increase since audio pitches are correct. Regardless, I say again, you flew it well
I appreciate the compliment, but this is 1x. The plane was just glitchy a few patches ago. I never mess with the sim rate feature in this game. A few other players online run this same route and they've done it even faster in this same jet. Can't explain why the plane looks how it does. That's dc designs thing.
